I had never had Venezuelan food before but I took a gamble and ordered from here for dinner with my family (10ppl total) on Sunday. I am back on Friday after ordering again because it was so good I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Autana offers incredibly flavorful, delicious, satisfying, and authentic Venezuelan cuisine. It is a most welcome addition to the neighborhood, providing authentic Venezuelan food that is also delicious.
The food is rich, comforting, and packed with flavor, making every bite enjoyable. Specific dishes like the cachapas with chicken and cheese are highlighted for their warm, buttery, and slightly sweet corn, complemented by savory beef and gooey salty cheese. The tequeños with guava and cheese are noted as unreal, crispy on the outside, soft and melty on the inside, with sweet guava balancing salty cheese perfectly. These can be elevated with chimichurri, described as bright, garlicky, fresh, and savory.
Autana is currently offering carry out and delivery only, but the owners make the experience feel warm and welcoming, with a husband-and-wife duo putting love into everything they make. The tres leches is also highly praised, tasting even better than it looks and being a reason to eat the whole thing. Vegetarian and Celiac-friendly gluten-free options like the domino and cheese empanadas are available. Autana is considered a local comfort spot and the best place to enjoy Venezuelan food, with exceptional service and a happy, fun mood. They also participate in local farmer's markets and events, with the owners putting love into their food and welcoming guests. Passion fruit juice and tequeños with guava are also highly recommended.
