“I grew up on homemade Middle Eastern food made daily by my parents, so I’m very picky when it comes to authenticity. I’ve tried a few places that just didn’t hit the mark—but AL SHAM in Chalfont is a straight 10/10!! They serve real Arabic bread (pita)—not tortillas disguised as pita like you find at other places—and their homemade Lebanese toum (garlic aioli) is the real deal. One bite of their falafel wrap instantly transported me to a boardwalk in Lebanon, overlooking the Mediterranean—complete with fresh bread, Lebanese pickles, and those perfect pickled turnips. The meat is 100% Halal and you can taste the quality. Flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. **This is the kind of spot you want to support. We’ll be back again and again—do yourself a favor and try them ASAP**“

“We didn’t get to eat at Zahav - but got the next big thing and ordered the Lamb Meal from gold belly with salatim. It was DELICIOUS!! Best lamb we have ever had, so delicious. Salads were yummy, hummus well done and could easily feed 6 adults. So. Much. Food. If you can’t make it to the restaurant- order the kit from Goldbelly and treat yourself!“

“Highly recommend Dizengoff if you’re in Philly and craving authentic Middle Eastern flavors. This cozy spot, from chef Michael Solomonov delivers Israeli street food vibes with serious flavor. The Lamb Köfte wrap was amazing! 🌯 Fresh lamb meatballs, chopped Salad, Sumac Onions, Tehina, Israeli pickel, hot pepper, wrapped in pita Isralie Breakfast also a MUST try! Za’atar Omelette, Labneh, Schug, Olives, Chopped Salad, Pita Our table shared an unbelievably smooth and rich plate of Hummus Yerushalmi 🥙 Beef, Baharat, Pine Nuts, Parsley, served warm with pillowy, freshly baked pita that’s worth the trip alone. The atmosphere is casual and energetic, with friendly staff who are happy to explain the menu. WOULD LOVE TO SEE THIS CONCEPT IN BALTIMORE! 🇮🇱 ממש טעים“

“Food, price and service were good. The wasn't a lot of seating for guest, between the pick delivery guys and non-custoners off the street just hanging out seating was difficult.
But overall good food and variety 😋.“

“Delicious food for a very good price. Shawarma wraps are on point and their mixed grill platter has delicious meats for a group of 3-4 people. Definitely recommend this spot if you crave some middle eastern Halal food. The staff is the most friendiest and will always accommodate as they can for any request.“

“We stopped in on a quiet, slightly cold, cloudy Sunday. The dining room was calm when we arrived, and while I appreciate a peaceful space, it was easy to imagine the room filling with energy during busier hours. The atmosphere still held its own even in the quiet.
The hummus was excellent. Silky texture, balanced acidity, and a gentle nutty depth that showed real care. Warm pita made it even better.
The plov was the most compelling dish. Fragrant rice, tender meat, and vegetables that kept their integrity. Every component tasted deliberate and well seasoned.
The cheese naan was another strong point. Crisp on the outside, soft inside, and a clean cheese pull that made it far too easy to reach for another piece.
Green tea finished the meal with a clear, earthy warmth. Simple. Effective. Exactly as it should be served.
A thoughtful and well executed meal. Five stars.“

“Everything we ordered was so fresh, portions so large we had to take a lot home. They even went to effort to find us tabbouleh when they thought it was sold out and was it delicious. Our party included one vegan, one vegetarian and one mainly veg. Special mention to the pita, a cloud of wonderfulness, and the ginger juice, a spicy, sweet, delicious treat. We'll be back soon!“
“New York Gyro is a standout — full 5 stars! The food is excellent: juicy, well-spiced chicken & lamb gyros with fresh veggies, creamy tzatziki, and that perfect NYC street flavor. Portions are generous and everything tasted super fresh.
Service was fast and friendly — quick smiles and orders out in no time. Atmosphere is classic halal cart style: clean, casual, bustling energy that feels authentically New York.
Great value for a satisfying, flavorful meal. One of the best gyros in the city — highly recommend!“

“Saad’s has one of the best cheesesteaks in the city. Yes, you heard that right. The halal nature of their cooking means they have the finest meats, cheese, and bread. The steak was very flavorful without the greasy mess that a lot of others have. The fries are amazing, too. The place is a little small so getting it to-go is recommended. All-in-all, you can’t go wrong here.“

“Erfan is a great guy! I had his food truck for two years during Covid while living nearby, he was there every day, and the food is super good and consistent. This time I returned to Philly and I came straight back, after all these years, his food is still amazing.“

“I would give this place an infinite amount of stars if it were possible. When me and my friends lived around here, we loved hitting this Halal cart up on Friday nights. We even made the occasional pilgrimage there once we lived in separate places around Philly.Majit (and later Salman) always whipped up the freshest food, had a smile on their face, and were glad to talk with us. Salt of the earth. If you like Halal you owe it to yourself to get in front of the Fishtown Planet Fitness and order a lamb/falafel combo platter with your sauces of choice.“
“The halal gyro express cart at the corner of 13th and chestnut is by far the best halal food I’ve ever had. The chicken and rice is out of this world and the white sauce is the best I’ve ever had. Keep up the good work!!!“

“This place was a short walk from my hotel so I came here a few times. It's named Ed's on the outside. They have halal options and the food was great! I tried a variety of stuff from here and each one did not disappoint. If you want a good halal cheesesteak come here. It's always busy and filled with college kids. The staff is also nice!“

“This is the second time I’ve had a negative experience with the cashier on the right side at Barakat Market. When I politely asked for a bag, she reacted angrily without any reason. This kind of behavior is not acceptable, and I hope management addresses it.“

“Everything I've eaten here I loved! Their falafel & chicken shish kebab especially, their hummus & pita which are fresh, homemade (& delish), cheese rekakat (new to me & a new fav'), toum garlic whip & za'atar pita chips. I've only ordered through Grubhub but I would go there for lunch if I had time.“

“Let me start by saying I love the food at The Halal Guys so much that I ate there pretty much 4/4 nights a week for a year straight after work before trimming it back. I've never done that with any other restaurant. The gentleman I spoke to leaving the restaurant the other night said he drove 40 minutes to come enjoy the food. All of the food is very fresh. They are always cooking fresh chicken and beef. All the veggies are a great addition to the platter along with the fresh rice that is always being replenished. The hummus is very good and when you add the chili based hot sauce and mix it up, it's heaven. For those who can't handle the heat, there's their very popular "white sauce". King of Prussia is always very busy. Please do not let "Bobby Bobby" deter you from going to The Halal guys. He clearly doesn't understand the restaurant business......no crime. Look at his bowl. It has chicken and rice ONLY. Evidently he thinks since he is afraid of eating veggies that the rest of his bowl should be filled with extra meat. Sorry Bobby Bobby; that is not how any restaurant works. This place gives a ton of food. I rarely finish my small bowl and have never ordered a large one. In this business you could have the best product and location but take away top notch customer service and a highly dedicated GM/owner and get ready for your "Grand Closing". Caesar has been the GM at KOP for years now and I've never seen him have a bad day. He always has a smile on his face and treats all of his customers with the utmost respect. His customer service is exceptional. This is extremely rare. How do I know this? 35 years in the restaurant industry. Hail Caesar!!“

“We ate here for the first time and I think this is the best place I’ve ever eaten. The staff was super friendly, they were very accommodating to my gluten allergy, and the food portions were huge. I really enjoyed everything. I wish they would open a restaurant on the Florida Panhandle or honestly anywhere within 8 hours drive of us.“
