“Leon's is literally in my dreams! My boyfriend and I went there for the first time three years ago. It blew our minds! Affordable, delicious food, and such a fun atmosphere. We returned a couple of times on the same trip. We live in NJ... and set up a trip last year JUST to go to Leons. I am actually scared to post a review because I selfishly want to keep it a secret for my boyfriend and I. Man, if you like chicken and oysters... you cannot go wrong. Damn, now I need to set up another trip. :)“

“Simply perfection! The oyster selection is otherworldly. The chargrilled oysters the best Ive had in my life. (Florida born an culinary chef.) The peel & eat shrimp so plump and served ice cold I have craved them since I had them. The service was above and beyond. The atmosphere encouraged private chatter but also conversation with next table easily. Friendly and cheerful and above all excellent food served with smiles, suggestions, and ease. I will never visit Charleston again without making sure to dine here. (Do not eat the soup. I actually sent it back to the kitchen. Never have I had to do that. ) Highly recommend again and again for everything else.“

“Edmund’s Original is one of our favorite restaurants in Charleston. It’s the perfect mix of quality and price, with a team that always makes us feel right at home. I can’t speak highly enough of this place. Whenever someone comes to visit from out of town, we bring them to EO so they can get a taste of what we’re fortunate to enjoy regularly. The food is phenomenal - from the fried chicken to the burger to the steak, and everything in between. The beer selection is top notch. In-house developed cocktails are creative, while the classics are on point if that’s more your speed. The chocolate cake and an espresso martini are the perfect touch to finish it all off! Oh, and don’t sleep on the special events they host! When the chef teams up with other chef’s from around the state, they always deliver a unique and delicious experience!“

“What an amazing place! Went without reservations..told them it was my 70th birthday! Got a great table for 2 in back dining room…food was amazing! Our waiter Brian was the best! When I was disappointed that the didn’t have an apple dessert I wanted he had someone go across the street to get me one with a candle on it! And Josh brought us a glass of champagne… they didn’t know us …just met us.. and treated us to make my night extra special! Try High Cotton you will love it! ( we had the Filet and crab cakes)“

The staff was so friendly to us. I felt like we were under dressed (it was Easter) but no one seemed to judge us for it. As for the food - amazing!!!!! “I am staying here now. The staff is excellent to say the least. But we had some issues with our room when we got here. They did try to accommodate us. They knew it was our anniversary and i am surprised that not even a complimentary dinner or even a bottle of wine was given. This year s not a cheap hotel so when spending this type of money to offer a dinner or a bottle of wine would have been nice.“

“Not much space to eat, but you can order ahead and take to go. We saw that the line ended around 10:45 on a Friday morning so keep that in mind if you are really wanting to make this stop. Food was really good. My daughter, who’s a barista, felt her drink was a little weak, I agree. My iced coffee was good though. We also shared a banana bread that was to die for. I got a turkey sandwich and she got an avocado toast. My sandwich was so big I could have shared it for sure. Worth our wait in line.“

“What a fun place for a girl’s night out. We had prompt and courteous service. The atmosphere was one that made our night special and intimate. The food was outstanding. “Can’t hold back any longer, after this 2nd time visit, I felt to give a full and honest review. If I can rate this higher than 5 stars I would, but I say, the food, the hospitality and atmosphere continue to amaze us. Our server Hannah made sure we knew the specials, the menu and food items before ordering. The fast and friendly service, prompt food service was spot on again. The quality and freshness is evident just by seeing how the food looks but the taste of fresh and wholesome is confirmed with each bite. From the biscuits, the eggs, and Ofcourse the low country comfort food of chicken/waffles & grits were really great and actually better than expected. The house infused Bloody Mary was the perfect brunch addition.
If you are in the Charleston area, this is a must visit. Located just across the street to the Mills House hotel, right off Queen St is the perfect location walkable convenient access from just about any area. Yes they are dog friendly on their porch areas.“

“I would definitely recommend S.N.O.B. for the quality of their food only. My friends and I were there on March 24, 2025, during an unexpected cold snap. We're from Florida and the weather was cold, windy and brutal. The four of us were seated at a table that was almost smack dab in front of the entrance door. Thus, people were constantly coming in and out. The manager should have had enough forethought to not place a table there, let alone sit people there in low fifty degree weather and high winds. We just wanted to get our food and get out.“

Whether it’s a post church lunch, a meal with a new friend, or a quick bite to accompany a downtown expedition, brown dog never disappoints. I am a creature of habit and order the Cardi. “The Pass has expensive sandwiches, but they are absolutely worth the price so we keep going back. Packed with quality meats, cheeses, and condiments, big enough to share, but you won’t want to!
There is very little seating inside, getting the sandwich to go is probably the best option for most people. The Mount Pleasant location has more seating and onsite parking.“

“I love the Pour house so much. It is my favorite place to go in Charleston. I have seen so many of my favorite musicians play here and have also gotten to meet a few of them here too. The deck is the best vibe in the world and the inside shows are fantastic. The sound and lighting are done so well and there is even big fans so it doesn’t get too hot and stuffy even when it is packed especially now that they have two garage doors as well. And you can see and here the music from the deck too. They have thoughtfully upgraded this place over the past 10 years I’ve been going here and they have all been excellent positive changes without changing the vibe. 10/10 for me. Love it here.“

I grabbed 3 diffefent ones but the the firecracker shrimp and fried chicken ones absoluetly stand out and I wish i lived closer. Great service, friendly an attentive staff, and a clean, welcoming environment. Well worth the trip!“
