“Fried Green Tomatoes and Pan Fried Chicken Livers were amazing ? local catch parmesan crusted Flounder over shrimp was excellent! Be ready to eat if you order the buttermilk fried chicken, lots on a plate and delicious. Fantastic service too!”
“I dined at Delaney oyster tonight, and had an incredible experience. Our server was Charlie (easy to remember, we have the same name) and he gave us an experience we could never forget. 10/10 I will be back and I will be asking for Charlie!”
“This place is ok. We got the oyster, and I was surprised how unflavored it tastes, and I've eaten oysters around the world. The only reason I am giving this place a 4 star is because of the gumbo. OMG, the best I've ever had. Can't stop thinking about it. A must for everyone.”
“This place was top notch. From the Hostess to the Bartender to our Waiter. Some of the best food we have eaten at any seafood restaurant. We spend a lot of time in the Florida Keys and nothing compares to Hank's. Hank's is a must if you are visiting Charleston.”
“Located on upper King Street, The Darling Oyster Bar is a hoping joint that you must make reservations if you want to get prime time seating, as it is clearly very popular with the locals. As you can imagine from the name, it’s a seafood heavy restaurant so be prepared. The atmosphere is fun and casual, a touch on the loud side but not off putting. Note there are two sections, the large more "happening" side with the bar, osyer shuckers, with multiple street facing windows and a smaller, dark wood lined room that is much quieter and intimate. For our meal we had the Fried Clam Strips (good but they used a sweet and sour sauce that reminded me of a General Tao's or Orange Beef sauce), Hushpuppies (delicious), Creole Shrimp (excellent...one of the best shrimp dishes we've ever had!) and, of course being in the south, a side of Grits (which I love).Service was great! Friendly and engaging with the meals brought out relatively quickly. Overall, a highlight of our visit to Charleston and strongly recommend it for seafood lovers. Enjoy!”
Restaurants by Cuisine
“We went on a Sunday for the Gospel brunch and we were blown away by the hospitality and the welcome that we got from each and every staff member we came into contact with. We really felt like we were VIPs. I recommend the quiche and the salmon salad. Thanks to Matt our server as well! Hope to be back soon.”
“First time dining at Anson Restaurant and we absolutely loved everything about this place. Lovely atmosphere, great service and amazing food. Peter was our waiter, he was so personable and made great recommendations. Lobster Buccatini and She Crab Soup 10/10. We will be returning here!!”

FIG
“The restaurant seems to be showing its age. The gnocchi is still great. The atmosphere, service, and other dishes are in decline. At the price point there are better options in Charleston. They have removed the lime cream puff from the menu, if you are/were a fan of it.”
Restaurants with Delivery
“We ordered takeout of brisket and Turkey. It is some of the best BBQ I have ever eaten. They gave us a great portion of sauces and fixings. Perfect for multiple hotel meals.”

“Yes, it is as amazing as the others mentioned. You can stop looking for another cocktail bar now, this is on your must-see/try short list. With some of the best well-crafted balanced cocktails you'll find anywhere, coupled with an amazing staff, you'll want to visit again, trust me.”
“Our favorite restaurant during our time in Charleston! I wish we would’ve done the chef courses menu to get more variety, but everything we ordered was perfect. So creative and a great use of seasonal and local produce. You can tell there’s so much thought and care put into each dish. Expect to spend about $80 a person, but it’s so worth it.Our waiter was incredible and made our night so much better! Definitely get the butterscotch pudding if they still have it on their menu! :)”
“Entirely too many children. Please have a separate area for kids. I would really love this place if kids weren't running and screaming around me while I tried to enjoy a beer outside. Good food and beer and almost a nice patio if you like kids at a bar.”

“Best omakase in Charleston and probably South Carolina. On par with places I’ve been in Seattle and NYC. You won’t be disappointed. One of the better sake selections I’ve ever seen and Chris knows his stuff. If you like high quality omakase you need to snag a reservation here.”

“I hate fish so I ordered the shrimp and rice, which was delicious, but my husband had the swordfish and talked me into trying it. It was amazing!!We tried all the oysters and they were all so good! And the service was incredible!!Absolutely worth visiting more than once.”
“Came here on a rainy day, but Marvin and Carly behind the bar brought the sun! Very attentive service, delicious drinks and immaculate food. Would highly recommend this gem in Charleston !”
“Fantastic Food, super fresh, the staff were excellent and the atmosphere was really cool. Hands-down one of the best restaurants that Charleston has to offer without a doubt you have to go to this place. If you visit Charleston one little tidbit, it opens up at five. If you wanna even be considered to go in there, they do not take reservations get there at 4 o’clock. You may find yourself in a line of 30 people, but you will get in.”

“Honestly, the best meal I've had in Charleston in a long time. Our group had vegans and non-vegans, and we all had plenty of delicious options to choose from. I'll be dreaming about some of these dishes for a long time!”

“Best espresso martini in town! Stopped in here before dinner and the service was hands down the best we had all day! The owner of was working behind the bar and he clearly has a passion for cocktails and service! Glad we stopped in!”
“Absolutely delicious food. We started with the s'mores and carrot cake and were not disappointed. So rich and delicious. We moved on to the fried sweet potato skins, topped with an arugula salad blend. So well balanced and fresh. The main course was the tomato pie. Honestly the best meal I've ever had in Charleston! Highly recommend!”

“Very cool vibe. Outdoor setting, live music but not overpowering. Drinks were tasty and the food was delicious. The only reason the food got a 4 star not a 5 was we only tried a blackened fish sandwich and a fried chicken sandwich, which were both delicious. But we didn't sample anything more than that. The staff couldn't have been any friendlier!Wheelchair accessibility: Appeared to be wheelchair friendly.”
“First time dining at Anson Restaurant and we absolutely loved everything about this place. Lovely atmosphere, great service and amazing food. Peter was our waiter, he was so personable and made great recommendations. Lobster Buccatini and She Crab Soup 10/10. We will be returning here!!”
“We had a date night/lunch where we scheduled a sitter.Madelyn was amazing. She walked us through our saki choices and made some excellent recommendations. We also got great recommendations for our mealAll in all, probably the best sushi meal I have had in Charleston and we live here so that is saying a lot!!If you're thinking of coming, do it!! You won't be disappointed. And if you get Madelyn as your server, count yourself lucky!!”
“The best food I've had in a while! We had the shrimp and grits, and fried tomato sandwich. I was so blown away, could not stop eating my grits. The ambience was very charming as well.”
“Great Sichuan fusion fare that just gets your taste buds buzzing with great flavors. They tweak the menu seasonally. Interesting cocktails and very laid back and friendly but efficient service. Room is kind of kitschy with wooden tables and chairs and lively music. Great way to spend casual time with friends or favorite squeeze. Looking forward to returning soon.”
“We loved our experience here. This is arguably the very best meal I have ever had. We ordered Tuna Sriracha, Soft Shell Crab, and Shrimp Tempura Rolls. They were very well balanced, great textures, new flavors, and so satisfying. We had Salmon and Toro Nigiri, they were hands down the best fish I have ever eaten. They were perfect, you could not improve these dishes, absolutely impeccable. Lastly, we ordered the Duck Fried Rice with a poached egg; it was so luxurious. It was crispy, fatty, savory, and just a great indulgence. I will never forget this meal. Thank you 167 Sushi Bar for your mindful menu, and perfectly executed food.”
“A beautiful little restaurant that has it all. The service was fantastic and the ambiance perfect. The sourdough was fenominal. Flounder was amazing but many bites were over salted. Same issue with the rabit pasta being good but much too salty. The dessert - flourless cake was perfect! So glad we ordered it!Really only issue was the saltiness. I would definitely return though, its a lovely spot”
“My favorite restaurant of all time. My husband and I had our wedding reception here in the East Bay room. The staff is always fantastic, the music is always great, the food and drinks are always to die for. Is it cheap? No. Is it worth it? Absolutely 100%, totally yes. FYI please don’t be the person who shows up here in jeans or workout clothing.”
“Excellent food and atmosphere. My favorite in all of Charleston. The fried chicken by itself is fantastic, and if you get it as a sandwhich it’s still fantastic. The char grilled oysters are fantastic, coming from someone who normally does not like oysters. The scalloped potatoes are fantastic as well. The grilled fish sandwhich was excellent.”
“Came here on a rainy day, but Marvin and Carly behind the bar brought the sun! Very attentive service, delicious drinks and immaculate food. Would highly recommend this gem in Charleston !”
“BJs is the GOAT. Fantastic service, steak grilled cheese was awesome, changed the TVs for us and even had a splinter kit for our guy to get some glass out of his finger. Will return.”
“Been following Chef Nikko since his Mansueta's pop up days and very proud of him and all he has accomplished thus far! Kultura definitely did not disappoint! The Sisig Carbonara and Bistek were very good and the Ube latte was the icing on the cake! We will definitely be back for another dinner visit but also looking forward to trying their brunch. Kultura is small but very intimate with the kitchen staff and Chef Nikko himself up close and personal working their magic. Highly recommend!”

