“Got an egg & cheese with hash brown and it was really good - $8. I would definitely come back and try their other menu items. They don't have barista type coffee which I was sad about but they do have a coffee machine you can serve yourself. The owners seem very nice and care to cook your food to your liking. There is street parking and a loading only zone which helps if you just want to grab something quick and head out.“

“☕️The Parkway Deli has a hidden gem—a cozy little coffee shop that’s a must-try!!!! They brew Rival Bros coffee, and let me tell you, it’s seriously good. I’ve been to my share of cafés, but the quality here is on point. I had the Tiramisu Cream Latte, and it was fire! Their fresh pastries hit the spot too!????Definitely swing by and treat yourself!“

“This little deli has the best sandwiches! It’s very clean and organized every worker I’ve encountered has been professional and pleasant. They have so many things a little corner store would have. I love stopping by when I’m at my daughters’ school apartment, to pick up lunch or to check out their bakery items that they have that day.“

“Great Italian hoagie. Authentic South Philly. I do have to warn you - if you’re not familiar with authentic ingredients, like the crusty seeded bread and aged cured meats, it may not be to your liking. Hoagie commissars will love it.“

“Wonderful little shop in the heart of South Philly. The variety of sandwiches and the freshness of the meats and cheeses makes this a go-to. Besides the normal deli sandwiches, they also have specialty items available. The food combined with the friendly customer service makes this the place to go if your looking for a flavorful bite for lunch. I would suggest calling ahead as they do tend to get crowded.“

“If you want an outstanding specialty hoagie or sandwich do not pass this place up. I always get a roast beef hoagie with sharp provolone, garlic mayo, lettuce, tomato, xtra onions and long hots on a seeded roll. Melts in your mouth. Then I get something else for my wife so I can try her’s. We lived a block and a half from there for 15 years but only went there twice (for reasons unknown). Moved 2 miles away and get there as much as possible. Go figure“

“We stopped there today on a sub run to phila from Millville n.j. We tried 3 places. Have to say Lil Nick's Deli was amazing. The Italian sub was the best one we have tried. Staff was nice and pretty sure it was the owner was making our subs. He recommended a sub to try and we did. Definitely will be going back.“

The value for the food was fairly price; got 4 banana pancakes for around $10. The pancakes were very delicious and they were perfectly cook. Don’t sleep on good deli!“

“Review and big shout out to the great folks at Dattilios - Northeast Philly. Ordered a Steak with sharp Provolone, onions and long hots. Excellent meat to cheese ratio. Mildly chopped and flavorful steak. Family owned and operated. Incredibly nice staff of people there. Rating 8.5. Recommend it highly.“

“I was gifted a selection of Pastificio products
Cheese Ravioli, Meatballs, Italian Sausage and a quart of red sauce to assemble at home. Exquisitely prepared and ready for an easy dinner in minutes.
The flavors brought me back to family meals made by my Great Grandmother and Great Aunts.
The pasta itself is slightly thicker and denser than supermarket “ fresh” product with a wonderful texture and nuttiness, the ricotta is clearly a high quality cheese with a perfect consistency and moisture balance.
Meatballs have a fine grain with a perfect balance of flavor. Italian sausages where cooked evenly, meat flavors forward and seasonings playing a solid support role. Red sauce is perfectly simple with a hint of acidity and natural sweetness, make it your own with herbs or simmering meats.
The store is divinely scented , well organized, brightly lit, squeaky clean and staff are outgoing and friendly.
Sandwiches here are always consistently delicious, and the cannoli fresh.
Parking is plentiful too!“

“Came here for the first time after seeing the highly rated reviews. Wow, they are well-deserved! Almost hidden in the Jewelers' Row District is a small, hole-in-the-wall sandwich shop that will have you leaving with a big impression: their hoagies are just fantastic! I ordered a 10" roast beef hoagie with lettuce, onion, tomato, hot peppers, provolone, and mayo, and almost had difficulty finishing it because the sub was packed! Everything tasted fresh, and I was pleasantly surprised that the hot peppers actually had some heat to them.Pam, who rang me up, is a very sweet person, and the shop is run by her and Joe. The owners recommend calling in to place orders as it takes some time to slice everything fresh, and today they actually sold out early afternoon as I was finishing my hoagie. Keep in mind this was a Wednesday. Needless to say, I will be coming back!“

