I’ve been loving second state !❤️ It is so amazing🤩 to have a company so obviously passionate about coffee! Right here in Charleston. They are bringing in some wonderful beans 👍and I’ve been really enjoying them! & having fun experimenting with some of their Ethiopians for espresso. I am so sick and tired of Starbucks! and how typically their brewed coffee no matter if you get the dark ,medium or light roast, is all too smoky. I visited this cafe as I work for Carnival and Charleston is our current homeport. I enjoyed the coffee so much that I stocked up on the beans and brought them back to the UK for my family to enjoy. Thank you!
The local chain coffee for Charleston, but that shouldn't diminish their reputation. It is similar or cheaper in pricing to Starbucks while being locally owned and operated. Quality is better as well. Food options vary, but haven't had a bad option yet. Not all locations have a kitchen, but this one does.

Second State Coffee offers a cozy atmosphere with great coffee and delicious food options. The coffee is fantastic and high quality, including light roast, cold brew, drip, pour overs, and espresso drinks. They also serve top tier iced teas, with lots of options brewed to order from loose leaf. The service is nice and helpful, with very friendly folks. The sweet potato latte is highly praised and they have some fun seasonal drinks. While it can be very busy and is not a great hang out spot, some seating is available. Customers enjoy the ambiance, making it a great spot to enjoy a coffee or meal.