“I ordered take-out. The young lady that took my order left half of my order out of the bag. always check for exactness. She was so sweet and apologetic. The waffle was smaller than I remembered. The whites of my over medium eggs were a little too runny. But the food was delicious.”
“I love the coffee I make in my own kitchen- and I also savor the 20 min or so sitting at home drinking my delicious coffee in the morning before I get into my day. It takes a lot to get me to break from that routine. I prefer to meet someone for almost anything else other than coffee- to protect that time for myself in my own kitchen with the wonderful coffee I make at home. That was at least until I tried the coffee at Bottleneck. I had it for the first time several years ago at a local farmers market- the Vietnamese coffee (as another reviewer mentioned is mind blowing). I loved it but I tend to be a coffee purist- don't add anything. I want to taste the coffee. Now Bottleneck comes to MUSC- where I work. I will now forgo my coffee at home for a coffee from Bottleneck. I mostly get the Nitro- cool, black coffee infused with nitrogen. No ice. The varietal changes regularly so I know I am getting a world tour over time. Sometimes I switch it up and get hot black coffee, sometimes iced black coffee. No matter, it's always delicious.”
“Absolutely amazing place to stay in Charleston SC. Walking distance to downtown and all the hotspots. From the front desk to all the restaurants in the hotel, this place is fantastic.Food & drinks: Charlie at the pool bar is awesome!!”
“Keep it simple and enjoy a hearty meal without breaking the bank. Nothing special, just diner food made accessible. Service with a smile and a hot pot of coffee is a great way to start the day in my book.”
“Absolutely fantastic experience at The Establishment. The food was really awesome, but what really set this restaurant above its competitors was the level of service. All the wait staff, everyone, was phenomenally well trained and did an exceptional job. This was our first time going, but it's now on my short list of favorite restaurants in Charleston. Very, very highly recommended.”

“We were visiting Charleston for the day and we walked in for brunch. They were able to get us in right away. It was delicious. I have food allergies (gluten and dairy) and I was able to eat without any issues at all. I was with a vegetarian who was able to have food without any issues at all. It was so good that we came back for dinner. We got to sit at the chef’s table and it was so neat. We could see the pizzas being made and we both ate delicious pizza. They made a gluten free pizza crust without cheese, lamb sausage, basil, and asparagus. The food was delicious and safe. It was a clean restaurant with kind service from all.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, dairy free, and vegan options”

Husk
“Very good restaurant, great if visiting with a young childWent to Husk with wife and 2 year old. Got a nice table on the porch first floor, which was great given the weather.Excellent waiter, very knowledgeable. Food was very good, we really enjoyed it. We did not drink too much much so we ended up with $200 for two. This is a way to visit an higher class restaurant if coming with family, this is an almost cosy place with great food which doesn't take it too serious. We'll come back.”
Takeout Restaurants
“Go for the atmosphere and the beer selection, but don’t expect great food. Burgers are smash style, Reubens are light on meat. All is relatively expensive. But a good place to stop for a beer!”
“Cute place to disappear from the crowd. Excellent coffee and very friendly staff. Just didn‘t have the full variety of tea as stated in the manual. Patio is very well received.”
“Great experience with unique dishes and kitchen. Narrow and booked ahead. The food was delicious. Very small choice, but you have an option. You would need an Uber or walk there. The parking is the issue.”
“We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. The owner came by our table to congratulate us. A very nice touch. The hush puppies are out of this world. All of the food is amazing and the atmosphere was top notch. Well worth the hour wait”

“Went for breakfast and got a Cuban breakfast sandwich with ham and a cafe con leche and it was absolutely delicious! Love the plants in the window and the bird of paradise wallpaper. Great place for a quick bite before sightseeing in the city!”
“The food is a unique fusion. The owner, originally from Vietnam, evolved from a food truck to his own place blending art with culinary experimentation. My husband, a long-time fan since his college days, was impressed with the transformation. The menu is short but each dish is a masterpiece. I am not too much into Asian food but KFC fried chicken was rich and exceptional. The staff is very chill.Recommendation to management team: getting a table was a challenge due to the restaurant's size and a large party reservation. We ended up seated next to the bar, which was not so comfortable. Additionally, there's no parking nearby.Overall, the food is outstanding (6/5 if possible), but the dining experience could be improved.”
“I come here all the time and have nothing good to say about the servers, food, and atmosphere. Sometimes they have live music which is really a plus!!! Located right on king with a great happy hour and great cocktails!!! Rachel was my server/bartender tonight and she did a great job! The cassara is best in town!!!!”
“We stumbled on to this awesome restaurant. The shrimp and polenta dish was one for the record books... so good! The staff is amazing, they even have a list of "staff favorites" of other restaurants. It was so good, we came back again during our very short stay!”
“After a day of wrangling kids at the aircraft carrier and the aquarium, I took my Sister here to relax and decompress. Our waitress, Lyla, absolutely made our experience. She was passionate about the menu and made sure our sister time was complimented by the perfect food and drinks. It was lovely to kick back for a bit here and enjoy the excellent food. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Charleston! The mango sorbet was the perfect finish to our day and was to die for!”
“We loved our experience here at Cru Cafe. Sally our server was excellent! Her smile and charm at so much to the atmosphere. I loved that they had a non alcoholic beverage too. The beer choices were excellent for our party too. The champagne drink was good tooParking: Easy peasy”
“This place has outstanding Mexican food. The service was impeccable. Salsa bar and flour tortillas are made fresh daily. The cheese dip with tortilla mouth watering. We came for lunch, and everyone was so happy eating the food. Beautiful and open. You can sit inside or outside. Just look at the food pictures. The dessert orange flan was my favorite. I am still thinking about it. The sopas with cinnamon and sugar, then drizzled warm honey was chef kiss ?A huge must try.”
“The crab and shrimp rice dish was good - make sure you add the shrimp..! The lima beans plate was maybe even better.. but the collard greens and cornbread were fantastic..!”
“Great food, great service, beautiful decor. Be prepared for an unusually loud interior due to hard surfaces everywhere. Marinated olives with orange zest and pizza were awesome. Probably need a loud atmosphere to turn tables because the pizza is so good and so many people order it, but just don’t expect a peaceful atmosphere. In a hurry and want great pizza in a place that looks super cool and feels lively and loud with incredibly friendly staff? Go for it! Sometimes that’s what you want to celebrate something and to keep things upbeat. We prefer to be able to have a conversation and relax, but it’s probably great for young people who are on dates and nervous because they don’t know how to have a conversation yet or people who like drinking at dinner and cackling and hollerin’ at each other.”
“Honestly, the best meal I've had in Charleston in a long time. Our group had vegans and non-vegans, and we all had plenty of delicious options to choose from. I'll be dreaming about some of these dishes for a long time!”

