“I am SHOCKED at the quality of this humble food truck. The samosas, chili chicken, and saag paneer are as good or better than many local Indian restaurants —fantastic flavors and ingredient quality. The kindness and pride in her work of the woman behind the meal is also wonderful to see and so much appreciated. The affordable prices also mean I can make this cart a regular addition to my takeout rotation. Note — because everything is fresh it does take some time to prepare, I would say more than your average cart. I wouldn't at all let this deter you from grabbing food here, I would just recommend calling ahead.“

“Without a doubt one of the friendliest people in Philadelphia serving up some of the best and freshest halal you can find. “I have been buying food from the Khan family for years now, and not only are they very kind people but they serve fantastic food! Huge platters with a free soda, and very affordable too. They also recently added menu items like samosa and kebab which most hala karts lack. Food is always fresh and delicious. Highly recommended!“

Delivery was fast and delivered hot, I order the chicken ranchero pizza, it's was very good, only thing It could of used is a little bit more tomatoes but other then that I highly recommend trying it. “Really liked the food here. The hot chicken had a nice crispy coating and good flavor, with just enough heat from the seasoning. The gyro was good too. The meat was tender, the toppings were fresh, and the sauce wasn't too heavy.

The portions were pretty generous, and everything came out fresh. The place was busy when I went, but the staff were friendly and I didn't have to wait too long for my order.

I didn't even have to ask for hot sauce because it's offered on most platters along with white sauce. (Definitely choose both. )There's plenty of seating on nearby benches and the campus grass too. “Every time I come here, the food and service are incredible. Everyone who works here is so helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and all of the food options. And the food itself is SOOOO tasty and delicious. Everything I’ve tried has been 10/10. I strongly recommend coming here! My personal favorite is the Arabic salad with chicken shawarma (pictured below). The ingredients are all fresh and the chicken is so juicy and tender while packed with flavor. And the prices are unbeatable. There’s so many options in this general area for halal food, but this is my all time favorite.“

“I grew up on homemade Middle Eastern food made daily by my parents, so I’m very picky when it comes to authenticity. I’ve tried a few places that just didn’t hit the mark—but AL SHAM in Chalfont is a straight 10/10!! They serve real Arabic bread (pita)—not tortillas disguised as pita like you find at other places—and their homemade Lebanese toum (garlic aioli) is the real deal. One bite of their falafel wrap instantly transported me to a boardwalk in Lebanon, overlooking the Mediterranean—complete with fresh bread, Lebanese pickles, and those perfect pickled turnips. The meat is 100% Halal and you can taste the quality. Flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. **This is the kind of spot you want to support. “I visited the truck during my lunch break to pick up lunch for me and my mother. We both got the chicken over rice with the salad. The man in the truck was very nice and personable. The person in front of me ordered six plates, and he served them promptly. When it was my turn order, he greeted me warmly and served the food fairly quickly. The food is delicious and the portions are great, the meal comes with a drink as well. it's a plentiful serving because I only ate half for dinner and had the other half the next day for lunch and it was just as delicious. I think overall, you can't beat the delectable taste with the price. 10/10“

“This has been my favorite halal cart in the city for some time. If you live in the city you know there are bad carts and good carts, this is one of the best. Lamb and falafel are excellent. Service is quick and it's surrounded by perfect places to sit and eat. You will not be disappointed here. He isnt open too late, it varies with weather and time of year, but get there quickly after work. 5-6 pm he is usually still there.“

Love the melt-in-your-mouth bread which I've never had before; so good I ate it by itself in about 10 seconds. Things that could use improvement are the salad which was a little too tart and the baba ganoush which had some hard pieces. Overall a good experience.“

It was a pleasure talking with the guys who run the truck while waiting to get my order! and getting some amazing food from them! I got the combo platter with fries and took it over to gorgas park! Can't wait to be back!“

“The pilaf is dry, the rice is always undercooked, and the pilaf itself is tasteless, lacking the wonderful, rich flavor that this delicious dish should have.
I recommend adding more salt when preparing the zirvak* adding more carrots (there clearly aren't enough in the dish), and steaming the rice until fully cooked. Currently, it seems the rice is undercooked by about 20%.

Update: The pilaf is much better now. I recommend it 👍“
