“Bao Nine is such a cute place to eat at. Thankfully, the food matches the atmosphere! The food is fresh, light, and delicious. The prices are great and the combo options make it easy to try a little of everything. I enjoyed my first time at Bao Nine and will surely be going back whenever I'm in the neighborhood.“

“It’s my fav spot in center city for date night especially. It’s a chic, upscale vibe. A bit cozy but intimate seating. I have been fan of the food. Haven’t been there in a while, but it still the best spot. Fav dishes are dandan noodles, scallion pancakes, cumin fried dish(beef or chicken). This time tried double roast beans chicken , pepper fried fish, sichuan clay pot. Everything was amazing. The food comes in good quantity so we could eat family style. Or at the least share by two if you are stuffed with appetizers.“

“This phenomenal chef was a guest chef at the Philadelphia museum over the past weekend. The food was so good that he was selling out of a lot of stuff quickly !! I was amazed at how many people were rushing to try the food!! So I had to wait in a bit of a line to get mines but it was well worth it. Also, he was quick and efficient and even with the way he had to rush the food was still put together beautifully. I ordered 3 Magnolia bao buns which came out to approximately $16 . It had an amazing soy honey glaze, spicy shallot and cilantro. The spice was just enough to give it an edge without being overpowering. The meat was perfectly juicy and tender and he was very generous with the amount of meat he placed inside!! From other people who ordered I was told the wings and the sweet cinnamon buns were a bit. I'll definitely be finding my way to the restaurant in the future. So happy with this experience!! Bao buns with Magnolia beef : 10/10!!!!!!“

“Service was excellent. I decided to try some cooked food as I have had a lot of sushi lately. Hamachi Kama- reasonably priced and excellent. Cooked to perfection and nice dipping sauce. Cooked mackerel also tasty although I wish it would have come with its own sauce (I used the hamachi kama sauce left over which went well with it). Looking forward to trying the grilled oysters and clams but decided to wait until a happy hour when they are considerably reduced in price. Also looking forward to trying some other items on the menu.“

“I got the taro milk tea and the popcorn chicken. The taro milk tea tasted like the powdered taro you would get at most bubble tea places. The popcorn chicken was delicious and I highly recommend it!The cafe is cute and themed after the owner's dog, but it is a bit small and there are only a few seats available.“

“Love this place! All the food came out fairly quick, everything was flavorful and hot. They have a killer happy hour menu which we took full advantage of. Service was great and friendly. The place is super clean nicely decorated with a window to see the chef make the dumplings by hand. Highly recommend this place and I will definitely Be back. One thing I didn't like is that they advertised one free cocktails on instagram until the end of April when I mentioned it to the waiter he didn't know what I was talking about so we didn't get our free cocktail.“

“This establishment offers three main category of Chinese cuisines: Dim Sum, Noodles, and Traditional entrees. So if you can't decide, try all three! Although their menu is not as diversified as other dim sum places in Chinatown, all the dishes that we've ordered were quite tasty.Service was quick, as we waited just a few minutes before dishes were being served. Portions were generous as well. Be aware that some of the photos on their menu/signs did not match the actual entrees served. So if you have a dish that you really wanted to try out, make sure you get a confirmation with the staff on what it is you've actually ordered. This place do take credit cards as well as cash. But on credit cards, they have a minimum of $ 25 order. So make sure you have cash if you stop by for a quick bite.“