Drive-Thru Restaurants
“Went on a Friday afternoon for lunch. It was busy but they are an efficient machine. Food was great and hands down the best sweet tea we had on our trip. Portion sizes were generous. The cornbread was amazing.”
“Highly recommended high quality food and service was quick and very tasty , the girl her name is Michealaa and she was so so nice and very friendly she knew what she was doing high quality costumer services she made very good drinks I love it .I recommend this place for sure”
“Went today for the first time. Tried the breakfast wrap, I wasn’t sure about fresh spinach and onions in a wrap, but it was great! The avacado was a great touch! A little pricy imo, but then again what is’t ??♂️.Nothing special about the drip coffee, but it is relatively cheap compared to other stores so that’s a plus.It would be a great place to study, read or have a small meeting. The employee was very nice, recognized it was my first time, and provided me with additional information about the store, ie curb side pick up.”
“We couldn't figure out where we wanted to eat late last night and didn't want to spend too much money since we'd already had an appetizer somewhere else. We walked by here and thought it would be good. The restaurant isn't exactly the cleanest and to food isn't exactly the highest quality that you may be used to in Charleston but it was pretty good, especially for the price. My husband and both ordered a drink and entree and shared a roll, all for about $50. It's almost impossible to get all that anywhere else. I even opted for the duck, which was a thigh portion but I really liked it. The curry was good and the vegetables were fresh. The roll wasn't very fancy but they had some that sounded really good to choose from. At under $10 for a roll, the price was right. Our server was nice and the food came out pretty quick. This looks like one of the hot spots for the college kids, probably because it is so affordable and it's pretty darn good. I'd definitely recommend and if we were local, we would definitely be back.”
“Everyone in there is really kind! The service is super fast!If you go inside, you can find a new riddle everyday! The scuba and electric dragon are nice refreshers! And the magic milk is just ?✨The blueberry muffin has sugar on top, it’s moist and fluffy! And there donut holes are super good and soft!We really recommend it! ☕️”
“I wish I had tried this place sooner. I got the 2 meat combo with 2 sides and everything was delicious and I couldn't even finish it all! Will be coming back”
“A small but quality Chick-fil-A on The Citadel campus. This one is located within The Citadel Canteen building beside Mark Clark Hall. No, you do not have to be a cadet to go eat there as it is open to the public. The dining area is always clean, and the food always comes out great. They are usually busy serving cadets, but the line is always served quickly. Overall, it's a great little fast food restaurant.Parking: Free parking lot just behind the building.”
“I ordered the Philly steak with fried okra. The okra was hot, fresh and crispy... It tasted like it had a Cajun seasoning. The Philly had a soft but crunchy bread, the meat was seasoned well and the whole sandwich was juicy. I enjoyed my meal. Niko's is definitely a go to on my trips to Charleston now!”
“My kids love ice cream cake for their birthdays. They have a wide selection of cakes online to choose or premade ones at the store. I like we can customize cake and ice cream flavor. They have been ready when we arrive to pick them up and friendly service. The cakes are always a hit!”
“This is by far the best subway in town! The staff is always friendly the building is always clean and the food is always fresh. If you’re craving Subway, make the drive to this one!”
“Melissa and her team at Ye Ole did an awesome job tonight (3-21-24). I brought my 7th grade class to Charleston, and we ate dinner at Ye Ole Fashioned. They got us in and out with lightening speed and accuracy. The food and ice cream were delicious. If you visit Charleston, SC, head on over to Ye Ole Fashioned on Savanah Hwy.”
“Came through the drive-thru so I can't say anything about the inside but I'm sure it's great. Fast service, super friendly, and offered a pup cup before I even had a chance to ask for one! 5 Stars from me and my pup!”
“Ordered from the app for the first time today. Hunter, (at Citadel Mall) thank you ever so much for your EXCELLENT customer service! You are the epitome of "service with a smile"! Ask about the manager's program! ?”
“It's a great choice if you're looking for a leaner way to go by way of dietary needs. Though it's in the fast food category, if greassy food or fattening food is a no no, then this is where I come to. They usually anchor every place food is sold and the service is usually friendly and your food is prepared to your specifications while you watch which is a plus for me.”
“I went to Ladles for lunch on James Island.I had a Shecrab soup and a turkey griller sandwich.I was so savory and filling. The service was great the environment was kind great. But being that it was lunch it was extremely busy and no place to seat.I had to take my lunch to go. AGAIN TRY TRY TRY LADLES WONT DISAPPOINT.THE FOOD WAS GREAT!”

“I came there to listen to some jazz music with a decent meal. I ended up listening to an outstanding jazz trio. The food there was the biggest surprise. I am genuinely surprised that this restaurant does not have a Michelin star. I can especially recommend their flounder and a fragrant potato soup. Deserts were amazing as well, including mango candy made in-house.”
“Historical meeting with quiet ambiance. The most extensive wine list for outstanding selection choices. Service is just amazing from beginning to end. The bartender Denis is top of the line!”
“Party of 3 always searching for the best dining experience. Food & staff are 100 out of 10 (, yes .. that good.) Thank you Lillianna for the best service in Charleston. ???”
“Our waiter Shea was wonderful and the sommelier made a great recommendation for our wine. The food and service were impeccable. It has become our favorite restaurant in Charleston and we can’t wait to come back.”
“After having dinner at another location we went up to the rooftop to enjoy a nightcap at their rooftop bar. It was quite a view getting out of the elevator and spotting their pool which looked much too easy to want to walk into it. By pure luck, there was a table available, which we pounced on. It showed such an amazing view of the skyline, underneath a Christmas lights lit umbrella. My best friend ordered a dirty martini while I got a Blue Moon. We chilled out, people watched and looked out to the streets below while just enjoying our vacation.”
“From exquisite presentation to unparalleled freshness, every bite is a symphony of flavors. The ingredients were fresh, the dining ambiance was intimate and the wine pairings were perfect! The omakase experience is a masterpiece of tradition and innovation, leaving you craving more. A must-visit for oyster and raw fish aficionados seeking luxury and impeccable service. We can’t wait to go back!!”
“We attended the dinner tribute to Sarah Rutledge. It was awesome. The food was delicious, the historic commentary very interesting, and the other guest fun and from all different areas of the country. Actually the highlight of our trip to Charleston.”
“Definitely five star restaurant. Food is so good and service so attentive. It was rainy night, we had great time. Fixed menu, $145 each person, my ten year old daughter enjoyed it. She ordered herself caviar, it was good.”
“We hosted a rehearsal dinner and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Chris David & Jona were so attentive. The food was beyond amazing. We couldn’t be happier with how the night turned out. It was absolutely magical. Thank you Chris David & Jona for taking such great care of us and our family. And thank you Abby for helping us organize this wonderful night ???”
“We attended the tavern lunch and it was great! What a fantastic way to learn more about the area’s history. Mike was fantastic and the food was delicious. Must do!”
“My boyfriend and I went to Oak to celebrate our special occasion. The food, service, and atmosphere was absolutely exceptional. However, Jayton (the general manager) took our experience from great to outstanding. Jayton went out of his way to make our dinner a night we will never forget. We are still in shock by his hospitality and generosity. We are so grateful for his kind gesture and highly recommend Oak whether you are celebrating an occasion or just in the mood for a delicious meal. Thank you Jayton (and Cam - server) for an unforgettable evening. See you both soon!”

“First time dining, will not be the last! Entrees were superbly prepared and ample (rabbit en croute, flounder). The accompaniments were imaginative, fresh & very flavor-filled. The wine list complements the menu & is explained by very knowledgeable staff. Desserts will be experienced on our next visit. Looking forward to patio dining as well! Go! You won't be disappointed!”

