“Irwin’s has some of the best cocktails I’ve had in years and an inventive menu that kept my eyes wide. To boot, the restaurant itself is an aesthetic masterpiece and atmospherically unbeatable. The perfect spot for splurging with friends or getting mommy and daddy to front the bill. I will say the pasta was curiously not as good as the mains and mezze, which you wouldn’t necessarily want of an Italian spot, but maybe that’s just because the latter two were so spectacular. I’ll be back.“

“I’ve been to Fishtown Social many times and every experience has been great. Every wine/cocktail I’ve ordered has been very enjoyable. The whites and oranges are among the best I’ve ever had. I know I can try a few different wines here that I wouldn’t normally drink because the menu is always strong.

The service has always been friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I was just here last night catching up with some friends. Even though it was last call and close to closing, the servers were very patient and accommodating. In the past, they’ve also helped me choose from their bottle shop selection in the back.

It also has a great atmosphere - candles, a beautiful bar, and outdoor seating. Stopping by here is always a treat!“

“First, here’s how you get to Ninja Bao. Take the Septa escalator located on the corner of 15th and Market. It’s on 15th about 100ft north of Market. Follow the sign towards the Septa sales office and go past the post office and Ninja Bao is on the right. It’s outside the turnstiles so you don’t have to pay or anything coming in off the street. Second, order some Bao buns and the scallion pancake beef wrap. They are amazing. I always thought someone should make an Asian style burrito and Ninja did it and better yet used a scallion pancake instead of a flavorless flour tortilla. The people were extremely friendly and the place was very clean. Don’t be bothered by having lunch underground, it’s a must stop!“

“Had a reservation for two. Upon arrival inside, there's no clear host station, so it's unclear who you're supposed to speak to to be seated. We stood right inside the door for about 5 minutes before we were greeted, despite there not being a line. Our server was very personable and knowledgeable about the menu items. The skin contact wine and wine spritzers were incredible. As for the food, the fluke crudo was fresh and delicious. Over the past few times we've visited Sally, we've noticed that the pizza crust has been a bit burnt. This time, we were disappointed that the pizza crust was completely burnt.“

“Staff were excellent, cannot state that enough. The food was fairly average and what I’d expect at a hotel bar and restaurant. The bar doesn’t open until noon, and on both days I had breakfast here I witnessed multiple sad customers who couldn’t get their morning mimosas, but it is what it is! I’d probably only eat here if I were staying at the connected hotel, the Notary.

Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome; it’s in a hotel

Wheelchair accessibility: First floor of the hotel, very easy access“

“Did my birthday dinner here for a party of 8. The atmosphere was great and lively. Music was great and a vibe. The food was average for me, however I did enjoy their scallops and salmon the most, as well as their cocktails. Only my pasta needed a bit more seasoning. Our servers were also nice and respectful.

I gave 4 stars because there were a few things missed that our table asked for. We asked for hookah mint and never got it so we made sure that they didn’t charge us at the end. Also asked for refills on water and never got it. Not sure if it’s because it started to get a little busier. Lastly deducted one star because there is literally only 1 bathroom and my friend and I decided to hurry up and use it together (to save time) and we were in there less than 3 mins and a worker or employee started banging on the door so much rushing. Left a bad taste in my mouth. Not sure what you expect if you only have 1 restroom for everyone to use in the dining area. Other than that, I didn’t let that ruin my night and still enjoyed it with my friends.“

“Very cool wine bar / restaurant that might get lost in the crowd. My wife and I live in East Falls and don’t go into Manayunk often and were looking for something a little more upscale and Jake’s was it.
We sat at the bar and Carey our bartender was extremely knowledgeable. I had a Manhattan with a new Rye the bar had and we discussed various pairings of Spirits and Vermouth. My wife had a Mango Whiskey Sour which she said was very good.
The atmosphere was low key and easy going. Nice Oak or Maple bar, large open windows to the sidewalk, several high tops for seating.
We had the Octopus appetizer which was very good. Maybe could have been a bit more tender but it varies from day to day anyway. I can tell it was better than the Greek restaurant across the street.
Special shout out to Carey she really went out of her way to make sure we had a good experience both from a cocktail experience as well as a food experience.
Highly recommended“

1643 Burger

“Instead of paying for a round trip Uber we decided to eat at the 1643 lounge at the Delta Hotel. The omelette we ordered was huge, but a bit overcooked, and the breakfast potatoes were really not that fresh (maybe sitting under the warmer too long). However, it did fill us until later in the day. I would suggest not cooking the omelette so long. I assumed that cheese came on the omelette, and if it was there, I couldn’t find it. I would try this place again, if ever in the area. We loved the atmosphere of this place and our server was accommodating.“
