“So happy to see one of my favorite food trucks is back! Food still slaps after all these years. Love the chicken katsu, which is so crispy and juicy, and I enjoyed a delicious platter today. You can choose tacos, burrito, platter or a burger for the protein options. The peanut curry chicken over rice is also phenomenal but only available on Monday and Tuesday. I’ll be back soon for that plus some shrimp katsu. The folks on the truck couldn’t be nicer!“
“Nice atmosphere, the waiter was really attentive, lots of options on the menu and the food came out quickly and tasted amazing. I also loved that they had a lot of different mocktails on the menu. I got Dan Dan noodles and the sunset marteani and everything was so good. Would definitely come again to try more of their “
“We sat at the bar, and had amazing time with our Bartender Ali! She’s very knowledgeable of the menu, and will definitely provide great advice on how to best utilize the menu to have an amazing meal! The flavors are amazing, the service is prompt, and all the attention to detail is present! A must visit if you’re in Philadelphia and love food!“
“Amazing place! Authentic Thai restaurant, family owned with great, outrageously delicious food. I am not exaggerating. Ordered Chicken Satay and a Chicken on Tamarind sauce. Sophisticated flavor, presentation, great service and ambiance. New favorite!“
“I've been a customer of Trio BYOB for almost a decade. And I can honestly say they're the best Thai restaurant in the city. Everything is always tasty and fresh. I like the fact that they have their own ordering website which works very well so you don't have to deal with tech disruptors and they also do their own delivery. The delivery guy is friendly, courteous and kind. But getting back to the food, they also offer creative specials which you can also order via delivery, as well as dining in. That includes desserts. And what desserts! Hazelnut torte, panna cotta. Very impressive. I rave about this place to everyone I know. Stop by and experience Thai food that is a cut above.“
“This place is just recently opened and received pretty good reviews, so I decided to try it out.everything we ordered was tasty with a generous portions, but the flavor was just too sweet for me and my boyfriend. I know Thai food is sweet, but this is another level of sweet. And the coconut noodle soup, it has no flavor and tasted so coconuty. It would have been better if they use rice noodle or glass noodle instead of vermicelli noodle. The ambience is plain, but it looks new and clean. The color of the building looks unattractive in my opinion.Service is good, but it takes awhile for the food to come out. They seem to be more busy with takeout orders.Overall, a decent Thai food with good portion and reasonable price. Tip: pay in CASH, you’ll get 5% off and they also accept Venmo.“
“I had an absolutely lovely lunch here the other week and the hostess was so wonderful and absolutely kind. She led us to our table with such poise and compassion, I just knew that this meal was going to be a good one. What a lovely young lady with such fine mannerisms.“
“This is some of the best pad see ew I've had in a long time. The waiting staff was friendly and checked in on us enough to make sure we had what we needed, but not so much that they distracted from our conversation. I'll definitely be back!“
“This is hands down the best Thai restaurant in the northeast. & my second favorite Thai restaurant in the city. I'm a big fan of their drunken noodle! Their spicy basil fried rice is always delicious. & you definitely can't go wrong with their red curry or green curry dishes either. If you're in the mood for some delicious Thai cuisine you won't regret stopping in here a bite to eat.“
“Spicy Chicken Thai Fried Rice along with Fried Pork Dumplings (8pc) and . Bun Bo Hue (Hue Spicy Noodle Soup) was so delicious... I always order from here and had only one bad experience other than that, the food is always fresh, flavorful and delicious!!! Will be ordering again...“
“I got the lunch special. The food was great but lacking in quantity. I left hungry almost every time. The people are sweet and it’s a very nice little place. I just wish there was more food even if it was a side of white rice. $20 and Im leaving hungry. Such a shame because everything else is wonderful.“
“I am so happy this place opened on 2nd street!! Everything my man and I ordered had such tasty and unique flavor. We ordered the drunken noodles (which I was so excited about and met my expectations), tofu fried rice, crab rangoon, and a few sushi rolls. My man usually says his food is fine, however, he said this place is BANGIN which amazed me. Atmosphere is gorgeous. Service is so sweet and kind although I do think our waitress could have been a bit more attentive to details like water refills, empty plates, etc…I didn’t even mind though because she was so sweet and amazing in every other way. I can’t wait to try more items on the menu and am glad nolibs finally has great sushi!!!!“
“202311I was walking by and saw a bowl of soup for $3! It’s very cheap + I love soup, so I immediately took out the coconut shrimp soup. I heated it up at home and it turned out super delicious! Very tasty, sweet and sour and appetizing. I will buy it again next time!“
