“I live in South Philly and didn't even know this place existed. A friend told me about it and said it was good so I ordered from GrubHub and mannnn it did NOT disappoint! So much goodness in flavor and portion size. I tried the beef todero and tequeños and both were 10/10. I can't wait to try their arepas! My grandfather immigrated to Venezuela before coming to the US and used to make us some and haven't had any since. Looking forward to trying more.“

The empanadas and the tostones that I ordered were both excellent in flavor and texture. This is absolutely worth stopping at no matter what your dietary needs (or lack of needs) may look like.“

“Oh. My. GOSH. This place is hands down one of the best restaurants we’ve been to. I’m originally from California and absolutely love good food, so we’re always searching for places with memorable flavor — and this spot completely exceeded every expectation. It was our first time trying Venezuelan food, and now I’m convinced this is going to be impossible to top.

We ordered the cachapas with chicken and cheese and WOW. The cachapa itself was warm, buttery, and slightly sweet like fresh corn, while the savory beef and gooey salty cheese melted together perfectly. Every bite was rich, comforting, and packed with flavor. It’s the kind of food that makes you stop talking for a second because you’re too busy enjoying it.

The second time we came back, we added the tequeños with guava and cheese. Absolutely unreal. Crispy on the outside, soft and melty on the inside, with that sweet guava balancing the salty cheese perfectly. We dipped them in chimichurri at first not knowing if the flavors would even work together… and somehow it elevated everything. Bright, garlicky, fresh, savory — every flavor layered beautifully together.

Even though it’s currently carryout and delivery only, the owners make the experience feel so warm and welcoming. It’s a husband-and-wife duo, and the wife told us she makes everything with love — and honestly, you can taste it in every single bite.

This is officially our new local comfort spot, and we already can’t wait to go back.“
