“I was visiting my daughter in Charleston and we had dinner, the drink menu had great choices and I particularly enjoyed the Gold Rush, the crab stuffed cannoli appetizer was the perfect starter before the outstanding ribeyes we both had! The real star of the show here is the Assistant Manager Jacqueline, she was very accommodating and her smile and pleasant demeanor made you feel right at home. I will be back every visit to Charleston in the future, well done👏🏻”

“Consistently wonderful! One of my favorite restaurants east of the Cooper. Nicole was our server and she was absolutely amazing.”
“The best Indian food in the area! So delicious! Super safe for people with food allergies. I am gluten- and dairy-free and have always been safe eating here. We love it here!”

“My friend and I hadn’t seen each other in a very long time. I suggested having dinner at Taverna since Philosophia and Taverna are my favorite restaurants in Mount Pleasant.. My friend was so excited because she hadn’t been there before and I told her,”you will not be disappointed.” Justin, one of the owners, greeted me at the door with a big welcome back as I had been away for three months in New Jersey. I introduced him to my friend Brantlee, and she told him she was very excited to try the food since she loved the food at Philosophia. We started with an appetizer of Kataifi Shrimp, which Justin suggested for Brantlee and I ordered half a dozen delicious oysters. She loved the shrimp and couldn’t wait for the entrée. Brantlee ordered the Tagliatelle which was absolutely scrumptious and I ordered the seared scallops, which are always the best. I was so happy to see my friend enjoy the incredible food and attention that the staff and Justin always provides. We finished the night off with a delicious dessert that Justin sent to the table as a courtesy. How much better can it get? Once again, I can’t say enough good things about Justin and Dimitri, both owners work so hard to delight their customers. Thank you, Justin for a wonderful evening for my friend and I. ❤️”

“We hosted our daughter and son in law's wedding dinner reception. We live in Virginia and planning this event from two states away was daunting, but Eli made planning flawless and easy, answering every nervous mother of the bride question promptly with so much interest and attention to detail. We had some food allergies that were handled with ease. The food was delicious, the private dining area was perfect, the patio cozy. The service was impeccable. This was such a memorable experience from planning to the bride and groom's send off. Perfect in every way!”

“Mt Pleasant has a REAL Italian restaurant. The food is authentic tasty and cooked to perfection. I felt like my family & I were back in Italy w great Italian food. You can taste the love that this restaurant has for their food & their customers. The service was impecable and out waiter Jim was very attentative. My family is from NY, FL,SC and we all enjoyed a taste from Italia.”
“This is another great place to eat small shopping there for years, food, grapes shrimps, voluptuous, it was so good, I'll eat there again and again. The burgers are good fish is good. You also have dinners, it's really good. Check them out and very friendly. She even cooked food for me to eat for lunch when I when they was closed, yeah, I forever love this place, I'll give you a 10 stars.n”
“I had high hopes for this restaurant as this was my first visit here. As you approach it from the outside it is very nondescript with tinted windows. It is a bit off to the side and down a small road which opens to a few places of business. Once you open the door you enter into a beautiful dining room with a glass hostess stand and well appointed tables and chairs. The lights appear to be a blown glass with led lights in them and they give a really nice appearance. We had made a reservation and they had a nice corner table waiting for us. Initially the service was excellent. One server came immediately and gave us water and a few minutes later the primary waitress came to ask for our drink order. We were ready to place our order and selected the raviolo al uovo, something I have never tried before. It was one ravioli about 2 inches in diameter with mushrooms, a nice ricotta cheese filling, egg yolk, and brown butter. While not listed on the menu it seemed to be topped with pancetta, something I don’t eat. This should be listed on the menu.
The appetizer was quite good and was served very quickly. Almost as quickly as we finished it a young man came and immediately cleared the small plates and silverware, replacing it with new silverware; something many restaurants no longer do.
The food seemed to take a short while but since we already had an app we just enjoyed people watching. When the entrees came out my wife and I noticed the nice presentation and the good portion size. I had chicken parmesan and she had beef bolognese tagliatelle. While both dishes were ample portions the chicken parm was a bit overcooked. It had a light coating which seemed to be egg based. When you cut into it the coating separated from the chicken and fell to the side. This is not common with this dish. The coating was a bit overcooked and dark. The bucatini was as is typical al dente. I was looking for more flavor from this dish however. The marinara sauce was quite light and I requested pepper flakes and parmesan. They give you ample portions of both.
My wife’s beef tagliatelle was much more flavorful and richer in taste. We always like to switch meals half way through so we can each try different things. She liked my bucatini and I enjoyed her tagliatelle more. It was very light and had a nice flavor to it. This dish had a lot more creativity to it than the chicken parmesan.
The service was quite good throughout but did seem to slow down once our entrees came. I had to ask for ice tea a couple of times. Here is where it gets a bit strange. We enjoyed our meals and when the bill came I was shocked to see a charge for 3 unsweetened ice teas. I travel all over the world and I don’t recall ever seeing something like this. I thought maybe it was a mistake. The waitress told us they have to key it in each time they get a new glass and there is no way to ring it up without a charge. She claimed they make it in small batches from scratch. I am unaware of how you make ice tea any other way. Being charged $9 for unsweet tea in a glass that is 50% ice (appreciated since it is very hot out) just does not make sense. Most restaurants today charge $3 - $4 for tea. If for some reason you need to charge more for it charge $5 but to charge $9 for unsweetened tea makes no sense.
The owners have clearly put a lot of thought and effort into the restaurant layout and atmosphere. I would recommend making a change when it comes to the tea. It was not listed on the main menu and we can’t find it online on the drinks menu. Since we don’t drink alcohol we did not open that menu and usually you don’t find soft drinks or tea on an alcohol menu anyway.
I wish them continued success but doubt I would return.”
“Another delicious meal drove from Conway to have a slamming burger 🍔 absolutely one of the best burgers around! You will not be disappointed!”

