Pietramala Reviews
Wonderful vegan food in a cool spot with great atmosphere. A little pricey - although vegan food tends to be pricey as it requires more work to make it sparkle.
The unique menu, the delicious, innovative food, and outstanding, gracious service are the reasons that we can't wait to go back.
Pietramala is a superb restaurant that provides outstanding service and incredibly delicious, creative plant=based food. Everything is locally sourced that can be, including regional wines we had never tried before. Served family style, our group of 4 got to try many of their dishes, each of which was well executed and beautifully presented. We make it a pint to eat at excellent plant-based restaurants around the US and Canada. This place ranks right at the top.

Pietramala offers a delightful dining experience with thoughtful and inventive dishes, presented with lovely flavors and textures. The menu showcases a seasonal plant-forward selection, featuring vegetarian and vegan options that include standouts like Tortelloni, Parsnip, and Smoked Potato plates, Blistered Carrots, and fresh house-made tofu. Recent visitors have particularly enjoyed the beet salad, heirloom tomato salad, and sungold tomato pappardelle, noting the quality of ingredients and the addition of fermented items. The attentive and kind staff provide fantastic service, ensuring a memorable evening. Reviewers describe the dining experience as "elevated vegan dining that puts plants on a pedestal," with many praising the delicious, fresh, and inspiring food prepared with creative techniques. The oyster mushrooms are out of this world, and customers highlight the amazing vibes and good service. While the focaccia received mixed reviews, the pasta is often described as "to die for." With really good local ingredients, Pietramala is a highly recommended destination for a special night out and is considered by some to be the best restaurant in Philadelphia.
