“I don’t even know where to begin to describe how amazing Ty’s was… my fiancé and I stopped in here with my parents on day 1 of our trip to the area and it did not disappoint whatsoever. From the apps to the dessert, all of our choices were a 10/10!! Our waiter Scott was the best, he alone deserves 5 gold stars! ⭐️ we were even lucky enough to meet Ty and found out we were at the “magic table” that earned us dessert on the house!! I ordered The Cow and hands down — it’s the best breakfast sammie I’ve had outside of a Long Island deli. Paired it with a caramel and vanilla latte that was just as good. My wife had the Bodega Platter with a Samoa’ That latte, and everything was spot on.

The team was incredibly kind and helpful, creating a laid-back atmosphere filled with families and well-behaved dogs. It felt like the kind of place you want to hang out for a while.

On a marketing side note — their branding is awesome. As someone who works in marketing, I was seriously impressed with their apparel, especially the socks. I couldn’t not buy a hat. Huge kudos to their branding and marketing team. Great food, great people, and a great vibe.”

This place is a hidden gem for both burgers and chicken sandwiches consistently delicious every time. But what really sets it apart is the staff. The lady who took my order went above and beyond to help fix a mix-up (which was totally my fault). One of the sandwiches was a chicken instead of my wife's burger — and while I would’ve happily eaten the chicken (it’s just as good as the burger!), they quickly made the correct burger and even gave me a gift card for my trouble. That kind of above-and-beyond service makes this spot sneaky good for both dine-in and takeout. And yes, they left the chicken sandwich in the bag… which I also ate. Nice work.”

I have been looking for a place (North and South Carolina) that has Tlayudas with the flavor and crunchy that I remember when a classmate invited me to eat a homemade Tlayuda. We stopped again and ordered a Carnitas one and it did not disappoint us! my husband also wanted a torta which again was so delicious!! My brother and I can never agree on the flavor and quality food from many restaurants or food trucks. However, he said he really enjoys the food from Mi Lindo Oaxaca too.”

I have a great concern for the safety of your employees. They all look to be very young and should not be left alone to close your store, especially at night. You need to be proactive and always have at least two employees working. I've seen others voice their concerns as well and this needs to change.”

The setting is easily one of its strongest cards—water views, boats drifting by, and a relaxed Lowcountry atmosphere that instantly puts you in vacation mode (even if you’re local).

The menu is impressively broad, offering everything from burgers and salads to pasta dishes, so there’s something for just about everyone at the table. Pair that with a tasty drink menu, and you’ve got a recipe for a very enjoyable meal. We hit it during the slow season, which meant zero wait time—a beautiful thing—and the staff was friendly and attentive without hovering.

Atmosphere-wise, the outdoor setting shines, but the interior tells a slightly older story. The inside and bar area feel a bit dated, and the bar itself could use a little TLC—nothing alarming, just noticeable. Also, fair warning: if you’re not a raw onion enthusiast, the salad onions come in hot and proud. Onion lovers will rejoice, everyone else might pick a few out.

Bottom line: Vickery’s is a great spot for good food, strong drinks, friendly service, and a canal-side view that does most of the heavy lifting. A little interior refresh would push it higher, but at 4.1 stars, it’s absolutely worth a stop—especially on a sunny, no-wait kind of day.”
