Evil Genius Beer Company Brewery • $$
1727 N Front St, Philadelphia

“My friends and I went here for Wednesday night quizzo and it was really fun! The place is a nice size, lots of seating. I don't normally like beer but get fomo when at brewery's, so I tried the "I pick things up and put them down" (and got a small size) and I finished it, which I normally never do so that's a good sign. I thought the place was kind of warm, but maybe that's just me lol. the appetizers weren't that bad, we tried the hummus and the Buffalo chicken dip, but for the price I expected a little more. It's definitely just quick bar food. My friends enjoyed their Cuban sandwich though. Would definitely go back for quizzo!“

“Tucked away within Downtown Manayunk is the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS) Pop-up Garden. There was a Dried Flower Wreath making class that I attended and when I arrived, everything was set up nicely. There are QR Codes on the tables through Toast Take out system. I ordered a drink while I waited for the event to take place. After 10 minutes I ordered fried cheese curd with cherry pepper aioli. This code just places everything on a tab. So cool! The event took place for 1.5 hours and at the end it was a fun night. The environment is so cool with a repurposed warehouse and a beautiful beer garden with lovely greenery everywhere. It's my thing!!After the event I ordered the Jamestown burger with cheese and bacon and their fun Sidewinder fries. Nom nom. That was a delicious, juicy burger with a fresh potato roll. The Negroni and The High Tide, with elijah craig bourbon, green tea syrup, fever tree lemon tonic. Make sure you get that.“

“Perfect spot to grab a couple beers from their huge selection of cans or draft lines and take in patio season. Tucked into the neighborhood so great spot to walk over to to start the night, weekend, etc off. Would be a fun place to watch games too as they have a good amount of TVs setup as well. Added bonus, it’s dog central so whether you bring your own or just love dogs, this is the spot for you.“

Franklin Square Beer Garden Beer Gardens • $$

“A nice little park on the outskirts of Old City. I went to the Chinese Lantern Festival with a photography group. It was fantastic! The lanterns are amazingly detailed. Lots of animals, dragons, arches to walk through and selfie spots of course. It was a lot of fun exploring the exhibits. They're set up throughout the park and around the water fountain. Bathrooms are available. They could probably use a few more. Benches and some seating is also around the park. Square Burger had reasonably priced food that was also tasty. My friend liked the bbq rib bites. The ice cream was a good size, tasted delicious and was only $3.50! It was a fun night!“

“Overall definitely book again. The waitress I had wasn't too attentive and it did take us over an hour to receive our food. There wasn't too many people in the restaurant at the time for a brunch on Sunday . I definitely would go back again because I enjoyed their espresso martini tap, which was amazing and they expressed that they changed their menus quite regularly, so I would love to experience some thing different with the different flavor or taste“

“We are in town from Minnesota for a friend's wedding the the Old City Beer Garden happened to be about a block away from our AirBnB. Our first bartender Kelsey was absolutely freaking amazing! I have literally never had service as good as she provided. When she left after her shift, JuJu was out new bartender and was pretty damn great as well! I will be in Philly again and this will be the only place I go to for some fun and some drinks. Thank you so very much Kelsey, we can't wait to hang out with you again!!!“

“It’s nothing fancy but the happy hour drinks are cheap and it’s a real nice laid back place to drab some food and drink. If you can catch one of the specials like 2 for $20 pizza Tuesdays or the eagles drink deals it’s even better. Also all of the food I have tried is really pretty darn good.“
