“I hate fish so I ordered the shrimp and rice, which was delicious, but my husband had the swordfish and talked me into trying it. It was amazing!!We tried all the oysters and they were all so good! And the service was incredible!!Absolutely worth visiting more than once.“
“I was visiting Charleston and met a friend for breakfast at Harbinger. We were there as they opened their doors on a Saturday and there was already a short line. That's a good sign! I had the avocado toast named grasshopper. It was sooo good! I highly recommend this place for its inventive combinations and delicious bread.“
“We both had a drip coffee with room for milk. The oat milk was a very strange consistency and had a weird curdling effect in our coffee. The drip coffee was okay. It was a medium/dark roast and I prefer lighter roasts so it may have just not been the coffee for me.We had a very very delicious cookie. Highly recommend getting something from the pastry case. The food that was coming out looked amazing. We just weren’t looking to eat at that time. We do plan on visiting again to try food. The actual place is unique inside and has a nice vibe to it. The bathroom is clean and decorated with the cutest posters of plant and fungi anatomy. There are not very many seats but we were still able to get one. They also have seating outside which does compensate for not having that much inside. The girl that helped us at the counter was so sweet and friendly. We look forward to coming here again in the future to try other things.“
“When you are a local in this town it's always tough to find somewhere to feel at home and loved. There are so many options to choose from and so many places don't care about customer relations. Kudu is not one of them. They all smile when i walk in, greet me with a hello and even better i can tell they all like and appreciate one another. It does feel like home and i do feel loved.“
“I wish I were a Charleston local to have this coffee shop nearby! My friends and I visited this place three times during our Spring Break! The owners are so kind and welcoming and the coffee is amazing! I got an iced brown sugar latte with oat milk and it was amazing! Highly recommend!“
“The owner/staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. The drinks were huge and expensive. Mine watermelon cucumber would have been amazing but it was so sweet tasting I couldn’t drink it. It’s a great concept… wish prices were a little more reasonable $11 per drink are steep and the add ins make it crazy lol. We def want to go back and support local but possibly see if we can lessen the sweetness of the drinks.“
“We are tourist this week. We're tagging along on my husband's work trip. My daughter wanted an iced coffee. We came across the shop in our morning adventuring. We ordered an iced coffee make with almond milk and vanilla syrup. She would not stop going on how good her drink was! Thanks for thr great coffee!“
“What a WONDERFUL Restaurant!! We enjoyed a Delicious Brunch recently at East Bay Meeting House. Food was OUTSTANDING, Staff was ENGAGING, HELPFUL and FRIENDLY. This restaurant is truly a Great Experience for all, we look forward to returning in the near future.“
“First time in. They had a large variety of muffins, cookies, pies and pastries. I was greeted immediately. Lots of seating. Kind of a funky little place. I ended up getting a delicious key lime pie. Also got a gingerbread cookie which I loved the frosting but all the sprinkled sugar was overpowering. It would have been perfect without the extra sugar.“
“The best place to get coffee in Charleston. The coffee is obviously outstanding, but the atmosphere, retail (the coziest sweater I own is from Sightsee!), community events, and super kind owners and staff all make this a truly special place.“
“The best ice cream in Charleston!! We eat here once a week (at least) and it never misses. They constantly rotate the flavors so there’s always something new to try. Friendly staff and great vibes. Just be prepared to stand in lines, especially when the weather warms up.“
“Simple, counter order cafe with some seriously delicious food. The breakfast tacos were some of the best we’ve ever had, the burrito is great with the hot sauce, and the pancakes are a must (ask them to warm up the syrup though no one wants cold syrup). The menu is extensive and had tons of great options, it was hard for us to narrow down to three choices. Highly recommend!“
“Had to wait in a short line, but the owner let us know right away. I loved the transparency. It was a cool spot to hangout in and watch the nitrogen ice cream being made right in front of our eyes. The ice cream was to die for! I can’t wait to come back!“
“I loved everything about our experience at this coffee shop. Their coffee and treats were delicious and the service was outstanding! Our barista was celebrating 5 years with the coffee shop!!! I stumbled on this coffee shop thanks to the high Yelp reviews, little did I know I would have a wonderful story to tell and business to recommend to others!! I whole heartedly believe in their mission and can't wait to be back in Charleston to get more coffee and merchandise!! Best coffee shop experience in my lifetime!!!“