Lenoir
“Absolutely delicious food. We started with the s'mores and carrot cake and were not disappointed. So rich and delicious. We moved on to the fried sweet potato skins, topped with an arugula salad blend. So well balanced and fresh. The main course was the tomato pie. Honestly the best meal I've ever had in Charleston! Highly recommend!”
Cheap Eats
“If you guys haven’t tried this place out, try it out and run! This place is so incredibly good, I looked at the menu and wanted a certain sandwich, my coworker came back with two random sandwiches because that was all that the guy had left his inventory, and dude!! I don’t even care what the sandwich was, it was absolutely phenomenal. Definitely will be back, and I will be highly recommending this place!”
“All sorts of delicious home baked good here. If you are visiting definitely a good goody spot. If this is your home town, great place to study or meet a friend for coffee.”
“Beautiful old architecture inside and out. Absolutely delicious homemade foods. Great service. Even with a line going outside, the wait was short, and we were happily on our way in a matter of a few minutes.”
“Everything was amazing! My son and I had tacos, banana bread, OJ and coffee. Amanda had great customer service she guided us with patience and kindness through the menu. Love this place.”
“Amine at Cocktail Club is hands down the best bartender in town. Not only does he mix up fantastic drinks, but he also has a knack for making every customer feel welcome and appreciated.”
“Only a block from our rental downtown, we walked and found this PERFECT breakfast spot! No line, no crowd, just an EXCELLENT home-cooked breakfast! Dine inside or on the sidewalk. We did both.”
“To much rosemary in the fries but a hell of a nice barParking: Not too bad, obviously the really busy times are worse.Kid-friendliness: GreatWheelchair accessibility: Great”
“A little sandwich shop with a grand taste! We stopped by right before closing but were welcomed with warm smiles and received an excellent service. Delicious fresh sandwiches on bread from a local vendor. You will not be disappointed!”
“Fried pork chop was on point, as usual. The butter beans are more like a soup and have so much flavor, as did the cabbage. Sweet tea is sweet, but that’s how it’s supposed to be made. ❣️”
“First time in. They had a large variety of muffins, cookies, pies and pastries. I was greeted immediately. Lots of seating. Kind of a funky little place. I ended up getting a delicious key lime pie. Also got a gingerbread cookie which I loved the frosting but all the sprinkled sugar was overpowering. It would have been perfect without the extra sugar.”
“Cute little coffee shop. Limited seating outdoors. Coffee was good and staff was friendly. Definitely would swing by and grab another cup of coffee if I come back in the ”
“Simple, counter order cafe with some seriously delicious food. The breakfast tacos were some of the best we’ve ever had, the burrito is great with the hot sauce, and the pancakes are a must (ask them to warm up the syrup though no one wants cold syrup). The menu is extensive and had tons of great options, it was hard for us to narrow down to three choices. Highly recommend!”
“We had a ten person party on Saturday night 4/5 which is one of the busiest days of the year for Charleston. The inside was packed so we grabbed a table outside. The service was outstanding. It’s truly been a while since we’ve had service that great and we weren’t expecting it on this night. The food and drinks came out promptly and as ordered and and the waitress was wonderful. Everything was delicious and we really enjoyed it!! Great job staff!”
“All around amazing. I had the shrimp, fried Mac and cheese, the burger (cooked perfectly) the wings, the quesadilla, even the drinks were good! The service was phenomenal as well !”
“Can't beat a double espresso for under $3. $2.50, in fact, which is why we went (and why we went a second time later that day) . Staff is friendly and unpretentious, along with the rest of the vibe. Bagel sandwiches looked amazing. Clean bathrooms and great outdoor seating, too. An amazing find! I hope they keep it real.”

Vern's
“A beautiful little restaurant that has it all. The service was fantastic and the ambiance perfect. The sourdough was fenominal. Flounder was amazing but many bites were over salted. Same issue with the rabit pasta being good but much too salty. The dessert - flourless cake was perfect! So glad we ordered it!Really only issue was the saltiness. I would definitely return though, its a lovely spot”

SHIKI
“We had a date night/lunch where we scheduled a sitter.Madelyn was amazing. She walked us through our saki choices and made some excellent recommendations. We also got great recommendations for our mealAll in all, probably the best sushi meal I have had in Charleston and we live here so that is saying a lot!!If you're thinking of coming, do it!! You won't be disappointed. And if you get Madelyn as your server, count yourself lucky!!”
31
The Ordinary
“I hate fish so I ordered the shrimp and rice, which was delicious, but my husband had the swordfish and talked me into trying it. It was amazing!!We tried all the oysters and they were all so good! And the service was incredible!!Absolutely worth visiting more than once.”

Bar167
“Came here on a rainy day, but Marvin and Carly behind the bar brought the sun! Very attentive service, delicious drinks and immaculate food. Would highly recommend this gem in Charleston !”
“Historical meeting with quiet ambiance. The most extensive wine list for outstanding selection choices. Service is just amazing from beginning to end. The bartender Denis is top of the line!”
36
Chez Nous
“Great experience with unique dishes and kitchen. Narrow and booked ahead. The food was delicious. Very small choice, but you have an option. You would need an Uber or walk there. The parking is the issue.”
“The she crab soup is amazing. Fried Green Tomatoes are layered with fresh crab meat. We ordered a side of crab for our salads. All delicious!Parking: Parking is available next to restaurant for $5.”
38
Malagón
“I would argue that Malgón has the best bread service in Charleston. We stopped in for appetizers and wine. Our server was great and the patio was suuuuper cute. Blankets were provided on the patio as well, which was the perfect touch on this chilly evening. I’ve dinned here a few times and this is easily one of my favorite spots in Charleston.”
39
Legend Deli
“Super small Deli. The guy I met working the register has a wonderful smile and was super personable. On top of the wonderful energy from the people working here, the burrito absolutely rips. Its so so good.”
40
82 Queen
“We had learned a lot of positive feedback on 82 Queen, especially considering it's long history in Charleston. That may be a reason why we were ultimately disappointed by the experience. To start the restaurant is large subdivided into a number of rooms and buildings in line with their growth. We (unfortunately, I would say, were sat in the back upper room that was bland, lacking any connection to the restaurants history; looking more like the dining room at a Hampton Inn than a premium restaurant. That would be tolerable but the food that followed was lackluster as well. We started with a very non-traditional Caesar Salad (see picture...it was good but quite small), the Roasted Portabella Mushroom (also ok but there was a lot more quinoa than mushroom) and the BBQ Shrimp & Grits (decent but the grits came out hardened on the top (as if it was siting under a heat lamp for too long and the BBQ sauce was more from a jar than homemade). Our dessert of Bread Pudding was good but not outstanding. The service however was very pleasant and our server took good care of us and was frequently checking to make sure we got our food, etc... it is just too bad that we were so disappointed by the result. Enjoy!”
41
Sorelle
“Our waiter Shea was wonderful and the sommelier made a great recommendation for our wine. The food and service were impeccable. It has become our favorite restaurant in Charleston and we can’t wait to come back.”
42
Southbound
“Party of 3 always searching for the best dining experience. Food & staff are 100 out of 10 (, yes .. that good.) Thank you Lillianna for the best service in Charleston. ???”
43
Rancho Lewis
“This place has outstanding Mexican food. The service was impeccable. Salsa bar and flour tortillas are made fresh daily. The cheese dip with tortilla mouth watering. We came for lunch, and everyone was so happy eating the food. Beautiful and open. You can sit inside or outside. Just look at the food pictures. The dessert orange flan was my favorite. I am still thinking about it. The sopas with cinnamon and sugar, then drizzled warm honey was chef kiss ?A huge must try.”
44
Wild Common
“One of the best dining experiences I have ever had! Menus was beautifully crafted and even prepared substitutions for my wife given her pregnancy. Amazing team that took care of us and got to know us personally in the 2-hour timeframe we were there. At the end, they surprised us with a hand-signed copy of our menu to help us commemorate such a great experience during our baby-moon.”
45
Swig & Swine
“Great BBQ and I am from Texas! Service was awesome, quick and the servers checked on us regularly. As an African American, this was one of the Few places in Charleston that made me feel comfortable! We even froze some BBQ and flew with it home to Houston.”
“Phenomenal experience. We were a group of ladies going for a bachelorette last summer. To say this place went above and beyond to make this night special is an understatement. The service was warm and friendly, the food fantastic and the vibe impeccable. They wrote the bride a hand written card and got her a thoughtful gift!!! They also added a portion of desert to allow for us to share. This place clearly knows what it’s doing and I wish to go back to SC every month just to visit this restaurant. Thanks for everything guys ❤️”

