About Ninja Bao

Ninja Bao is a hidden gem in the subway tunnels of Philadelphia, offering a delightful array of Asian-inspired dishes. The beef scallion pancake, reminiscent of pho flavors, and the vegetable gyoza, described as the best ever, are customer favorites. The philly cheesesteak bun and cheesesteak gyoza also receive high praise for their exceptional taste and texture. Vegan and vegetarian options, such as the matcha bun and grandma tofu, are also available and highly recommended.

Customers praise the restaurant's pan-fried soup dumplings, ramen, and roast pork buns. The food is described as delicious, and the staff is noted for their excellent service. The Tonkatsu ramen is reasonably priced, and the owners often provide complimentary dishes, such as cheesesteak Bao Buns and scallion pancakes. The restaurant is compared to a small ramen shop in Japan, making it a must-visit and a staple in the suburban station.

Customers also enjoy the wonton soup, scallion pancakes, Japanese egg fried rice with chicken katshu, pork belly buns, and crispy chicken potstickers, which are described as fresh and delicious.

This is a long-standing hidden gem tucked away in the underground walkway of 2 Penn Center. Incredible delicious food is always worth seeking out. The soup buns and pan-fried dumplings are bursting with juicy fillings—my whole family absolutely loved them, we were blown away!
Excellent chicken Katshu buns!
This is in the metro station so you’re not gonna go for the atmosphere, though once you’re inside it’s cute and clean. Food was extremely good and fresh. Service above and beyond! Bao Button is their above ground location, which I’ll be sure to visit!