“It’s been a few months since I last ordered from Asian Fresh Kitchen. As they say first impressions last !! The first time I ordered here the food was amazing, the second not so good. Last night feeling under the weather, I decided to give Asian Fresh Kitchen another shot.II ordered General Tso’s chicken, vegetable, lo mein, one shrimp roll, and two orders of chicken on a stick. I ordered on Uber eats and within about 20 minutes the driver arrived. the food was delivered in a paper bag that was sealed. The food was piping hot. I was really impressed with how well it was packaged. To my delight General Tso’s Chicken was moist, savory, spicy and delicious the broccoli was perfect !!! The vegetable lo mein was very tasty ? The noodles were cooked to perfection !! Chicken on the stick was a first for me. I thought that it was Salty, crunchy and very tasty and lastly the shrimp roll was moist and delicious.I’m not sure what happened this past summer when something just seemed to change here but regardless these pictures and this tasty food says that Asian Fresh Kitchen is back on track serving delicious savory Chinese food !! Take a look ? you know your mouth is watering, so do what’s right and make that phone call and order some of this amazing food !!! Well Done Asian Fresh Kitchen !!“
“An unassuming thai restoraunt in the middle of nowhere (at least to me as a visitor of the city). It was a small cozy resto with decent service and some lowkey décor. Gold coloured cups was a plus. Chicken skewers - White meat was dry, but the peanut sauce was really good. Pad see ew - pad see ew was tasty. The stirfried dish was seasoned well with lots of different flavour. It was only missing a bit of char, otherwise really good. Would recommend. Some decent food, but as a tourist to the city, I would not be coming back. There are other restos for me to try. But as a local, I can see myself coming back to grab casual meals.“
“There was a mishap with my DoorDash order and I called the restaurant. They were so kind and apologetic and sent me my meal with an extra thai tea. It was so sweet and the hostess I spoke with on the phone was so kind and helpful! Highly recommend them for great food and great service.“
“They have a $10 lunch special which is unheard of in this economy - it's fallen off the website's menu but you can get any of the typical thai favs (red curry, drunken noodles, etc.) with rice and a side salad. Generous portions, too. Just be sure to call ahead to ensure they're offering it before going in! I'm always a fan of a fried wonton and their golden bags are a good app to pair with your lunch special entree.“
“Great little place + very decent prices for these days, i've been steady disappointed by Thai lately and can't afford even a lot of hole in the wall places. It's very rare that a curry is fully flavorful, they were nice, simple cute spot, definitely was busy with tons of takeout, cooked fresh so there was a bit of a wait which seemed normal considering it's a small spot. Rare to find a place worth going back! The Thai iced tea was correct!“
“Diving into Golden Triangle unveils not just a meal, but a passport to a culinary expedition specializing in the Southeast Asian flavors of Thailand, Malaysia, and Myanmar. Tucked away in the heart of Philly, this humble gem offers an intimate escape to distant lands with its quiet, casual ambiance and a cozy dining room that boasts no more than eight tables. Our adventure began with the Malaysian classic, Roti Canai -- a delightfuly crispy, flaky, chewy marvel that serves as a prelude to the symphony of flavors awaiting us. Paired with a rich curry chicken potato dip, this dish was a standing ovation in the making. Then came the Sambal Shrimp, a bold ensemble of shrimp reveling in a spicy brown sauce, creating a festival of taste that had every fork in the room longing for an encore. The Beef Rendang, while a masterpiece of flavor and tenderness with its slow-cooked, aromatic curry, left us longing for a second act, as the disappointing portion size was more of a soliloquy than a full-fledged aria.Despite the small dining room, Golden Triangle played the perfect host to our group of six (including a baby car seat), accommodating us at their sole large table--a testament to their ability to harmonize space and service. While the Mee Goreng and Penang Char Kway Teow flavors were well balance and added depth to our culinary journey, both dishes lacked a bit of the smoky "wok hay" that I was yearning for. The Burmese Kimchi introduced a zestful twist to the meal as it was our first time trying any Burmese food, but it wasn't particularly memorable. In the end, the Roti Canai and Sambal Shrimp emerged as our favorites of the night.Overall, Golden Triangle is more than a dining destination; it's a quiet nook where flavors dance and diners are invited to a show that tantalizes the taste buds and warms the heart. With its intimate atmosphere and welcoming vibe, it stands out as a beacon for those seeking an immersive culinary experience in Center City. Here's to more explorations at this quaint culinary corner, where the world feels both vast and intimately close, all within the confines of its quiet, casual dining room.“