“Can't beat a double espresso for under $3. $2.50, in fact, which is why we went (and why we went a second time later that day) . Staff is friendly and unpretentious, along with the rest of the vibe. Bagel sandwiches looked amazing. Clean bathrooms and great outdoor seating, too. An amazing find! I hope they keep it real.“
“I love The Daily! I have tried the breakfast sandwich, avocado toast and latte so far and all have been excellent. You order at the counter and find a seat (or take it to go). It is a small place so there is not a ton of seating inside. They do have some outside seating when the weather is nice. Definitely recommend for breakfast or lunch!“
“So happy to have this shop in West Ashley. Their baguettes in croissants are such a treat and not that I’m an expert, but seem true to European standards, if not better than my memories. As expected at the end of the the day they were out of most pastries, so I grabbed a coffee cake and simple egg & cheese on baguette. My 2 yr old was getting fussy, so as was going to tell him I have to go to the car, the kind cook read my mind. He offered to bring it to me. Simplicity made heavenly. I haven’t tried the coffee cake yet bc my daughter hasn’t let me have a bite. Lol looks delicious tho!“
“The people who work there are THE kindest, most professional and friendly people. The coffee is delicious and I can get flavors in my latte and it’s never too sweet. The smoothies are too sweet but that’s not a bad thing for most of us :) the bean selection is top tier. My church also loves this coffee and always uses their coffee. The decaf I had at an evening church event from CCE was the most delicious and comforting decaf I’ve ever ever had. I’m seriously considering switching to their decaf more and more to heal my caffeine addiction :D“
“The ambiance afforded @ Blum compliments the vibe this location has! They've curated an incredible collection of wines and hand-crafted coffee drinks. Their sommelier possesses much knowledge about the wines they serve and relishes sharing that knowledge to educate clientele. The coffee bar has so many flavors & concoctions that I've never found elsewhere.Blum is not your ordinary wine/cofee bar. This is a great space, comfortable enough to pop in to do work, yet trendy enough to entertain. It is now my favorite downtown coffee shop and unofficially my 2nd office.Do yourself a favor and visit ~ you're welcome!!!Parking: This is one of the few places downtown where parking is always a non-issue!Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome here, there were 2 families with children present while we were there.“
“The only issue was the parking. The inside is bigger than it looks from the outside. There inside and outside seating. The smoothie bowl had a different taste because of the natural ingredients. My order was incorrect, and I did not say anything because I was rushing. The staff was friendly. I would go back to try more items when I am not rushing. This place is definitely a gem.“
“Best coffee shop around. First of all, the coffee is high quality and tasty, & the size of the large, medium, and small actuality is that. So many local places offer a medium/large and its tiny as can be or they only have one size and it's small but the price reflects a large size (Huriyali etc) It's nice during these days of shrinkflation to actually get what you pay for and on point in taste/quality. The staff is always friendly and efficient. ❤️“
“Really liked the relaxed atmosphere of the cafe. Service was pretty quick. Bit confusing where to order because people were standing around waiting for their order. I ordered sticky bun pastry and a latte. The sticky bun had lots of pecans. Really buttery and flaky. Very large so I had a hard time eating it all but I powered through because it was so delicious! Latte was as I expected. This is a great place to stop while checking out the museums in downtown Charleston. Cafe is attached to Mills House Hotel.“
“A staple and favorite in Charleston! Best tempeh bacon I have ever had.Vegetarian options: Tempeh bacon, tofu, salads, burrito, smoothies, tons of vegan optionsDietary restrictions: Tons of vegan optionsParking: Small free lot, but mostly must park on street (free)“
“I come here as often as I can to either get the chai or matcha tea. It is amazing along with their customer service, they always make you feel welcomed. I don't even like most vegetables but their Veggie Panini changed my mind. Maccaro is also a great place to sit down and study, they encourage it!“
“Pastries are delightful! Cute assortment of desserts that are indulgent and not too sweet. One star off bc seating is tight so you have to hover and wait for ppl to leave a table. We went at 5pm when Google said it was "less busy than usual" and we still had to wait about 15 mins on line to order, another 5 mins to get our food and drinks, and the whole time there were no extra seats. We then had to hover around holding hot coffee and tea mugs with a plate & fork of dessert.“
