I had very high expectations for The Peninsula Grill and they met or exceeded all of them. Our server was friendly and attentive without bring cloying. The steaks were cooked to a perfect rare plus. The asparagus with bearnaise sauce was very tasty and the goat cheese smashed potatoes were delicious. Topped the meal off with an espresso martini and their famous coconut cake. Pure decadence.
It would be very hard to find a better restaurant in Charleston! The fish was outstanding (Flounder special). All flavors blended beautifully. My husband enjoyed the chicken dish. The Caesar salad was delicious. And of course the Coconut Cake cannot be beat and I am a chocolate lover! The service was excellent. I cannot say enough about the Peninsula Grille experience. Don't miss it!

For an expensive fine dining restaurant, the food was adequate but the side dishes selection was minimal. They really need to add some items like Charleston rice, sauteed Brussels, etc the potatoes were average; nothing spectacular, and chunky...Dessert selection ok.