“This was a surprise on our 5th night in Philly. We had a group of small plates. Pork dumpling in chili oil, glazed sting beans, Indian pancakes with curry, peking duck buns, and Singapore noodles. If the food is this quality all the time, they have hit a home run. Add in the excellent drinks menu with well crafted alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and there is nothing to fault here. Would definitely come back.“
“Really really great find! We typically stick to the same Thai spot, but wanted somewhere new and this place did not disappoint! Started with the Pork Spring Rolls and they were crispy and tasted fresh! We got the Green Curry and it was insanely good. The spice was just the right amount while being so creamy. So good. Also got the Crazy Noodles with Beef and they were pretty great.I will say the ONLY negative thing was that the noodles for the Crazy Noodles dish were just a little gummy, but I really really still enjoyed it.We picked up the items today and everyone was so friendly and thankful. Felt comfortable and the inside was really nice. Can’t wait to eat here again!Thank you guys!“
“My husband and I were at the Spector center for squash and looking for a good place for dinner. We popped over to Lemon Grass and had a delicious dinner with the nicest staff. The drunken noodles were just what I needed on a cold, rainy night.I ended up leaving my purse there and they were super nice getting back to me letting me know they had it. They even let us pick it io before they opened. We will definitely be going back there!“
“Need a tasty authentic lunch before you meander through the Mutter (which has no restaurant)? The dear lady here interrupted cutting and folding her banana leaves to seat a weary traveler taking a few hours of “medical me-time.” Simple and clean, small homely place, only a few steps from the museum. My soup, followed by Tilapia were both super tasty and presentation was impeccable. Belly filled with Thai tasty treats, I took on the museum with vigor and excitement.“
“I stopped in by myself on a brutally hot summer evening looking for cold, light food. The vegetarian naam salad was over-the-top delicious. Crunchy and sweet/savory, served with crisp, fresh lettuce leaves for wrapping. Delightful on a hot night. Pad See Eew was a heavier dish, a little bland and pasty (corn starch?), and was better when I added lime and chili oil. The service was outstanding, the ambiance and air conditioning delightful. Definitely worth a visit.“
“While the dusty old interior might give you pause, this is one of the best OG Thai meals in town. Fresh, tasty, and plentiful, the food here is like being welcomed by a most hospitable Thai mom (and yes, the kitchen is run by authentic Thai chefs). Deliciously wholesome and satisfying every time (and vegetarian and vegan accommodating). Plus, the waitstaff embody that same authentic hospitality -- always warm, attentive, and gracious. This restaurant is truly a neighborhood gem.Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options, and the kitchen will accommodate vegan too :)Dietary restrictions: The kitchen can make special accommodations.“
“First time eating at Jasmine Rice. The food was excellent! Everything we ate was delicious and had great flavors. It is a lovely small restaurant that appears to be family-run. Great service and a nice atmosphere. A hidden gem that has been around for 13 years.“
“An underrated gem, we were told by a mutual friend who happens to be Cambodian, to try out this place for good Thai food in Manayunk. Got take out and we were really not that hungry so ordered just the Noodles and Thai curry. The portions were generous, wait time was short and food tasted good. It was slightly heavy on the fish sauce and that's why not great to my liking . Will definitely give them another try. Can't say much about the ambiance as it is a take out spot.“
“Blind order via Door Dash....1st try.Called to vet the spot.. I got questions!Septo picked up... he was super cool and advised me that they were closing for the day at 3pm and assured me that if I ordered they would deliver by 530 ish as they reopen at 5pm He answered my questions and we hung up. Order pre placed and I waited. Nervous as my stomach doesn't like surprises lolFood came...it was still on the warm side and I tasted.. wow I was happy.I requested my onions be chopped down finely.. and asked for sweet and sour sauce.. they missed the mark on those but food was tasty. Thai Fried Rice with Extra Chicken...no tomatoes No Broccoli. Simple like I like it.Thank you! I will visit & Order again.“
“We ordered late, at 9:30 pm , for delivery. The came fast, hot, and delicious. First, sorry for the late order, our cat went into labor earlier today and we lost track of time. Second, thank you so much for the continued excellent food and service.“
“Tom Yum soup is to die for - i love spice but anything beyond medium spice level is too intense for me. The spring rolls are great, I wish they gave you more sweet chili sauce on the side for take out orders. The man attending the takeout counter and answering the phones is so sweet and courteous.“
“Some of the best Thai food I've had in Philadelphia. This place is a hidden gem. They have new owners and a new chef, and I've been blown away. I loved the braised chicken with curry, crab fried rice, the massaman curry, fried whole fish, grilled marinated pork... everything. I've been twice in a short period. Go for the specials and the items that aren't on every American Thai restaurant menu. The owner is very nice, and the staff are happy to help you through the menu.“
