We ordered a second dish of the carrots, and also the cukes. Dessert was outstanding. Interesting wines, including a chilled Croatian wine that paired well with every dish. Definitely returning. “This is our first time to Philadelphia and we are big Stallone/Rocky fans so we were excited to try this restaurant where some of Rocky Balboa and Creed was filmed. “my fiance and I were in Philly (from Maine) and she treated me to Osteria for my birthday dinner. The service was amazing throughout the meal, I wish I got the servers name as he was really an incredibly friendly young man who clearly knew the menu very well. The atmosphere is wonderful and the interior is just lovely. In terms of the food, I had the wild boar bolognese which was a special that night, and it was AMAZING!! Really, all the food was impeccable, from the focaccia to our mains. Super pleased and the next time I’m in town, I will most definitely be coming back!!“

“This was our first time dining at Little Water. The menu is very limited with only 3 entrees, one of which is very pricey. My husband had the Wednesday special- fried chicken, which was a very generous portion and seemed to be very popular. We started with the sourdough bread, which was top notch. I had the halibut, which was delicious. We would definitely return but not consistently given the limited menu.“

“Really cute charming space close to everything. Walked here from rittenhouse in a few minutes to catch a negroni on top and some amazing wine. Simple clean selection of incredible spirits especially this super rare Norden Aquavit seasonal! We shared a charcuterie board and something else I can remember but everything was excellent perfect place to start or end the night for us. I think there was an upstairs with more seating and even some two tops outside. Caught a really great sunset while we finished some wine and snacks before venturing out. I think the negroni was on tap and it was delicious.“

“Love Fishtown Social! I always look forward to Mystery Wine Mondays, where you can get $10 glasses of wine and get to guess what kind of wine it is. If you win, you get the bottle! I've really come to look forward to Mondays now, which is hard for anyone to say. “Wow! I'm so glad I decided to celebrate my birthday at Meetinghouse. It was such a wonderful experience, and I can't wait to come back. There's nothing but amazing things to say about this place! You can tell the staff care so much about every little detail.

Stepping into Meetinghouse's dining area gives you a nostalgic, homey feel. We were immediately greeted, given menus to enjoy the bar and waited around 5-7 minutes for our seat. The bar was bustling on Saturday so it was a little tough to get a drink before sitting but no worries because we knew exactly what we wanted.

The Guinness, some argue that this may be the best pour in the city but between Meetinghouse and Poison Heart. I really can't decide but order the Guinness and if you're feeling a little frisky get the Negroni - that was great too! They also have their own beer which we had and even got to bring a 6-pack home.

My review is about to be real long.

-We ordered the Green Salad (with a Dijon vinaigrette dressing) very fresh and crispy greens! 10 out of 10
-Baked Clams 10 out of 10
-Roasted Oyster Mushrooms in Broth 10 out of 10

And since we were there on a Saturday, we indulged in their Daily Specials: the Steak Frittes (great cut of ribeye smothered in this very tasty sauce and crispy fries. I cant wait to come back!!“

“Truly a 10/10 experience from start to finish.

This was our first visit after hearing so many great things, and we left feeling like family. Our server, Grant, was fantastic, super attentive, incredibly helpful, and genuinely kind. The rest of the staff made us feel just as welcome. We were originally seated inside but asked if it would be possible to move outside, and they happily accommodated us without hesitation.

Since it was our first time, we had no idea what to order. We basically rallied the staff and bombarded them with questions, and everyone was more than happy to help. We ended up trusting their recommendations, and they absolutely nailed it. We ordered the sausage & fennel pizza, the mushroom white pizza, the kale Caesar, the focaccia, and the ricotta dip. Every single thing blew us away.

The pacing of the meal was perfect. Everything came out at just the right time, so the table never felt cluttered. We definitely ordered with our eyes, but we weren’t complaining because the leftovers were just as exciting to take home.

The focaccia deserves a special mention. You can tell the bread program is something they take a lot of pride in. Their dough is absolutely dialed in. As someone who loves wood-fired pizza, it’s always a treat to get a pie that’s still sturdy and not floppy,
a difficult thing to pull off when you’re cooking pizzas in under three minutes at around 800 degrees.