“I don’t even know where to begin to describe how amazing Ty’s was… my fiancé and I stopped in here with my parents on day 1 of our trip to the area and it did not disappoint whatsoever. From the apps to the dessert, all of our choices were a 10/10!! Our waiter Scott was the best, he alone deserves 5 gold stars! ⭐️ we were even lucky enough to meet Ty and found out we were at the “magic table” that earned us dessert on the house!! Now whether you’re lucky enough to get the magic table or not, you CANNOT pass on the churros!!”
“Amazing food. Probably the best old fashioned I’ve had. Our server was awesome and so was the manager. My steak was over cooked and they insisted they get me a new one. The one they brought back out was probably the best steak I’ve had in Charleston. We will be back!”
“We've driven by Burtons a thousand times and never stopped. Then we actually moved to Mt. Pleasant and live close to the restaurant. We have become regulars there.....food is delicious, staff is friendly and service is great. Whether you sit at the bar or bring your family to the table, everything is consistent and delicious!”
“Amazing experience! My husband and I heard this restaurant was coming to North Mt Pleasant. Decided to head that way tonight and we were pleasantly surprised!!! We had the whipped cheese with honey and rosemary focaccia, pizza special and the chicken gnocchi. All were amazing! And a delicious bottle of Cabernet! Perfect date night!”

“Service is hit or miss with this location. Food is normally good. Prices at IHOP have been slowly creeping up to where dinner here is often more expensive then a Applebees or TGIF type of restaurant.
Update: they no longer have the patty melt of the big chicken tender salad. But they did bring back the eggs Benedict. Bench seats have lost their cushion. Im betting they are at least 20 years old.”

“Great good great environment and great staff! Best Bistro I’ve experienced !!!”

“Gah! This place was so delish! The guy at the checkout was helpful in helping us make a decision. My husband and I both loved our sandwiches, BUT we kicked off our meal with a cheesecake cone and I’ll dream about that treat until I can eat it again. I look forward to grabbing their take and bake meals soon. Definitely worth swinging by! So great!”
“First time trying them out, but definitely will not be the last. You get your moneys worth and more here!! If you leave hungry it’s your own fault. The chili hamburger was messy but oh so good! The fries were the crispiest crinkle cut fries I’ve ever had. (I normally don’t like crinkle cut fries as they are never crisp enough for me. ) I give them a five star rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“this place is a vibe, and the foood is delicious. But what really made this experience special was the outstanding customer service. Our server Allen was incredible and the owner Alec went above and beyond for us!! Would recommend this place to anyone and everyone”

“The best wine bar in Charleston! All of the wines are self-serve, so you can get a taste, half glass or full glass, and they rotate them often (so lots of new stuff to try). Cheese and charcuterie are all delicious with terrific portions compared to what you get elsewhere in the area. 5/5-Could not recommend more!”