Pink Bellies
49
The James
“Random afternoon out with my pups! Patio is dog friendly. Let me start with the service. Jennifer and Christina were Amazing! So kind and attentive. We didn't want for anything! They always made sure we had everything we needed!FOOD...oh my heavens!! The food was delicious!! Every single bite...worth every single calorie. The James is a place we will revisit over and over again!! Great music, great atmosphere.Jennifer & Christina, thank you for being an amazing dynamic which makes this place great!!”

Sushi-Wa
“Best omakase in Charleston and probably South Carolina. On par with places I’ve been in Seattle and NYC. You won’t be disappointed. One of the better sake selections I’ve ever seen and Chris knows his stuff. If you like high quality omakase you need to snag a reservation here.”
“They were very accommodating for my special diet. We came for a special occasion and I recently started a strict elimination diet. Honestly I was totally dreading this dinner bc I didn’t want to be “that girl” at the table questioning every ingredient. And I was fully expecting to have to sit and watch everyone else eat. But instead the chef came out, discussed my diet, and made sure there was an app, entree, and side that would be compatible with my restrictive diet. The food was delish (of course) but better than that was the fact that I could enjoy a meal with everyone else at the table.”
“Friends let me tell you about this experience!!! It was good. This is off the beaten path but is an absolute must! Our appetizer was muscles and fries in coconut and lime broth, as well as sriracha and cornichon ketchup. The flavors were so nice and danced on the tongue.Next up I had the bourride and it didn’t disappoint. Dam! That was tasty! For dessert we had the lava cake and just like everything else it was done correctly and had great flavor that wasn’t overpowered with sugar as I have seen so many times. Our server was Dalton and he was very knowledgeable about the offerings and also the area. He’s a great server and made us feel welcome!Come to this restaurant because you will not leave disappointed. Thanks for the amazing food!!!”
“Amazing place to eat. I suggest the full Brazilian steakhouse experience. I believe they have over 70 meat dishes to sample plus a salad bar. Warning: you will gain weight.”
“London was amazing. Friendly, and fast! She anticipated our needs, made great suggestions for our entrees and was very timely with our refills. Thank you for the excellent service! An unexpected surprise was the staff singing happy birthday to my daughter. Thank you again.”
“La Bonne consistently exceeds expectations. For brunch, the french toast was made with excellent bread, cooked perfectly and served with berries that were both firm and sweet. The omelette was cooked beautifully with just the right amount of goat cheese and mushrooms. Let's talk about coffee: amazing french press cup, delicious. The service, the staff, attention to detail— always so well done. Lovely experience.”
“Nice brewery with good beer, laid back vibe and friendly staff. Good place to go to simply relax and enjoy as my wife and I did on a sunny Sunday afternoon. We tried 4 brews, lazy hazy IPA. Italian brew, Mexican lager and a seasonal ST Paddy day stout. All good”
“If Thailand and Italy had a love child it would be the Pad Thai Gnocchi. Flavors of the east with the carb goodness of potato pasta! But wait, the star of the show was the Cashew Korma. Add the tender short rib protein to elevate this to a heavenly level. Spread my ashes at the steps of this temple of food.”

Stella's
“We visited Charleston for my sister’s 40th birthday and our group of 7 people went to Stella’s for a late dinner. The food, atmosphere and service was amazing. As a group full of Greeks, we were all impressed with the authentic cuisine and they had great selections for Greek wine. The staff was friendly, attentive and made the experience enjoyable. We would definitely visit this place again next time we are in Charleston.”
“We were visiting Charleston, and our family has a number of food allergies - milk, egg, peanuts, tree nuts, plus I'm gluten-free. We are accustomed to limited options, being disappointed, and risking allergic reactions when eating out. So, we were excited to try Basic Kitchen based on the reviews. The location is great. The staff is very welcoming and friendly and the ambience is nice. Loved the energy and the vibes from the staff and the restaurant decor. There were lots of options for us to eat and I felt very safe (for myself and my kids). Thai butternut & red lentil soup was yummy. My hubs got the yellow coconut curry with tofu and it was really good. The sweet potato fries with the vegan ranch were amazing (really the ranch...you have to try it).I ordered the Naughty Burger without cheese and on gluten-free bread and was underwhelmed. The beef was great, but they left off the onions and gave me a dollop of dijonnaise on sandwich bread (sliced bread). That's it. Sandwich bread, a dollop of dijonnaise, pickles, and 2 burger patties. It was dry and basic. I would have loved a gluten-free bun, the option of vegan cheese, and more condiments. My son enjoyed his Naughty Burger without modifications. It did come with a bun.Overall, I was pleased that no one had an allergic reaction, everyone had safe options, and the food was good. I just wasn't blown away and was disappointed with my Naughty Burger. I wish I didn't have to sacrifice flavor for safe food.If you don't have dietary restrictions, you'll likely love the food. It's fresh, quality food with great service!”

Neon Tiger
“Moody, atmospheric vegan restaurant has a plethora of health conscious options that don’t sacrifice flavor. Have been here multiple times and have yet to be disappointed. Would happily recommend to any vegans or vegetarians.”
62
Citrus Club
“Beautiful rooftop dining and such an amazing view! I took one star from food as the pina colada shrimp was good but not worth $22 for 6 shrimp. It was $70 for one plate of shrimp, a non alcoholic drink and a shot of bourbon (+tip). I may could justify that given the view/atmosphere though...”
“Great place, excellent food, reasonably priced, and fantastic service. It's an absolute gem on James Island worthy of downtown Charleston. Never had something I didn't like. From a fine Charcuterie board to an Italian BLT... steak to chicken and waffles. Lovely outdoor seating area and an elegant yet comfortable bar. It's definitely worth a visit.”
““Uncle Mikey” made our entire day! The best service and food I have ever received! I would just come back to see our favorite waiter Michael. Thanks for the smiles and good times. We were disappointed to not get the shrimp roll but he surprised us with one!”
65
Le Farfalle
“Wonderful meal prior to our show! I had the clams with house made linguine and the pasta, buttery seasoned sauce was delish. My husband had a lamb meal and it was excellent. My daughter had a small plate as her meal and her girlfriend had a Cesar salad! Drinks were phenomenal and so was the service. Our waiter was very attentive and we even got a visit from the Maitre d! We will definitely be back.”
“My dining experience was one of the most enjoyable years. From our cocktails to the Bulls Bay Clams. The Grouper and Flounder Entree was declcious and cooked perfectly. Then we finished our meal off the desert. I would highly recommend that if you're in town looking for a delicious, relaxing dining experience, give The Tempest a try. Btw- My wife thanks the staff for her flower..”

