“Our first experience at a James Beard award winning restaurant (2017) and chef was incredible at Vernick Fish in Philadelphia to celebrate Trent’s graduation! I know now what this caliber of food and service means and all other restaurants pale in comparison to Vernick Fish and Greg Vernick(semi-finalist chef 2025). From the appetizers (dozen oysters from RI, MA, ME, PEI) to the drinks and main course were all uniquely exquisite and cannot be replicated anywhere else. The constant doting with new silverware at each course and cleaning of the table was undeniably royalty treatment. Even the bathroom was an experience-I need the hand lotion in my life (instantly made my hands look 30 years younger). The portions, ambiance and service were all equally perfect! I highly recommend you check out Vernick Fish. We will definitely return!“

“I was skeptical because I absolutely love eating meat. Meat and bbq is a huge part of my life. That being said dinner Saturday night was unbelievably fantastic. I absolutely loved everything that we ordered. Moms meatballs were my favorite dish. I’m still trying to wrap my head around the fact that they are vegan. The cocktails were also delicious and strong. A++++ for this restaurant!“

“We came for bunch for the first time and it was absolutely delicious. The crab Benedict was amazing, the sangria pancakes were fluffy and perfect! My daughter absolutely love everything! Served super friends, and staff quick to clear dirty dishes. We will definitely be returning!!“

“The perfect spot for anyone who loves thin-crust pizza. We had the Margherita pizza and it was absolutely delicious, along with a Caesar salad and a glass of Syrah to pair with it. The service was great too our waiter was super attentive and kind. The vibe is really nice, whether you’re on a date or out with friends. Would definitely come back and highly recommend it!“

“Just visiting Philly for the weekend and stopped by to try this place, as it was on my way to the subway. Had the vegetable bao and it was AMAZING! I don’t know how or why it was so good but it was and I felt compelled to leave a review. We were the only ones in there and it took a few minutes for them to make the bao but it was totally worth it!“

Service was great! Lydia was our server and she was awesome! Explained the menu well and gave great recommendations! I even got a little birthday card from the chef which was a really sweet touch

Food was overall pretty good. We tried 3 different pastas and enjoyed the bucatini the best! The gelato was soo good and drinks were great as well!

“Fun little neighborhood hideaway spot that features a good number of options for drinks alongside plenty of food options.

There are a good number of drafts that rotate fairly frequently, alongside some fun cocktail choices. The food menu isn't big, but have a good number of appetizers and sandwich options and they were all satisfactory during my multiple visits. Staff are friendly and helpful and are usually attentive of everything.“

“Love Fishtown Social! I always look forward to Mystery Wine Mondays, where you can get $10 glasses of wine and get to guess what kind of wine it is. If you win, you get the bottle! I've really come to look forward to Mondays now, which is hard for anyone to say. Their selection is great, and their entire staff is super knowledgeable and kind :) def check it out if you're a wine lover and in the area!“

“We enjoyed everything we ordered - the wings definitely exceeded expectations. But the shining star here is Shawnatt. We got an epic letdown (understatement) from American: 5 hour departure delay on our incoming and they wouldn't hold the Philly flight 5 minutes for us - my sister was in critical condition in Oregon. Needless to say, it was late, we were emotionally crushed, and just needed a bite (and drink!) before bed. We ended up spending hours with Shawnatt. She's super sweet, and is the only reason we could take a deep breath and say it is what it is, and move on with some sanity. Thank you - needed and greatly appreciated!“

“I was staying at the Marriott residence inn right next door…didn’t want to walk too far…nice place, the bar is booming and busy…I opted for a salad, brownie and the ice cream and a cappuccino …we made some modifications and it tasted great…service is prompt and overall experience was very great…I went for a walk afterwards, since I had the brownie…lol“