“We were in Mount Pleasant for a birthday weekend and stumbled upon Lola's for its close proximity to where we were staying. The food and service were exceptional. I had the veg risotto which did not disappoint. Our server Ari S. was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and was perfect in every way he took care of the four of us. We will definitely return to Lola's again.”
“What Amazing food...everything was fresh, plating was perfect and a very clean place!”
“My husband got the mint chocolate chip frappe and LOVED it! And he’s picky! I got the iced dirty chai tea latte with cold foam and I’ve had many before, and it was not great. Tasted like cinnamon watered down milk and didn’t get cold foam at all so wasn’t too thrilled given the price I paid for it.”
“I love this place so much. My fat ass would come in here almost daily while during lunch breaks. We're not even suppose to leave school campus at Wando for lunch, but this place is so good I left damn near every day. The owner is super sweet the kindest lady ever. One time, one of them messed up my order and I didn't even care, I would've paid for it, but they gave it to me for free AND remade it for me. They're the best people ever. Anyone who doesn't give them 5 stars is probably just miserable. Thank you for carrying my lunch breaks while I was at Wando. I love you guys my second family. I can't want to come back from the Middle East so I can punish another bowl from them.”
“My business partner and I had an incredible dining experience at Five Loaves Cafe in Summerville last night. As the owner of Forsh & Lofton Logistics LLC, I have a deep appreciation for businesses that prioritize atmosphere, attention to detail, and a 'white-glove' level of service—and Five Loaves delivered on all fronts. The dinner menu was exceptional, and the ambiance in the historic house provided the perfect sophisticated yet welcoming environment for our meeting. It’s clear the team here holds themselves to a high standard of excellence, from the kitchen to the front of house. Whether you're looking for a top-tier dinner spot or a professional setting for a business meal, this is a Lowcountry gem. We will definitely be back!”

“I always have a great experience every time I go into Front Porch (which is a lot)!! They are so kind, helpful, and have the best drinks!! Whitney, DJ, and Kayleigh are the best!!”
“My favorite place in Mt Pleasant!! The best hidden gem that I wish I could keep secret but I want everyone to know how fantastic it is. The food and drinks are amazing plus it comes with the most wonderful and kind owners in Sena and Ogi. This place will become your home away from home!”
“Was directed over here by a local park ranger, overall pretty great experience. Got the Not-So-Waffle sandwich which my only critique was the pimento cheese being put on the sandwich cold (Might just be a me thing as I've only ever had it put on after its been warmed up).”
“My family & I were visiting flthis area from West Virginia. We wanted a good last breakfast before leaving & picked this place and we are SO happy we did! Upon arriving, I asked the staff for recommendations on what to order. Every single person working there was so kind, welcoming, and incredibly helpful! They gave me the best recommendations and were more than happy to help me with food recommendations and drinks.
I also asked if they could put a little heart in my coffee because I'd never had latte art before, and they happily did. It absolutely made my day. It was so cute! 🥐☕
The chocolate croissant was to die for, and the breakfast burrito was just as amazing. Everything we had was delicious.
The atmosphere is what really sets this place apart. The outdoor seating is beautiful, peaceful, and enchanting. As dog owners, we also loved that they're dog-friendly!
If you're in the area, this place is an ABSOLUTE must-visit. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the Mount Pleasant area!!! 🩷”
“I have been to numerous Italian restaurants in my life. Out of every Italian restaurant this one is the absolute best, everything was so outstanding. Everything was made from scratch it had tons of flavor. Great service great atmosphere. I cannot highly recommend this place enough, today was my first day going there and I will be a regular there multiple times a month because it was that good. I can no longer hold other Italian restaurants that I’ve been to at such a high standard because this place was so outstanding and delicious.”
“I made a huge mistake today! I have been going to stop here since we moved here. But I was always running late somewhere. I stopped today just to get an individual dessert to try out. Okay they all looked delicious so I ended up getting three. They were all extremely fresh and super delicious! The staff is awesome and treated you like family. They were so helpful!! Now I am going to have to make trips there just to get to try everything!! Thanks to the staff for a great experience!!”
“Our experience was amazing! We were created by Troy and he was kind and fun and took great care of us!! The food was phenomenal and the atmosphere was nice. Cam helped us as well and was quite knowledgeable of the cuisine. We were quite impressed by the food!! Troy and Cam are a major assets and make the great food even better!”
“Anniversary Dinner. Great food (Snapper Salad, Skirt Steak, Pompano). Service was excellent and pleasant atmosphere. A pleasant surprise. We had never been here.”
“Excellent food and service-everything we ordered was over the top and there were 8 of us, each ordering a different appetizer and entree! Our server Pat, was so well informed about the food, and his service could not have been better!”
“Loved the atmosphere, food was on point, staff was very pleasant and attentive!!! I highly recommend you check it out. We will definitely come again.”

