“The Washington Cafe is seriously a whole vibe 🤎 My latte was so good, and our treats were amazing too—everything just felt fresh, intentional, and made with care. But what really stood out to me was the atmosphere. The space is beautiful, peaceful, and full of culture. It’s one of those places you walk into and instantly feel at ease. Huge shoutout to Peter Washington III for creating something so special—you can truly feel the heart behind it. If you’re in the Charleston/Mount Pleasant area, definitely stop by. I’ll for sure be back ✨“

“Best coffee in Charleston! It’s delicious, smooth and wakes you up! Many of the newer shops popping up have very bitter coffee. You can tell the coffee at cooper river is carefully sourced and the owner is very knowledgeable! When we go in, it’s one person making the drinks (owner?) and you can tell its quality over volume. 10/10 recommend!“

“I’m a regular and honestly this last review doesn’t sound like the place I know. It’s pretty common for it to go from empty to busy in a matter of minutes.
I’ve never had anyone be rude to me here, and my drinks have always been solid. If something was wrong, they’ve always been willing to fix it.
Just sharing another perspective since this felt a bit exaggerated.“

“My husband got the mint chocolate chip frappe and LOVED it! And he’s picky! I got the iced dirty chai tea latte with cold foam and I’ve had many before, and it was not great. Tasted like cinnamon watered down milk and didn’t get cold foam at all so wasn’t too thrilled given the price I paid for it.“

“My family & I were visiting flthis area from West Virginia. We wanted a good last breakfast before leaving & picked this place and we are SO happy we did! Upon arriving, I asked the staff for recommendations on what to order. Every single person working there was so kind, welcoming, and incredibly helpful! They gave me the best recommendations and were more than happy to help me with food recommendations and drinks.
I also asked if they could put a little heart in my coffee because I'd never had latte art before, and they happily did. It absolutely made my day. It was so cute! 🥐☕
The chocolate croissant was to die for, and the breakfast burrito was just as amazing. Everything we had was delicious.
The atmosphere is what really sets this place apart. The outdoor seating is beautiful, peaceful, and enchanting. As dog owners, we also loved that they're dog-friendly!
If you're in the area, this place is an ABSOLUTE must-visit. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the Mount Pleasant area!!! 🩷“

“I go to this Starbucks every morning since it opened- the amazing staff is what sets it apart from other locations. Despite how extraordinarily busy they always seem to be- the staff remains unwaveringly friendly, professional and always prepares my morning coffee quickly. Sky is a delight to see in the morning and always greets me warmly.“

“Loved this little coffee shop out in Mt. Pleasant. It was so inviting and the decor was so cute. I loved that they offered a GF cookie so I had to snag one for my husband who has celiac. They did an excellent job with my cortado and the service was very quick. We sat outside and enjoyed our coffees.“
“Ordered a Grande Salted Caramel Cream Cold Brew. The line wasn’t long, the wait wasn’t long, and was not expensive compared to other Starbucks I’ve been to. The drink came out with 3/4 foam on the top which was only 1/4 cold brew. Pretty lopsided for my taste and not what I would expect with the typical quality control of Starbucks drinks.“

“I ride over to this location when I’m not on the road for work. The coffee is nice and the workers are friendly and efficient. They almost remember my order whenever I come in so that’s always fun. Great place to read or get work done while not being too hectic.“

“Stopped in for some quick coffee. The location has limited parking available and limited seating. This is a very small location and is next to an auto shop which appears to utilize many of the nearby spaces. When I arrived to pick up the coffee I ordered there were no available spaces upfront. I had to drive around the back and park behind the auto shop. I would recommend using the drive through if you are near this location. I like enjoying a coffee indoors so I will just utilize one of the larger locations going forward.“

“We visited Mount Pleasant on vacation this year and this spot is new since we were last there in 2024. We were so glad we stopped in for lunch. The woman that waited on us (6/18 during the thunderstorm) was so sweet and made such a positive and sweet impact on us even giving our kids shells as we left. The food and the space were both top notch. I highly recommend stopping in and grabbing coffee and food!“
