About Laurel Restaurant

Laurel Restaurant offers a refined dining experience with a beautiful ambiance and attentive service. The seasonal, thoughtful, and delicious Chef's menu features creative and intriguing dishes, while the a la carte options and wine selection provide a satisfying experience. Vegetarian options are available, and the scallops and wagyu are highlights of the tasting menu. Recent reviews indicate that the food is delicious, with notable dishes like sourdough with onion butter, oysters, and a memorable trout with peppers and crème fraiche. However, some diners have noted that the portions are small and not filling, leading to a feeling of hunger after the meal, especially for the price. The menu is meant to be shared, with suggestions to order multiple plates. The atmosphere is charming, with cute touches like an alien-themed bathroom. Overall, the experience is enjoyable, with a blend of great flavors and attentive service, though diners should be aware that the cost can add up quickly.

We went with the tasting menu instead of a la carte and found the dishes good, but not anything particularly special. They were very accommodating with an allergy which was very nice. I'd like to try the bar menu but probably don't need another dining room experience.

A slight letdown at laurel. We have never been to the previous iteration but we were expecting a yummy and exciting meal. The winners: sourdough with onion butter, mushroom with caviar and koji (really the caviar was undetectable other than saltiness, just skip it and make it more affordable or use a cheaper textural element like flying fish roe), and the fluke crudo (fish+citrus+texture element is always a win), oysters. The slight misses were the steak (the leek didn't add that...read full review

Fun experience! Came with 3 friends and we ordered almost one of everything on the menu. Food comes out so fast and everything is pretty tasty. Favorites were the quail, oysters (little spicy) and the bread and butter