“I have been come into this location on many occasions. The service is as good as can be expected, being there is always only one employee working. I have a great concern for the safety of your employees. They all look to be very young and should not be left alone to close your store, especially at night. You need to be proactive and always have at least two employees working. I've seen others voice their concerns as well and this needs to change.”
“Great neighborhood restaurant for locals - no tourists there when we had lunch. Beautifully presented meals, hot, tasty and the price was right. Professional service - couldn't ask for more. We were told they were a member of Toast!Rewards but haven't seen our points yet.”

“Great food, great service!”
“Food was good. The rest was just ok. Way too many tables super loud. The sporks were not cool either looks like something you get with pudding. Need some real forks for the bowls. Need better check in system that tells about how long a wait, the canned answer “we aren’t allowed to tell you “ sucks.”
“We stopped in just for an appetizer and ordered the artichoke dip, which was very good! We were seated on the top deck, which offered a great view of Shem Creek and the pier. It had a much calmer atmosphere than the other nearby restaurants, which made for a nice, relaxing visit. Our server was also very attentive and provided good service.Unfortunately, the cleanliness was a major letdown. The bathrooms were disgusting, and the overall deck and restaurant area could really use a thorough deep cleaning. It’s a great spot for views and a quick bite, but the hygiene definitely needs improvement.”

“Enjoyable atmosphere. Food & service was excellent! The Beet salad with sautéed local shrimp was tasty and the fried pickles & okra was delicious! Our server was great, he was fun and friendly! Definitely love that this place is dog friendly, even at the bar area! See comments for photos from our experience!”

“The Washington Cafe is seriously a whole vibe 🤎 My latte was so good, and our treats were amazing too—everything just felt fresh, intentional, and made with care. But what really stood out to me was the atmosphere. The space is beautiful, peaceful, and full of culture. It’s one of those places you walk into and instantly feel at ease. Huge shoutout to Peter Washington III for creating something so special—you can truly feel the heart behind it. If you’re in the Charleston/Mount Pleasant area, definitely stop by. I’ll for sure be back ✨”
“What a wonderful experience to visit this beautiful spot. We are visiting Charleston from South Africa and were delighted to find this treasure. The service was warm and welcoming, and the wine was wonderful. What a special spot and made more special by the three ladies behind the bar. We hope to return.”
“My dad and I love eating at The Perch! The folks who work there are so friendly - especially Emily who always takes good care of us. The food is delicious & consistent. The ambiance is cozy every time. Couldn't ask for more! Glad to have this neighborhood spot to enjoy.”
“We love having Ben & Jerry's right around the corner! It’s such a fun and convenient spot for residents to grab a sweet treat. The staff is always friendly, the service is quick, and the ice cream is consistently amazing (you really can’t go wrong with any flavor).
It’s become a go-to for a quick dessert, weekend treat, or even a casual outing. Definitely a great addition to the area! 🍦”
“Loved this little coffee shop out in Mt. Pleasant. It was so inviting and the decor was so cute. I loved that they offered a GF cookie so I had to snag one for my husband who has celiac. They did an excellent job with my cortado and the service was very quick. We sat outside and enjoyed our coffees.”