“Solid coffee at a reasonable price which was surprising given it is located in Charleston Place. The iced latte was smooth and creamy and very enjoyable. My wife enjoyed the iced americano which I noticed they topped off with bottled Fiji water (wow). Service can be a bit slow but it's to be expected when your coffee is well made.“
“My roommates and I got our nails done around the corner and when we were walking by, we decided to head in… Although they closed 15 minutes prior to us coming in, they were more than happy to serve us! They gave us a free box of donuts to try each flavor… I will definitely be back! everyone was so nice and welcoming. We are so excited to try it again!!! Everything was amazing and fresh ?“
“Very cute and cozy coffee shop. I frequent the one in West Ashley where the baristas make excellent cups of coffees and have great seasonal drinks. So far I loved the fall sweet potatoe latte and now the winter special of peppermint mocha. Their coffee art is on point!“
“Ran over the other day right before close, had no idea what to order and couldn’t read menu, the print was a tad small. Young man working the register ran through all their offerings and welcomed us to sit and eat inside even after their business hours. Absolutely recommend if you are around the hospital area.“
“I have had my fair share of good (and bad) coffee and avocado toast over the years, but I cannot tell you how many light years ahead their coffee and avocado toast is beyond the best of the best! I’m not a foodie so it takes a lot to make me write a review about food but holy moly, this place deserves a shout out. 10 of 10! Delicious!“
“This may be the best coffee around. The iced cold brew latte is perfection with smooth and strong coffee, coffee ice cubes!!, and perfect amount of sweetness (not overly sweet :)Not to mention the breakfast bagel sandwich, which is deeelishhhh!!“
“I’ve been in many coffee shops around my life, but there’s something about Clerks that just makes it THE place to go for coffee in Charleston.Baristas are super nice! Specially Haley, that day I couldn’t tip (money’s running low) but she was still so nice! Came the next month to tip her double for the same incredible coffee!Cannot recommend this place enough! 10/10“
“Upon entering Duck Donuts, the warm, sweet aroma of freshly baked donuts immediately greets you, hinting at the delightful experience that awaits. The donuts are not just treats; they are crafted masterpieces, each with a unique, mouth-watering appeal. The image showcases a box of six exquisite donuts, each one looking like a work of art too tempting to resist. The first donut is dressed in a soft pink glaze, sprinkled with a golden crumb that offers a textural contrast to its fluffy base, suggesting a flavor that's both buttery and sweet, reminiscent of a strawberry shortcake. The middle one is a playful twist on classic flavors, with a purple glaze that hints at a berry infusion, adorned with a yellow drizzle that might whisper of lemon or perhaps a tangy contrast. The third donut, enveloped in a rich chocolate glaze and topped with a generous crumble, promises a nostalgic and indulgent dive into a classic combination of textures and flavors.Duck Donuts specializes in made-to-order donuts, allowing customers the joy of customizing their treats. From the glaze to the toppings, the options are plentiful, ensuring every donut lover leaves satisfied. The donuts' fresh and airy texture serves as the perfect canvas for the various toppings and glazes that meld into a harmonious delight upon every bite. The attention to detail in each donut is evident, from the artfully applied glaze to the perfectly placed toppings. Whether you're a fan of classic flavors or in search of a unique combination, Duck Donuts is a culinary adventure that invites you to indulge in the sweetness of life, one delectable donut at a time.“
“Love the drinks here, especially the Peach Smoothie with protein. Customer Service is always amazing. Can't wait to learn more about all they have to offer. I'm the mail carrier on this route and this is my "Go-To" healthy lunch option. The shakes are very filling!!!“
“What a great little find. Extremely friendly and courteous and the coffee was delicious. The decor is very comfortable and has a very nice 'soft' 'calm' feeling about it. It took me by surprise actually as it's in a strip mall and I was expecting just a generic coffee shop. Whoever designed it and runs it....well done!“
“Dang - I wish I would have found this place earlier!Really great tap list and killer singles selection - if you're a craft beer person, make this a must visit in Charleston! Chris was super nice and helpful and his little foster puppy in the shop was the goodest boy. Thanks for the tasty beers!“
