Sakana Omakase Sushi Reviews
What is the specialty of this sushi restaurant?
Wonderful time at Sakana this weekend! Their sushi is unparalleled in Philly and the service is impeccable.
The best sashimi and I have ever had. Stopped in here 3 years ago by chance -- looking for food before a concert at Gloria Dei Old Swedes Episcopal Church. I was able to get a few things, not a set menu. They did not put soy sauce or anything on the bar or tables -- they said they were preparing it just as it should be prepared. And it was so!
Looking forward to coming back.

Sakana Omakase Sushi offers exceptional sushi in a quiet and intimate atmosphere with friendly service. The restaurant is generously priced and BYOB, making it a popular choice for many. They also accommodate dietary restrictions, such as gluten-free, without compromising the quality of the experience. Customers praise the consistently high-quality seafood, including the bluefin tuna, mackerel, and uni bowl, as well as the ever-improving menu that features unique flavors like egg yolk topping, uni paste, and charcoal. The chef is pleased to guide guests through each of the 19 courses, which are all excellent. The pacing is great, and the wait staff immediately takes customers' bottles and chills them on ice, pouring for them throughout the dinner. The rice is perfectly seasoned and cooked, elevating the flavor of the fish to another level. The atmosphere is very quiet and cozy, making for a very comfortable experience. Overall, Sakana is highly recommended for anyone who loves omakase or sushi in general, offering a top-tier experience at a reasonable price.