“Excellent food. Fine quickly to order. Staff is friendly and willing to answer any questions. Especially request like food allergies are handled without question. Spicy level is managed well. I'm not had a bad meal here. I just wish they sold the soup and gallon drugs because it's so good.“
“Asian Thai is the only Asian place I eat from in the area. It's good clean food. It is always nicely hot and packaged neatly. Whenever I get off of the road I eat from here. It's almost like a tradition. I love the General T's o tofu, the vegetable lo mein, and the veggie spring rolls. I get off the road in 2 weeks and I can't wait to order. Their delivery range is awesome as well.“
“Best Vietnamese noodles shop in Philadelphia China town. We go every time when visit Philadelphia for many years. Food quality is consistently good. We ordered special beef noodle soup and BBQ pork chops. Other people also asked what is my order since the pork looks so good and smells so good too. They are also nice people that allow our dog in, sit under the table.“
“Causal BYO Thai place in northern liberties. Many other dining options nearby but decided to give this place a shot for restaurant week. They were understaffed so service was a bit slow but despite that, the service was good.Food is reasonably priced and the Thai ice tea was phenomenal.Ordered the Pad Thai and it was as expected for the price, 4/5. Will certainly come by again to try other entrees.Parking: There is a parking lot near by but not sure if it is paid“
“The pad thai has the perfect amount of flavorful, delicious sauce in it and the crab Rangoon is some of the flakiest, crunchest and well filled I've ever had. Very reasonably priced for the amazing quality of food and although I didn't eat inside, I stopped to pick up my food and it is super cute in there!Vegetarian options: Tofu was perfectly cooked“
“Very delicious food at very reasonable prices! My first time here I got the chicken pad thai and it was delicious - light and not too greasy but very filling, the noodles had a good flavor and the chicken was very flavorful as well. Make sure to squeeze the lemon on top as well!Second time I came here I got a noodle dish as well which was good! I think I would recommend the pad thai more.Very low key, more of a casual lunch spot or a informal dinner with friends. Worth a visit though.“
“Found this place using Google Maps. Glad I did. The BBQ ribs were yummy and the Tom Yum Soup with seafood was soooooo good! Food came quickly and was hot!Parking: If you are staying less than hour I think tye garage parking is free, but if you dine in tye restaurant you can just pay with your bill $5.“
“This is another one of my favorites.Actually, I think you could travel the country, the world only to find out that for some reason, this is the #1 best Hainan chicken and rice. Something about Philly, ya'know?Order the chicken and rice, it's in the name. Fried, boiled or mixed. I mean, it's the best“
“Finally found a Thai restaurant nearest to me . While I don’t find the food authentic I do find it delicious. They charge extra for everything so it easy to run up your bill. While I like small portions, you may have to order an appetizer or extra meat to be fully. I started out ordering pick before dinning inn. Pick up time is accurate and food was hot. My dine in experience was great, nice small intimate dinning space. Staff were attentive and our food was hot when it arrived to our table. This is vegetarian paradise! Most meals have the option to have meat added. This is now my daughter’s favorite restaurant.“
“(Translated by Google) Very good! The place is cozy and the staff is very friendly. Food is delicious. I love that you also have a lot of food for a good price. “Excellent green curry, lots of veggies and properly spicy. Noodles and soup also delicious. Small place and quick service. We were craving Thai and this hit the spot! Don’t know why some reviews say raw veggies, if they are soggy and overcooked they’re pointless with all the nutrients gone.“
“Excellent food, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere. I’ll be coming back soon!Vegetarian options: Each dish had a vegetable option, and it was fresh and varied. I’d never had Tom yum soup with vegetables before, but it was delicious!“
“I ordered the Philly roll, salmon roll, and tuna roll. Portions of fish in the rolls were decent. Some a little better than others. The Chinese pizza/scallion pancake is tasty but on the crunchier side. The miso soup was good but mostly broth, not a lot of tofu. Would order again.“
“I had the tamarind duck from here and personally the sauce was a little too sweet for me, even though I asked for it to be extra spicy. The duck itself was delicious, very crispy and tender. No bones either, which was great. The other folks at my table loved their food (curries and pad Thai) The mango sticky rice was solid. I wish the mangos were riper and a tad more sauce. Really good Thai iced coffee. One thing to note was the service. They were very attentive on refilling glasses of water and they even took my jacket for me. Love the staff“