“We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The drinks, food, service and overall vibe were as welcoming and down-to-earth as I’ve always had in NY. Our server Leah was patient, suggested great drinks, and the owner (Bryn) herself was running with the team. I had to let her know how amazing everything was and that I can’t wait to become a regular! The decor and creative ambiance will keep you entertained as well as the upbeat and dynamic music selection. We tasted about half the menu, but held back in anticipation of our next visit. Don’t miss this gem of the city…you won’t forget it!Parking: Adjacent to the restaurant. Perfect location!“
“Went today for the first time. Tried the breakfast wrap, I wasn’t sure about fresh spinach and onions in a wrap, but it was great! The avacado was a great touch! A little pricy imo, but then again what is’t ??♂️.Nothing special about the drip coffee, but it is relatively cheap compared to other stores so that’s a plus.It would be a great place to study, read or have a small meeting. The employee was very nice, recognized it was my first time, and provided me with additional information about the store, ie curb side pick up.“
“Cute coffee shop in a space connected to a vape shop. They have both indoor and outdoor seating available. The book nook was my favorite! This is the perfect place to get a coffee and get work done or read a book! I highly recommend the honey lavender iced latte. It was perfect.“
“Love this place! I come to get a treat haha. I've had the chocolate & crème croissant and the apple croissant. The chocolate was very good. I'm a chocoholic so I just wish there was more inside! The apple croissant was so so good! The apple filling was just the right amount of sweet and the croissant was so buttery and flaky. The service is great, it's very calm and welcoming inside with the French music softly playing. It's a great place to hang out or do work.“
“love this coffee shop. I always come here to drink affogato - espresso with a scoop of ice cream. The cappuccino here is excellent! but it is worth warning that the cup contains double espresso and the drink is quite strong. but they take great photos here! Lots of choices, craft drinks available. lovely, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. I recommend!“
“Such a great idea! So happy there’s an amazing cafe and wine bar out there with cats from shelters to give love to and adopt! The staff are very friendly and nice to talk to, great place overall! We need more places like this around to help cats find their home and to have a space to roam and be loved onin replacement to them being in a small kennel at a animal shelter“
“Very high quality lattes, we had the iced honey lavender and the hot vanilla lattes. The syrups are delicious house made and not overly sweet like many, which makes it. Really nice atmosphere with a quiet space to talk or work. Will definitely be back.“
“This authentic quaint French bakery with peaceful outdoor seating has freshly baked croissants, pastries, and French imported jams, mustard, etc. The baker kindly allowed us to take a short video of the interior, as long as he was not in it. The cinnamon pastry was buttery and delicious but a bit heavy. They did not have beignets. The almond croissant was flaky and better than any that I've had in Charleston, but none that I've had could compare with French Memories Bakery from our locality. Only two customers are allowed in the bakery at a time.“
“Love this place! They do a build your own breakfast sandwich. I get bacon, a fried egg, and cheese on a croissant. Probably my favorite breakfast sandwich in town. Drinks are also always good.A lot of people like to sit and work, so seating can be limited. Parking is easy. There is a lot out front with free spots for those dining/shopping.“
“Very cool coffee place. The location was great by Charleston College and King St. Yummy desserts and snacks. Wasn't a big fan of my coffee selection. It was a little bitter and had to dump. Sorry ?Perhaps it wasn't my type of coffee.“
“Great way to get a pick me up after dinner. Stopped in to get a couple double espresso shots ☕ to wake up for round two of the weekend. Conveniently located around the corner from the Fleet Landing before we hit King Street for a Charleston night out! ?“
“I liked this place. They have really good homemade "pop tarts". The berry filling and icing were so good, make sure you ask for it warmed up. I got their honey latte and it was pretty good. I had never tried one before but liked it. My friend got the s'mores latte and she really liked it. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and lots of parking.“
“Great coffee, good enough service and a clean restroom. Can't really ask for more. The only thing that ticked me off was the auto gratuity starting at 25%. The owners need to just pay their people more and quit the archaic tipping scheme.“
“Went for breakfast and got a Cuban breakfast sandwich with ham and a cafe con leche and it was absolutely delicious! Love the plants in the window and the bird of paradise wallpaper. Great place for a quick bite before sightseeing in the city!“
