Being from Beaufort, SC I know all about Alvin Ord's so it was a pleasant surprise to have one so close to my apartment while I lived in Charleston.The sandwiches, always made to order, are fresh and flavorful every time. Their wheat bread is some of my favorite and pairs well on any sandwich on the menu.The staff is very friendly and super efficient. If you're not sitting in, consider calling ahead and I guarantee your order will be ready when you get there.“

“Today is cheat day! Trust me, it's hard to be a healthy and clean eating girl in Charleston. We have such incredible food! Finished my work out and stopped by Charley Philly Steaks for some comfort food and it hit the mark! I ordered the every day special. This is a chicken cheese steak with fries for $7.49. The cheese steak had grilled chicken, cheese, green peppers, onion, banana peppers, lettuce and mayo grilled together on a delicious toasted roll. It was a nice sized sandwich and when you take that first heavenly bite...juicy, cheesy goodness!!! The fries are cooked in peanut oil and are crispy, but not greasy. Put some malted vinegar with a dash of salt and they are the perfect compliment. This location is in the Citadel Mall food court. It is always very busy. It is the favorite as I look around to the other restaurants. The service is efficient and I received my order quickly. The staff is not super friendly. I think it's because they are super busy. That wasn't important to me because they were focused and got my order right and served hot, delicious food. I will be back again. They have the traditional Philly cheese steak sandwiches, parmasean peppercorn cheese steak, Bacon and cheese cheese steak, bufalo cheese steak, kids meals and a variety of soft drinks and flavored juices. You are certain to find something that tickles your tastebuds!“

“There isn't a better place to eat a philly in Charleston. the food is plentiful, fresh and priced right. the service is always excellent. the team at this Charleys is rock solid. they never disappoint! do yourself a favor and just sit right down at the food court tables and eat the hot, fresh delicious sandwich. “I ordered the basic small Cheesesteak and loaded fries through Uber Eats. I was skeptical based on the terrible reviews here but I was pleasantly surprised once my order delivered. Our food was presented well in the packaging. The sandwich was full of meat, cheese and roasted peppers. The loaded fries were tasty. Was it memorable? No. Would I order again? Probably not. Was it edible? Yes. It was quick food that we needed in a crunch on a Saturday night so hence the 4 star rating.“

“I elected to try the chicken Philly with Kentucky Bourbon and it was definitely delicious. I didn't want all that extra ( lettuce, tomatoes, mayo). The portion was just right for me. The staff was patient with my extraordinary order. The service was fast, the food was great and I would highly recommend trying this out. This was my first visit but not my last.“
