“We hosted our daughter and son in law's wedding dinner reception. We live in Virginia and planning this event from two states away was daunting, but Eli made planning flawless and easy, answering every nervous mother of the bride question promptly with so much interest and attention to detail. We had some food allergies that were handled with ease. The food was delicious, the private dining area was perfect, the patio cozy. The service was impeccable. This was such a memorable experience from planning to the bride and groom's send off. Perfect in every way!”

“Anniversary weekend trip to a family owned condo to find the A/C quit working sometime Saturday. Was able to get a technician out but he wouldn’t arrive till 6pm, reservations were at 815pm. Around 745pm I realized we weren’t going to make it. I called the Post House and they told me we see yall are celebrating an anniversary. When I confirmed they said don’t worry we will have a table for you whenever yall get here. We finally arrived at 845pm and they clearly saved a table for us during a busy Saturday. The cherry on top was an anniversary card signed by some of the staff. It was a special night with a lovely meal and excellent service. Well done Post House you now have become our favorite restaurant in South Carolina.”

“My friend and I hadn’t seen each other in a very long time. I suggested having dinner at Taverna since Philosophia and Taverna are my favorite restaurants in Mount Pleasant.. My friend was so excited because she hadn’t been there before and I told her,”you will not be disappointed.” Justin, one of the owners, greeted me at the door with a big welcome back as I had been away for three months in New Jersey. I introduced him to my friend Brantlee, and she told him she was very excited to try the food since she loved the food at Philosophia. We started with an appetizer of Kataifi Shrimp, which Justin suggested for Brantlee and I ordered half a dozen delicious oysters. She loved the shrimp and couldn’t wait for the entrée. Brantlee ordered the Tagliatelle which was absolutely scrumptious and I ordered the seared scallops, which are always the best. I was so happy to see my friend enjoy the incredible food and attention that the staff and Justin always provides. We finished the night off with a delicious dessert that Justin sent to the table as a courtesy. How much better can it get? Once again, I can’t say enough good things about Justin and Dimitri, both owners work so hard to delight their customers. Thank you, Justin for a wonderful evening for my friend and I. ❤️”

“While in Charleston we looked for a restaurant where local people eat that took us out of Charleston. The H & R Sweet Shop, only 15 minutes away over the bridge in Mount Pleasant, was charming, friendly and the food was great. What a shame it is closing as of October 14, 2026”

“I don’t even know where to begin to describe how amazing Ty’s was… my fiancé and I stopped in here with my parents on day 1 of our trip to the area and it did not disappoint whatsoever. From the apps to the dessert, all of our choices were a 10/10!! Our waiter Scott was the best, he alone deserves 5 gold stars! ⭐️ we were even lucky enough to meet Ty and found out we were at the “magic table” that earned us dessert on the house!! Now whether you’re lucky enough to get the magic table or not, you CANNOT pass on the churros!!”

“We went to Abbracci with our family of four and overall had a really good dinner. We started with the focaccia and burrata, and the burrata was definitely one of the highlights of the night. The combination of flavors together with the grilled focaccia was excellent.

For the mains, the Pollo al Mattone was the other star of the dinner. The chicken itself was crispy, but what really made the dish stand out was the combination of grilled peaches, heirloom tomatoes, croutons, and the sauce, which elevated the flavor of the chicken. We also had the Margherita pizza, which was thin, well cooked, and enjoyable. I ordered the Fusilloni Cacio e Pepe, which was good, but for me, the Pollo al Mattone and Burrata were definitely the standout dishes of the night.

We also ordered a simple pasta for our younger daughter, but it was a little too al dente for her, so she didn’t eat much of it.

For dessert, we tried the tiramisu and peach cake. The tiramisu was decent, but unfortunately the peach cake was not good and seemed like something was off with it.

Overall, we had a good family dinner and would come back. Definitely recommend the Burrata and Pollo al Mattone, those are the two dishes I would order again.”

He was so incredibly caring and kind when we first met him and told him we were driving four hours to Charleston and back to Columbia to get our cat life saving dental surgery. Aside from all that, the coffee is out of this world! So smooth and fresh, and the highest quality. Run to this place and support a local treasure! The entire reason we love going to the area is places like this!”

“I had to stop by Sweetgrass Mercantile to mail a jacket that a VCU Band member left in the Chucktown Sound storage room at TD Arena during the Charleston Classic. We noticed a small diner attached to the building and decided to try it out. What we discovered was this hidden gem of a diner. In addition to having a fantastic menu and set up, the place serves breakfast all day. How good was it? Typically, Kate has me finish whatever she doesn't eat. This time, however, my breakfast sandwich was so good/filling that I couldn't help with her incredible BBQ pulled pork...at least for now. Best believe I'll be devouring the leftovers -- and visiting Not Just Frank's again -- soon!”
