Lots of vegetarian options. Great coffee as well.Update: my wife and I stayed in Charleston for a week and after we discovered Harken on the 2nd day, we were there every day.Everything we had was delicious: quiche, tumeric loaf bread (be sure to get the tumeric whip, it is amazing), spiced vanilla scone, 7 layer bar, green goddess pasta salad and the broccoli peppadew salad.They also have an outdoor seating area so we were able to being our pup with us!
We visited here for a quick coffee and cake in the afternoon and loved it so much we came back for lunch. Harken is a casual cafe with healthy options for lunch and breakfast. In my two times visit here I’ve noticed they use fresh ingredients and keep a very high standard for what they serve. There’s space in the back to sit and enjoy your tasty food. This is a must go to in Charleston. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting and there is a fabulous covered porch on the side we loved. The staff is super friendly and the food is incredible. My husband said they made the best cup of coffee he has ever had. And they are super vegetarian friendly as well!Make sure you try the turmeric pound cake and have it warmed up!
