Very disappointed, we got shrimp po boy and bread was so overcooked in microwave it was impossible to eat , french fries was undercooked and soggy.Soft shell crab po boy overpriced for size they served.

5 stars. You'll miss it from the road if you aren't looking for it. But a real low country gem. The food is great, and the service is authentic. I would not pass up a chance to stop in and eat when driving by. You will not regret it.

Waited 45 minutes for chicken and waffles, southern favorite we have had many times at various restaurants in Savannah and Charlston. Order for lunch, came ice cold with tiny piece of chicken chopped up across the waffle. Not good. Looks like other menu items from review photos are better choices, hopefully an off afternoon.
It ain’t fancy inside, but the food is to die for and service was fantastic!The printed menu is not exceptional, but the specials are out of this world! I opted for the shrimp and grits w brown gravy, butter beans, and and extra side order of green beans…I could have died and gone to heaven! The shrimp were perfect and grits and gravy/sauce were so unbelievably flavorful and sumptuous!I did not have room for dessert but I sure wish I had!This is a GREAT super authentic southern cooking lowcountry gem!!!!

We found the place on Google looking for a lunch. The service was great! The food was ok. The atmosphere was not great. My son said it smelled funky and the floor was so sticky it was pulling on my boots.

Delightful from beginning to end. I don't know how I managed to eat it all. We started with fried green tomatoes, very hot and crisp, served with a creamy horseradish-y dip. I had fried scallops with red rice, mac and cheese, and cornbread and couldn't decide what the best thing on the plate was- I often find scallops are underseasoned or gritty and these were neither, and delectable. My husband got shrimp and grits with hush puppies and the shrimp were sweet and not overcooked, the gravy was hearty, and the hush puppies were piping hot and the best either of us have had- made better with sweet tea to wash it down, and very kind waitstaff. A tiny hole in the wall, well worth the stop!

These are the friendliest owners, so appreciative of your business, and accommodating for whatever you’re craving that day! This was our first time here, with my family, and the owner told us there were many things in the kitchen that may not be on the menu, and offered so many delicious options, including homemade fresh crab cakes! He made us fried green tomatoes and fresh (not frozen) fried okra for appetizers! OMGoodness, lots of LOVE in their food! Portions are large, freshly cooked, homemade quality dishes! Thank you for making my family feel so special and serving such great food! We will definitely be back!