Gingerline
“Wow, what an incredible restaurant! From the service to the atmosphere to the food, gee, it really hits all the marks! I want to express my gratitude to the incredible staff for making my visit absolutely incredible. I’ve talked so highly of this restaurant, and I haven’t even mentioned the incredible, high quality cups. From top to bottom, this may be the best restaurant ever!”
68
Bearcat
“Do yourself a favor and eat here! I happened to locate Bearcat on a whim and my wife and I decided to eat here for our 1 year anniversary. From the food to the cocktails, there was not one item that we disliked. We started with the Grilled Oysters, Smoked Maitake Mushrooms & Duck Liver Toast. The oysters were perfectly cooked and had an incredible earthy/savory taste. The maitake mushrooms were tender with a hint of smoke & the duck liver toast was point blank the best I have ever had in terms of quality, texture and taste. We then moved on to the Hamachi Crudo, Crab Rice & Pork Belly. My wife could could not get enough of the Hamachi Crudo & Crab Rice with the uni hollandaise. The pork belly was perfectly cooked with a fantastic amount of fat cap that made it melt in your mouth. For cocktails, please do yourself a favor and order the "That's My Jam" as every sip will make you feel like you are biting into a PB&J (if you are into that thing). Thank you again Bearcat + crew for making our 1 year anniversary dinner nothing short of perfect!”
“Stopped off in here for a bite to eat and a drink. Friendly atmosphere with good food and drink options. Thanks for the good laughs! I will recommend this spot to all who visit the neighborhood.”

O-Ku
“We love coming to O-ku, it feels metro being right on King Street. The appetizer summer roll is unreal! The sauce the soooo good.Pictured is the rainbow roll, a little small for the price. The sake is speciality and the sake flight lets you try some different ones. I recommend a reservation because sometimes it is busy!”
“From the second we checked in till we closed the place down we had excellent service. Donnie was amazing server. From wine recommendations, meal ideas, and dessert choices he didn't steer us wrong. As a group we tasted many dishes. All well seasoned and beautifully prepared. We were able to cut up, have fun, and enjoy our time without being hushed. Definitely recommend you check this spot out. Make sure to make reservations.”
“It's a nice hipster looking place with indie and alternative music in the background ? the staff is super friendly and you can see that they work as a team and get along ?♂️I tolerate spicy very little and well ? this place has very few menu options and several of them are, guest what? spicy ?️? however the good reviews and photos made us come ? the little I tried from my boyfriend's dish (Pad Kra Pao) it seemed to me that the meat was very well seasoned, and he was fascinated by his dish, the buns we ordered to share were delicious, sweet and soft, both the bun and the meat ?; my greens tasted sooooo good, we were impressed; the Jiao Zi were a surprise, I had never tried that flavor profile and I It seemed very interesting honestly but I also started to burn my mouth our waitress Natalie saw me struggling with water and my ginger beer and brought me ? milk like ❤️ it was the freakin’ sweetest and most considerate gesture on the ? because I knew that it would be spicy and I still took the risk and didn't ask for help but she was watching our table so she noticed it honestly super attentive not only with that but with her whole service during our stay, I am so pleased whenever I get actual quality services, 5 stars for Natalie ⭐️?We were satisfied in our tummies and our hearts ? (and had some leftovers to go ?)”
“Meh… we were slightly disappointed. Happy hour prices were good, but food was mediocre. I hate leaving less than stellar reviews but honesty is real. Service was great. Bartender was cool. Kitchen was timely. Beer was on happy hour, good prices, but it was not cold (I tried 3 different local beers, all were kinda warm). Food was so-so. I had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich; decent flavor, but not very Nashville hot. It was two chicken fingers on toast loaded with a sloppy coleslaw. I expected a side dish, but apparently it was a la carte (I didn’t realize until it was served). My coworker ordered the shrimp & grits; great flavor but not true grits. It was some kinda grit patty/cake. Presentation was good, just not as expected and she was slightly disappointed. Sandwich $16, shrimp & grits $23. Overall average experience, but the general consensus was that it’s overpriced. I would return and try something else but it would not be my first choice. Thank you.”
“As soon as you open the door to this establishment you get hit with the smell of the spices. I made a reservation ahead of time and I’m thankful that I did because the tables were turning over quickly. I ordered the goat, and my friend got the buttered chicken. The goat was unbelievable, and then I tried the butter chicken and it was even better. I feel like you can’t order anything “wrong” on this menu. We ended up taking food to go because the portions were also so big. The service was the cherry on top and our server was amazing. The sweetest person and made great recommendations.”

The Grocery
“Need reservations , this is an upscale restaurant and to enjoy the experience always nice to dress well but casual is fine here as well. The tables are well spaced out and the bar and tables are well spaced out They have a number of great waiters to help decision making as there are many interesting signature dishes The drinks and desert menu was good as well We had the steak verde and the cauliflower as the appetizer and the gnocchi, potato crusted grouper and peel Milanese as our main course Great service !”
76
Renzo
“Best Italian casual in town! Pizza is "to die for" and the pasta is pretty great! Wish they had a tad bigger menu, but what they do they do REALLY WELL! Nice people, well run and cozy!”

Maya
“This place is awesome! The hostess was friendly and we couldn’t have had a better waiter than Tyler. We started with the Dip Trio, which the four of us thoroughly enjoyed. All of us were happy with the taste and quantity of our food. I had the Soft-shell Crab, which was very unique for a Mexican dish, but was well executed! My wife and kids enjoyed their food as well. We will definitely go back here again.”
“We attended the dinner tribute to Sarah Rutledge. It was awesome. The food was delicious, the historic commentary very interesting, and the other guest fun and from all different areas of the country. Actually the highlight of our trip to Charleston.”
“Very nice. Not quite as good as some of the other Poogans, but still a good place for dinner. The food was just a tad lacking, and with all the amazing choices on town, it’s hard to say this one is a must visit.Shrimp and grits was decent, but there are better ones in town. Nice staff, good atmosphere, just a tad pricey for the quality.”

Melfi's
“Incredible experience! The cocktails were lovely — I could drink the Ex-Royal exclusively for the rest of my life and be so happy. Ethan was THE best waiter — and their Uber score of 4.98 confirms it! The gnudi were a religious experience. The pastas were all mouth-watering (the duck and the bolognese were spectacular). We sat on the patio with heaters that kept us comfortable in the evening. Loved the experience. Cannot more highly recommend this spot!”

Grill 225
“After having dinner at another location we went up to the rooftop to enjoy a nightcap at their rooftop bar. It was quite a view getting out of the elevator and spotting their pool which looked much too easy to want to walk into it. By pure luck, there was a table available, which we pounced on. It showed such an amazing view of the skyline, underneath a Christmas lights lit umbrella. My best friend ordered a dirty martini while I got a Blue Moon. We chilled out, people watched and looked out to the streets below while just enjoying our vacation.”
“Whether you intend to host a party or just drop in for a glass of wine and a bottle to take home, Wine & Company has you covered. Exceptional selection of rare retail and by-the-glass wines, including some with age, and all with character. Wine & Company is a shining example of Charleston culture at its finest.”
“Every bite was a complete delight! Fresh raw bar was ready to go and satisfied everybody at the table. The oyster Po boy as well as the smashburger were the perfect size. Service is great, it was busy yet everything was quick, tasty and met my expectations!”
“Everything is incredible. Perfect balance of centex, whole hog, and Hector’s Puerto Rican influence. Come for the beef cheeks, stay for the whole hog but everything is delicious. Don’t sleep on the pork steak special.”
“I was in town for work and went to Hymans for dinner on a Wednesday night at the recommendation of a local. Food was fantastic. Complimentary hush puppies. We got crab soup, salmon croquettes, and fried shrimp tacos, and they were all delicious. Clifton h's service was SUPERB and even though it was busy, he kept us entertained and fed. Great experience, and will absolutely return on my next trip into town.”
“Ya'lllllllllllll ? ? ? SPECTACULAR!!!!!??? Cody and the girls were exceptional?. I'm extremely picky and they exceeded any of my initial expectations!!! Highly recommend!!!!!!”
“We come to Kiawah Island for many years. One of our high high Lights is dining at Aji. We are from New Jersey and had the pleasure of having dined with on the delicacies created by Tim at our local sushi restaurant and are jealous that folks in Charleston have access to this great restaurant. We look forward to returning later in the year.”

