“I grew up on homemade Middle Eastern food made daily by my parents, so I’m very picky when it comes to authenticity. I’ve tried a few places that just didn’t hit the mark—but AL SHAM in Chalfont is a straight 10/10!! They serve real Arabic bread (pita)—not tortillas disguised as pita like you find at other places—and their homemade Lebanese toum (garlic aioli) is the real deal. One bite of their falafel wrap instantly transported me to a boardwalk in Lebanon, overlooking the Mediterranean—complete with fresh bread, Lebanese pickles, and those perfect pickled turnips. The meat is 100% Halal and you can taste the quality. Flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. **This is the kind of spot you want to support. We’ll be back again and again—do yourself a favor and try them ASAP**“

“This is my favorite food in the neighborhood! You can’t beat the price for the platters, which end up being two meals for me. My husband and I often buy two dishes and share so we can have falafel AND chicken, plus leftovers. I know the guy working there is watching the neighborhood too, because he asks about my whereabouts and pays attention to what’s going on. That’s nice to have on that corner. Anyway, I’m sorry I didn’t ask your name! I will next time.“

“I've been eating from the trucks in this area for 5 years now and Nafi Food Express has become my favorite truck in the area. First, the owners of the truck are particularly friendly and generous to people in this area. Next, I absolutely love their chili chicken over rice. It is extremely flavorful and quite spicy. It's a refreshing and lighter alternative to the heavier foods served by trucks around this area. I can't recommend this dish enough. I also enjoy the $1 naan. I consider it a pleasure to recommend this food truck to people in the area.“

“I tried their lamb over rice and fried chicken with fries they all tasted fantastic. The fried chicken had so much flavor with the skin really crispy and flavorful. Lamb over rice was very good too. Prices were very reasonable with a lot of food. Customer service is well and people were very friendly. If in Philadelphia, this is a must try.“

“Where can you find a good quality tasty and satisfying lunch that's for less than $10 in town? Penn Halal food truck on 40th and Locust that's where! I didn't even have to ask for hot sauce because it's offered on most platters along with white sauce. (Definitely choose both. )There's plenty of seating on nearby benches and the campus grass too. If the weather is nice it's all the atmosphere you need!“

“Genuinely, do not sleep on this place. The food is out of this world. So good, so flavorful, and so wonderfully cooked. I had this place on my radar after they made the Inquirer's Best Falafel list, and it exceeded my expectations. It's also surprisingly affordable as far as take-out goes. Our delivery order of two sandwiches, two platters, and an order of baba ganouj was only $60, including GrubHub fees and driver tip. The portions are great. You'll be satisfied and full. I will absolutely be a regular customer moving forward.“

“This is fresh and hot , great chicken and rice with 2 kinds of rice , I eat this every day, all food is cooked and sourced by the owner and his brother chicken is fresh and not little red squares like premade stuff , he cooks and cuts chicken right in front of you , there’s a big lineup every day so it’s best to call in your order for quick in and out , if you like fish , his is out of this world good , can’t wait for deliver so just call and go get it , tell him (Kahn) that mike sent you for extras on your order , try this if you like spicy food or just good food quickly“

“I visited the truck during my lunch break to pick up lunch for me and my mother. We both got the chicken over rice with the salad. The man in the truck was very nice and personable. The person in front of me ordered six plates, and he served them promptly. When it was my turn order, he greeted me warmly and served the food fairly quickly. The food is delicious and the portions are great, the meal comes with a drink as well. it's a plentiful serving because I only ate half for dinner and had the other half the next day for lunch and it was just as delicious. I think overall, you can't beat the delectable taste with the price. 10/10“

“This has been my favorite halal cart in the city for some time. If you live in the city you know there are bad carts and good carts, this is one of the best. Lamb and falafel are excellent. Service is quick and it's surrounded by perfect places to sit and eat. You will not be disappointed here. He isnt open too late, it varies with weather and time of year, but get there quickly after work. 5-6 pm he is usually still there.“

“The pilaf is dry, the rice is always undercooked, and the pilaf itself is tasteless, lacking the wonderful, rich flavor that this delicious dish should have.
I recommend adding more salt when preparing the zirvak* adding more carrots (there clearly aren't enough in the dish), and steaming the rice until fully cooked. Currently, it seems the rice is undercooked by about 20%.
Update: The pilaf is much better now. I recommend it 👍“

“This was my first visit after morning service. The truck is clean and the service good. I was able to wait in my car while my meal was prepared. Great presentation of the meal items and the flavor and seasonings great! I was pleasantly surprised!“
“Best halal I have ever had!! I orded a lamb Gyro and the pita was hot and crispy. Big portions and the white & hot sauce was delicious. Food was fast, and there were way more beverage options than other halal carts. If your going to a food cart this is the one you want to eat at.“
“Not sure if I'm writing the review for the right location. I ordered the lamb gyro and it was very good. Very flavorful and fresh. If you're in Philly, please give these carts a try. Hardworking people making very good affordable food.“

“This review is about the second Khan truck that serves smash burgers, fries. The truck is right next to the OG Khan's Halal food truck.
The burger, fries, their secret sauce ... everything was delicious. Burger had pickles and caramelized onions. Bun was soft and smashed patty was juicy. Not at all dry. And it had a slice of cheese. Cost under $10.
The Pakistani guy who was making the burger was well mannered and spoke English very well. I highly recommend this truck.“

“New York Famous Gyro Halal Food is a total winner — 5 stars for me! The food is spot-on: juicy, well-seasoned chicken/beef gyro with fresh veggies, perfect white sauce, and that classic NYC street-cart flavor in a clean, quick-serve spot. Portions are generous and everything tasted fresh.
Service was fast and friendly — guys behind the counter were welcoming and got orders out lightning quick even during the rush. Atmosphere is no-frills (classic halal cart/truck vibe inside), but super clean and welcoming.
Great value too — solid meal for around $10–12 per person. If you’re craving authentic NYC halal gyro without the wait, this place delivers every time. Highly recommend!“

“for 9 dollars, you get a HEFTY ratio of meat to rice. some platters are 6-7 dollars around the city but you definitely feel like you get way too much rice and not enough meat.
was pleasantly surprised by the amount of lamb!! very tender and flavorful also was ready in like a minute. 10/10!! ask for extra sauce (i forgot)“

“TRUST ALL THE 5 STAR REVIEWS!!! I have passed by this place on my way to work and back home again everyday for as long as it's been open. For whatever reason I never decided to stop. I pulled up around 8:30pm which is just a half hour until they close and had no issue getting served. I got the lamb over rice and it was absolutely amazing. The white sauce is soooooo good. The man running the place seemed like a nice guy too. I'm not one to take the time to write a review, but this food was so good that I felt it necessary to leave one. I can say for certain that I will now be a regular here. Enjoy!“

“This was my first experience with Yemeni food. I ordered the saltah which came with one piece of the bread. I loved the flavor and having the bread was perfect!
I thought the portion size for the price was good. As other reviewers mentioned, you do need to pay for water.“
