“Great locally owned coffee shop with coffee and lattes selection along with some breakfast food options. The food is fresh and flavorful. I ordered a matcha latte that was good but could have had a little bit more flavor. I'll definitely come back when I'm in the area!“

“The Washington Cafe is seriously a whole vibe 🤎 My latte was so good, and our treats were amazing too—everything just felt fresh, intentional, and made with care. But what really stood out to me was the atmosphere. The space is beautiful, peaceful, and full of culture. It’s one of those places you walk into and instantly feel at ease. Huge shoutout to Peter Washington III for creating something so special—you can truly feel the heart behind it. If you’re in the Charleston/Mount Pleasant area, definitely stop by. You can tell the coffee at cooper river is carefully sourced and the owner is very knowledgeable! When we go in, it’s one person making the drinks (owner?) and you can tell its quality over volume. 10/10 recommend!“

“I’m a regular and honestly this last review doesn’t sound like the place I know. It’s pretty common for it to go from empty to busy in a matter of minutes.

I’ve never had anyone be rude to me here, and my drinks have always been solid. If something was wrong, they’ve always been willing to fix it.

“My husband got the mint chocolate chip frappe and LOVED it! And he’s picky! I got the iced dirty chai tea latte with cold foam and I’ve had many before, and it was not great. Tasted like cinnamon watered down milk and didn’t get cold foam at all so wasn’t too thrilled given the price I paid for it.“

“If you are in the Charleston area and looking for a place that absolutely SLAPS, please go here. It was so good we went TWICE on our girls trip. I got lunch one day and brunch the next. So soooo good. I still dream about it. Alec (who I think was maybe the owner?? manager??) was SO kind. I just so happened to be there on my 30th birthday - which was also Bodega’s 2nd birthday. Alec brought over champagne, juices, and homemade treats (on the house!!) for us to celebrate. Seriously, so generous - we couldn’t stop talking about how nice it was. I can’t recommend this place enough - I wish I could give it 100 stars.“

“I was a little nervous to eat here because of the reviews of long wait times on the weekend. My husband, toddler and I went for brunch of a Saturday. It was very busy in the cafe and we waited in line about 10 minutes. Not terrible for how busy it was. We went and sat down outside and I was super excited for the playground so my son could run around and explore. The food arrived less than 15 minutes later. The restroom was clean and stocked well. It included a change table as well which is a huge plus for parents. The food was delicious. Fair price for reasonable portions. The coffee was also really good and I’m picky about coffee. I would highly recommend and plan to go back to check out the owners other restaurants and stores.“

“I go to this Starbucks every morning since it opened- the amazing staff is what sets it apart from other locations. Despite how extraordinarily busy they always seem to be- the staff remains unwaveringly friendly, professional and always prepares my morning coffee quickly. “Ordered a Grande Salted Caramel Cream Cold Brew. The line wasn’t long, the wait wasn’t long, and was not expensive compared to other Starbucks I’ve been to. The drink came out with 3/4 foam on the top which was only 1/4 cold brew. Pretty lopsided for my taste and not what I would expect with the typical quality control of Starbucks drinks.“

“I ride over to this location when I’m not on the road for work. The coffee is nice and the workers are friendly and efficient. They almost remember my order whenever I come in so that’s always fun. Great place to read or get work done while not being too hectic.“

“I came in today shortly after a mobile order and the barista calling out drinks on hot bar was ON TOP of it. She followed up with my order (which wasn’t even taking long, she checked for it unprompted). Anyway, having worked at Starbucks in college I know how hard the morning rush can be and I wanted to say this Starbucks is killing it.“

“Monday morning - no drive through, but it was VERY busy but their staff was killin it. Elliot helped us at the counter, while pouring coffee and preparing the orders for food. We waited maybe 5 mins and I was impressed with how they worked because there were so many drink and togo orders. Great job 👏🏽“