“My go to spot for sure! Have almost everything I need & great sandwiches . If I ever mention them not having something I need, it’s there next time I pop in.
Only complaint (if any) is that they don’t take credit cards. And sometimes get backed up during lunch since they are so popular.“

“This hoagie shop delivers quality (Deitz & Watson) lunch meats with a smile! You can have your hoagie made by them, or buy the rolls and lunch meat to make your own at home. When I order my hoagie I ask her to make it the opposite way she makes others, which is the correct way to make the sandwich. For some reason she thinks the lettuce and veggies should go on first, then cheese and lunch meat. I know I won't be able to eat a whole hoagie in one sitting and I'll have to wrap half back up for later. If the lettuce is what makes contact with the bun, the hoagie will be soggy later on. For me it should be cheese, meat, lettuce and veggies (on top) in that order. Picky? I think not. I ask for this because I like her shop and I want to support her small business, she doesn't mind at all. If you want your sandwich made the conventional way, you'll have to ask. While the worker or owner are making my sandwich, I check out what she has in her store. I like to get a big pickle, chips, and rice pudding. I get the rice pudding immediately because there may only be a few and someone else might choose this popular dessert. I check her freezers for good tv dinners and for water ices. The water ice is pre-portioned and prepackaged but still yummy. It's easy to just grab one. There Are other groceries available here, so I can grab what I need quickly. The owner is super nice, I consider her my friend. Always pleasant and smiling, I'm happy to give her my business at every opportunity. So, try calling ahead because the shop can be busy, and enjoy a banging sandwich from party time!“
“This is the first review I've ever written, on any platform! But I feel the insuppressible urge to say this:I bought the Honey Maple Turkey Sandwich.I took a bite.I knelt, I smiled, and then I cried.P.S. The kneeling down part is obviously an exaggeration, but everything else is true. This sandwich... man... it works great wonders. I've never thought I'd write a review for a freaking sandwich, but here I am. And I hope you will too.“

“Update #2 6/26/2024
New Management, Again
> the original Jewish Deli owners of City Line Deli 5 stars
>> The Asian couple owners - just never really figured out how to run the place. Didn’t even know how to hire and fire employees if they were terrible. 2 stars
>>> now the 3rd time as they say is the charm. New Owners seemed great!!
Back to 5 stars at least for my order :0)
Wow! Now this is unique, Muslims running what was once a very well known and excellent 5 Star Jewish Deli. I got takeout Lox bagel sandwich + FF
The guy running the counter was great (new Muslim owner) and my bagel lox cream cheese capers onion & tomato sandwich was excellent & great fries.
So, noticing the Asian owners were gone and a counter guy with a bit of, hey this guy looks and sounds like he might be Muslim, I asked him - are you the new owner? Smiling proudly he said yes, I leaned in and quietly asked - are you Muslim? He said yes and I gave him my heartfelt Salaams. I love having the skill and knowledge of knowing how to greet people from a few different religions.
The place looked and felt very clean, the atmosphere had changed too. Bright and friendly and professional too. The “Vibe” of a good Deli was back, nice!
The 5 stars is for excellent service getting takeout and the food portions and the food quality. I have not sat down for waitress service and have not ordered any other food. This review is only for those things. But, based on that experience I will definitely go back.
- - - - - - - -
btw - I also love the full circle of the original owners being devout and now back to the new devout owners. Whether you bend, bow, kneel, sit or turn is not relevant, having faith is:0)
Vegetarian options: Vegans not so much, but vegetarians will be fine, as long as you still eat eggs and/or fish with gills.“

“Can't say enough positive things! We had my husband's surprise party here and everyone LOVED it! Not only was the food yummy (holy mozzarella) but the staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make the night special. They went as far as to coordinate with me to have a decoy sales person at the store entrance when we arrived ensuring that it was a total surprise when he walked down the stairs to find 17 of his closest friends waiting with drinks in hand. Great food, awesome staff, love the BYOB. Highly recommend private events here!“

The old deli feel inside and the amazing selection of pastries almost makes it hard to come in without wanting to take everything home with you.