Estadio
“We’ve only been to Estadio a couple times because of price but it’s honestly one of our top restaurants in the city.Beyond the amazing food and always good neighborhood-y vibes, we were especially grateful for the host to allow us to move inside when our reservation was outside. Overall, Estadio represents every single element of a good dinner: good food, good music, good lighting, and good hosting/serving.Going forward, Estadio is going to be our go-to happy hour spot because of the surprisingly affordable happy hour menu.”
“I can’t say enough…food, service, drinks, atmosphere; it was all top notch without being “too much”. This was a nice relaxing, welcoming environment compared to some of the “upscale” dining we did previously on our trip. True farm to table with all food options. Service was the best I have had in a very long time and was better than most of the cities I have visited.”
“We hosted a surprise party for my husband at Munkle and it was the perfect location! Palmer was so helpful and accommodating for our group and it ended up being the perfect day. The patio is amazing and a great spot for a nice day. The beer is fantastic and there were plenty of non-alcoholic options as well. Thank you Palmer and Munkle staff for making my husband's 40th birthday a huge success!”

R Kitchen
“This is the BEST place to catch brunch. West Ashley location is BYOB. All food is plated in front of you. You get a one on one experience with the chefs. And it's a wonderful experience! The food is unlike any other brunch food you will have anywhere else! If you love brunch, make your reservation now!”

Raw Lab
“From exquisite presentation to unparalleled freshness, every bite is a symphony of flavors. The ingredients were fresh, the dining ambiance was intimate and the wine pairings were perfect! The omakase experience is a masterpiece of tradition and innovation, leaving you craving more. A must-visit for oyster and raw fish aficionados seeking luxury and impeccable service. We can’t wait to go back!!”

Revival
“Dillan was an amazing waiter. He recommended the halibut entree and the Elvis dessert. We also ordered shrimp and grits and a side of squash. Everything was beyond our expectations. Honestly the best meal this trip. We’re staying at the Vendue as well. Honestly, the hotel (Allyson- curator) and the restaurant, AND the service ,AND the people , do not disappoint. And, and, and ,and, and….. go there an experience the Vendue!!!!”

Bin 152
“We visited this place while we are waiting or our turn at 167 Raw Oyster bar. Bin 152 is a hidden gem. It has a great selection of wines from all over the world and cheese and charcuteries. They recommended the wine once we told them that later we would be having oysters for dinner and moreover they recommended the cheese and charcuteries to accompany our wine. Great service, will definitely revisit.”
“Wonderful people. Wonderful food. Chicken, pork chops, Creole dishes, lots of wonderful sides.Parking: A few spaces out front. God but if parking in the rear. Rear parking lot is dirt and not in great shape.”
“My girls trip made reservations and we were thrilled with our experience! Petunia took such great care with our service with, humor, attention and excellent recommendations! The special that night was the grouper which paired with a delicious risotto. My mouth hummed with flavors that melted in my mouth! Can’t wait to come back! Thank you for the incredible dirty martini- perfectly balanced!”
“After visiting two other breweries, this place felt like the more "underground" spot. Good music in the background and overall felt very local. Beer tastes good.”
“We visited on a Saturday afternoon with our friends from out of town bragging about this place. Service was unusually slow ( shift change), but eventually got our food.”
“This place is a gem! Awesome local taproom. Great selection of beers - IPAs, stouts, sours, they have it all. The bartenders really know their stuff, and is a Bills fan, who helped me pick out some winners. The vibe is chill and friendly. Definitely a cool spot to kick off a night on King Street! ??”

“Came through the drive-thru so I can't say anything about the inside but I'm sure it's great. Fast service, super friendly, and offered a pup cup before I even had a chance to ask for one! 5 Stars from me and my pup!”
“The best pizzeria I have ever ate at. I had the spaghetti with clams that had a fantastic flavor that was out of this world great. Their sauce is homemade and awesome. I would have never dreamed you could combine the two for one of the best tasting spaghetti dinners I have ever eaten. The atmosphere and service is already the best thanks to April.”

“I was lucky to stumble upon Dellzville while in Charleston. I pre-0rderd their Harvest Feast for Thanksgiving. It was by far one of the best vegan meals I have had!! I didn’t feel like I was lacking anything with the rest of my family filling up on their traditional meal. PS..mine looked and tasted better! My only regret is that I should have ordered a second platter for leftovers.”
“i don’t normally post google reviews but i must say that this place was amazing. clean, fast, and very nice staff. food was so fresh when we stirred our pastas, steam just poured out. 10/10 would recommend visiting”
“Our server was Fiona, and she was so fun and attentive! We ordered steamed dumplings, kids ramen, and Pho with rare beef slices and all the fixins. Hands down the BEST pho we’ve had so far. Will definitely be back.”
“What a great way to end a trip to Charleston. We went on a Wednesday night and listened to the Brett Belanger Trio and they were fantastic. There’s no table service, so you order food & beverages at the lobby bar. We got a couch 2nd row from the stage and it was perfect. I highly recommend a night at Forte.”
“Such a cute shop!!!There are a good variety of flavors for either thicker or thinner small cookies! The staff is very friendly and eager to give out as many free samples as you want, which is also amazing :)The packaging for the boxes is sooo cute and you can mix and match multiple cookie options in one box if you’re indecisive like me- great for snacking with a group of friends! ?”
“My cocktail was good. The salmon on my salad was cold. I did order their wings, " extra crispy" but unfortunately that request wasn't honored. I didn't take a picture of the wings. Restaurant is near the mall, which is in walking distance. Restaurant was clean and my food came out in timely manner.Parking: Stand alone restaurant with plenty of parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes.”
“Best latte in Charleston. Best doughnut in Charleston. Just those two things alone would be enough to bring me back again and again. But the meals are also really great. This time I had the King St bowl, a fantastic representation of southern food done well. My partner had the smashburger and said it was a…smash. Both this location and the downtown one are decorated really well and the staff is always super friendly. Highly recommend for tourists and locals alike.”
“The only reason I’m giving this 4 stars is because I was a frequent customer and their food was always hot, delicious, and fresh!!! I am also giving it 4 stars because the owner fully refunded me after I didn’t receive my food and he/she clearly knows how to treat people who patron his restaurant. I was a little early for pickup, so I understood that my food wasn’t ready. But there have been times where I have done the same and it was, so I didn’t think anything of it. The manager at this location told me that I would need to go through Chow Now who I originally ordered through. Ok, understandable. AFTER I left and contacted Chow Now, they called and she told them she will only be issuing me a partial refund because my fries were ready and not my sandwich. She failed to tell me this in person, “because she’s not gonna sit up here and argue”. Yet proceeded to just that almost blowing out my ear drum out with all her yapping like a rabid dog! The fact is, she knew exactly what she was doing. In fact, the other young lady at the counter told me they were just starting on my order, so of course I’m going to think nothing was ready! I didn’t make a fuss, nor was I angry because it wasn’t their fault that I was early. I just simply asked for a refund. After finding out that her intentions was to never fully refund me. I called up there and spoke with her in what started out as a calm conversation. She then got EXTREMELY rude, raising her voice, and started yelling and over talking me. Very nasty! Worst customer service I have literally EVER received and as someone who has been in customer service for years, this experience was mind blowing. I live far from this location but I come here for work and planned on bringing my kids here to enjoy food and ice cream one Saturday because it’s seriously one of the best locations quality wise and because our location closed down. But it’s safe to say I won’t be a returning customer. I don’t do well with nasty and mean managers who talk to people like they don’t care if they receive their business. Good luck to that lady, because one day she will talk to the wrong person like that! Thank goodness I have changed, I almost drove back up there and asked her to speak to me just like she did over the phone but she isn’t worth it and never will be. I hope whatever she brought on her shoulders to work with her today, gets better! Because she’s usually really sweet, I don’t even have to ask for condiments because she’ll make sure they are in my bag. Sad. Thank you to the owner for refunding me fully. And to the General Manager for taking care of this on my behalf. Blessings.”
“I had never tried Tropical Grille. I suggested it to colleagues due to the healthy menu and the centralized location. We ended up having a 2.5 hour meeting while dining.I ordered the vegetable plate and added the slow roasted pork, which came with a slice of toasted pita bread. The food was excellent! The service team was friendly as well.I will definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone I know!”

