Ristorante Pesto offers great food in the quintessential South Philly Italian restaurant style. The servers are fantastic and attentive. However, the dining room can be noisy. The chicken parm doesn't come with a side of pasta by default, which could be communicated better. Regulars love the family-owned feel, with top recommendations being the Cavatelli pasta and the veal mare e monti. The ricotta cheesecake is a must-try dessert that will keep you coming back for more.