One of the highlights of the night was when the chef let us try a new dish he was working on; a tomato salad with caramelized breadcrumbs. It was absolutely mind-blowing and fit seamlessly with the rest of the menu. I think it’s easy for new chefs to come in wanting to make a statement or put too much of their own ego into every dish. This wasn’t that at all. It was thoughtful, humble, and incredibly well-executed. It complemented what was already a fantastic menu instead of trying to overshadow it. You can tell there’s a real sense of collaboration in the kitchen, and it’s exciting to see that kind of synergy. They already had something special, and it feels like great things are still to come.

Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and the portion sizes were perfect for me and my date.

A huge thank you to Danny, Grant and Garrett, who were absolute sweethearts, along with the rest of the team for making our first visit so memorable. The food was outstanding, the service was exceptional, and the hospitality made all the difference.

“Highlely recommend...Food was fantastic, service was dialed in, and atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. The star of the appetizer round (ciccheti) was the dragon tongue bean and honey nut squash, sauteed on a grill top with simple seasoning that showcased the fresh ingredients. For pasta we loved the stuffed farfale - basically italian roast pork with rabe and provolone in a well executed homemade sachet of goodness executed to perfection, decadent but not overpowering. We also had the lamb tagliatelle ragu, also excellent but tough to follow the farfale. Service was friendly, attentive and relaxed how we like it. Note... wines are Pennsylvania sourced from Wayvine, which we were not familiar with but were good not great. Especially enjoyed the dry reisling with the appetizer and farfale followed by the carmine (earthy) with the ragu pasta. We'll be back for sure...“

“This was me and my fiances first time at City Winery. We were greeted by the Hostess Susan who was very informative of upcoming promotions and she even offered a tour of the establishment. The wait was not long as we were seated pretty quickly. The service was phenomenal the server Cel was welcoming and had me and my fiancé laughing and enjoying ourselves from the moment we were seated. Cel made several suggestions on food as well as drinks. During the visit we learned that Cel is a bartender as well and invited us to come back which we will. The Braised Short Rib was flavorful and was a rather large portion. My fiancé had the Branzino he loved it and was ready to order one to go. Will recommend this place to all of our friends and family. We will be back for the Vivian Green show in May.“

From the moment we arrived, their team impressed us with a beautifully set table, custom-printed menus (even reflecting last-minute adjustments made earlier that day), and warm, attentive service throughout. Their team was more than willing to work with us to coordinate the details of the visit and were truly wonderful to collaborate with. Our guests were blown away not just by the food and wine, but by the history and ambiance of the space. Learning about Panorama’s world-record wine collection added such a memorable touch to the experience. It seems like every nook and cranny of Philadelphia is stunning and this place didn’t fall short of the agenda. I just stopped in for a little drink which happened to be a refreshing sangria and a minute to rest my feet. The outdoor area was just as nice as indoor. The food cooking out on the black stone smelled amazing I wish I had ordered, they had ice cold water to accommodate everyone and some umbrellas at tables.“

“5 Stars!!! Most authentic Napoletana Pizza found this side of the pond! The starter dough was brought over from Naples,IT. The oven from Italy. If you’re in Philly, you must go and taste for yourself. I lived in Naples, Italy for over 5 years…Chefs Joe & Angela nailed it again. Oh and if you haven’t tried their restaurant, Cicala, is right across the hall in the historic divine Lorraine hotel. 5 stars!!!“

“We decided to drop into this East Falls restaurant for Sunday brunch, and we're so glad we did. My husband ordered the heuves chorizo and I ordered the Cresta Omelet. Both were delicious!! My husband also asked for poblano pepper in his, and they accommodated his request. The restaurant is warm and inviting with exposed brick. Prices are very reasonable and the servings were generous. Management was super welcoming, and our server, Anna, was awesome. We will definitely be back!!“

“I very rarely leave anything other than 5 star reviews. I'm leaving this one because I hope to see the place succeed and refine a bit as everywhere has room to do. These are just my opinions.

Pros: Roast pork was 🔥, bartender was very nice and engaging, music was on point (Elliot Smith and Nick Drake 👌), the bar has a classic look, and the prices are very reasonable.

Cons: Good amount of flies, bar top could've used a wipe down, a server should probably have sleeves, fries were poor, and there is almost no personal touch to the decor. It looks well painted and the fixtures are nice but it feels very generic and I prefer a little more personality in a bar/restaurant, especially one I'd like to go to regularly.“