“We sat at the outdoor patio which in some aspects was nice because it was much quieter and our waiter was very attentive but the atmosphere wasn’t anywhere near as nice as it was inside. Plus the table was wobbly which for the price of the restaurant is disappointing to me. For appetizers we had the beef tartare, Moroccan meatballs, and truffle Caesar. They all were delicious, with the tartare being our favorite. For entrees we had the salmon and scallops. Both had great flavors but were overdone and a little dry. We were surprised they didn’t ask how my husband wanted the salmon cooked (it was well done). I also felt like the scallops had lots of strong fall flavors (sweet potatoes, apples, almonds, etc.) which was kind of weird for a spring/summer meal. Overall the food was good but not the caliber we expected for the price and we likely wouldn’t return. The waiter was great and very attentive though!”
“Had a great time tonight celebrating our 48th wedding anniversary dinner. We were accommodated with a quiet area table. Autumn took great care of us. She was very attentive and a pleasure to interact with. The food was perfect. Next time in Charleston, we'll be back.”
“Absolutely perfect location. We ate out on the Ashley patio. Amazing views and delicious food. Service was friendly, but very slow, Despite the low numbers of people. Overall five star experienceVegetarian options: They did offer salads. I prefer to eat vegan and do so any opportunity I get. Unfortunately there were not any truly vegan options here on my 4/5/2024 visit.”
“Looking for a casual dining experience in downtown Charleston and came upon Coast, which is nestled in an alleyway. We went in and were quickly greeted and sat down. The atmosphere was cool, and there were plenty of date nights happening. I ordered the surf and turf with blackened salmon and ribeye which tasted good. My wife ordered the catch of the day and said it could use more flavor. Old fashioned drink was 8/10.”
“Eli's Table ended up being a real highlight during my recent trip to Charleston. The restaurant has a cozy, inviting vibe that made for a relaxing evening out. Our server Raymond was friendly and attentive without being overbearing - he really enhanced the experience. But let's talk about that filet mignon. I'm usually not one to rave about a steak, but this was something truly special. Each bite was incredibly tender and bursting with rich flavors. I have no idea what they did to prepare it, but it was easily one of the best steaks I've ever had.I highly recommend Eli's table and would give it 10 stars if I could!”
“Virginia's on King was excellent! As visitors to the area they won my award for best fried chicken. Although I'm not a local so you can only trust me so much. But truly everything we had was delicious and hearty. Cooked to perfection and delightfully tasty.Service was quick and staff were kind. The restaurant itself was simple, cozy and clean. I wouldn't hesitate to tell you to go eat here! If you can trust a tourist... Enjoy!!”
“Really enjoyed dining at Well Hung Winery in Charleston. The food is excellent although a little spicy for my wife’s taste. Great wines and cocktails. Love the location.”
“Zero complaints. We read all the reviews and took the advice: she crab soup, shrimp and grits: AMAZING! Bubbles on King for pre-dinner cocktail. You will be in heaven. Maitre d' and staff are super friendly. Fast service on a Friday night. What else could you want? Wow.”
“We only had time for a cocktail and an appetizer, but that's all it took to WOW us with everything! Rae was very welcoming, polished and professional! Cocktails were thoughtfully crafted, and the smoked beef tartare was an experience in and of itself. We'll definitely be back!”
“Food was good and server was terrific. But the meal of another person in our group ordered Grouper and it was mainly breading, so he sent it back for the Flounder.”
“Keyla was so sweet and checked on us several times, bringing more treats from the chef. Beth, the general manager was absolutely incredible. The food was the best we’ve had in Charleston, from the brunch to the cocktails. Hands down our new favorite restaurant!”
“Our experience was fantastic. Our server, Ella, was simply marvelous; knowledgeable, friendly and professional. The homemade pasta was so excellent. Exactly like Grandma's home made pasta and gravy!! Will be back for sure.”
“Went on a Friday afternoon for lunch. It was busy but they are an efficient machine. Food was great and hands down the best sweet tea we had on our trip. Portion sizes were generous. The cornbread was amazing.”

“First time diner, and was extremely impressed! I loved the vibe of this shop as soon as we walked in. The menu is unique, and packed with flavor! Had the porcini rubbed prime rib with mushroom conserva and it was heavenly. We also ordered sides of the rotisserie drippings roasted potatoes which tasted like they were right out of your grandmas best pot of stew, and the cremini mushrooms that were delicious! So happy we found this spot!”
“Just visited this deli for the first time and the food is absolutely excellent. The bread is fresh and the meats were delicious. Very high quality sandwich and I absolutely plan on going back. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. The store is full of various imports so it was fun to browse while I waited for my order. Definitely will be back to try some of their homemade polish sausages. 5/5”
“3 girls on Spring. It's the most amazing food you'll ever eat in your life. Not just only healthy, but good for your health. Your body and soul! Thank you, cousin. Tracy!”
“Went by for pastries for the weekend. Not at all sad about it!! While I truly enjoy good pastries I don't like anything too sweet. I got a pecan bar which was delicious and not sweet as pecan pie- thank goodness! Would get it again. The pop tart was fun. Never cared for those in the store or other bakeries but liked this one. The coffee cake was Devine! I love cinnamon so was excited there was a lot of cinnamon in it. Now, I got a whoopie pie expecting it to be too sweet. Started eating it before I got out of the parking lot and almost went back for more but I had other treats to eat. Thank goodness I don't live nearby! I will be making the drive many more times though! Excellent experience!”
“I LOVE The Bomb Bar! This place is so cute and cozy. It is really beautiful inside, and a great place to hang out to get some work done. The location is extremely convenient and Ive never had an issue with parking even during peak hours (next door to HYLO) Staff is always quick and friendly. The smoothies are fresh and delicious. They add their own house made almond butter and The Bomb Co Blender Bombs which really helps keep me full throughout the day. Also, you can never go wrong with their OG Avocado Toast. Sooo good! Definitely check this place out!”
“Walflin is a FANTASTIC addition to Downtown Charleston. Don't let the location deter you - it shares a shop with an antique store (maybe the same owner?) which is a little odd but I am so happy I tried it. The waffles are incredible and the staff always goes above and beyond. Everyone is so friendly and I can't say enough about the food - SO GOOD! Plus, the waffles are pretty easy to carry around, so no need to eat your dessert inside this antique shop if you don't want - take a stroll down market street while devouring this indulgent dessert!”
“Food quality is top notch! I’ve been a fan of Santis for the longest and very pleased with the new establishment! The margaritas are amazing and the best in Charleston!Highly recommended!”
“Food quality is to be expected but I don’t like the robot that takes your order. For the average person they won’t know how to talk to the robot to get their order correct. Especially since there is no sign in how the robot will expect to take your order. But overall everything was good. Would highly recommend a screen that shows you what you ordered at the very least.”
“We ordered takeout of brisket and Turkey. It is some of the best BBQ I have ever eaten. They gave us a great portion of sauces and fixings. Perfect for multiple hotel meals.”
