“We visited Mount Pleasant on vacation this year and this spot is new since we were last there in 2024. We were so glad we stopped in for lunch. The woman that waited on us (6/18 during the thunderstorm) was so sweet and made such a positive and sweet impact on us even giving our kids shells as we left. The food and the space were both top notch. I highly recommend stopping in and grabbing coffee and food!“

“The Washington Cafe is seriously a whole vibe 🤎 My latte was so good, and our treats were amazing too—everything just felt fresh, intentional, and made with care. But what really stood out to me was the atmosphere. The space is beautiful, peaceful, and full of culture. It’s one of those places you walk into and instantly feel at ease. “Best coffee in Charleston! It’s delicious, smooth and wakes you up! Many of the newer shops popping up have very bitter coffee. You can tell the coffee at cooper river is carefully sourced and the owner is very knowledgeable! When we go in, it’s one person making the drinks (owner?) and you can tell its quality over volume. 10/10 recommend!“

“I’m a regular and honestly this last review doesn’t sound like the place I know. It’s pretty common for it to go from empty to busy in a matter of minutes.

I’ve never had anyone be rude to me here, and my drinks have always been solid. If something was wrong, they’ve always been willing to fix it.

“My husband got the mint chocolate chip frappe and LOVED it! And he’s picky! I got the iced dirty chai tea latte with cold foam and I’ve had many before, and it was not great. Tasted like cinnamon watered down milk and didn’t get cold foam at all so wasn’t too thrilled given the price I paid for it.“

“I was a little nervous to eat here because of the reviews of long wait times on the weekend. My husband, toddler and I went for brunch of a Saturday. It was very busy in the cafe and we waited in line about 10 minutes. Not terrible for how busy it was. We went and sat down outside and I was super excited for the playground so my son could run around and explore. The food arrived less than 15 minutes later. The restroom was clean and stocked well. It included a change table as well which is a huge plus for parents. The food was delicious. Fair price for reasonable portions. The coffee was also really good and I’m picky about coffee. I would highly recommend and plan to go back to check out the owners other restaurants and stores.“

“Made the stop while visiting on Easter Break. I love that the ingredients are locally sourced and the variety of flavors were not overwhelming, but hit all the marks. I ordered a small with 2 flavors, coffee & olive oil sea salt. It was spectacular! There were a few people dining in at the high tops, but mostly customers ordered and walked out. It was $7 for a small $9 medium. My young children opted to get cones down the street rather than Gelato since they only offered the cups.“

“I go to this Starbucks every morning since it opened- the amazing staff is what sets it apart from other locations. Despite how extraordinarily busy they always seem to be- the staff remains unwaveringly friendly, professional and always prepares my morning coffee quickly. “Ordered a Grande Salted Caramel Cream Cold Brew. The line wasn’t long, the wait wasn’t long, and was not expensive compared to other Starbucks I’ve been to. The drink came out with 3/4 foam on the top which was only 1/4 cold brew. Pretty lopsided for my taste and not what I would expect with the typical quality control of Starbucks drinks.“

“Stopped in for some quick coffee. The location has limited parking available and limited seating. This is a very small location and is next to an auto shop which appears to utilize many of the nearby spaces. When I arrived to pick up the coffee I ordered there were no available spaces upfront. I had to drive around the back and park behind the auto shop. I would recommend using the drive through if you are near this location. I like enjoying a coffee indoors so I will just utilize one of the larger locations going forward.“

“Love this place but PLS SOMEONE TEACH HOW TO MAKE BANANA BREAD MATCHA!! I love it so much (and i don't even rlly like matcha usually) but every single time i order it it's like slightly different like with cinnamon or without or with banana or with A LOT of banana (which is my favorite) and the most recent has like no banana at all and a lot more cinnamon than usually SO PLS FOR THE LOVE OF GOD I'd appreciate if we figured out how it's actually meant to be made or the best way to make it because I really just want some consistency (i like almost all of the versions but STILL i want to know what to expect when I order it yk)“
