“Stopped here yesterday for the first time. I don’t live in Charleston but only came for the symphony. It was my daughter’s birthday and we wanted to treat her to something special. We ordered a few desserts and French pressed coffee. I love a strong, bold coffee and theirs did not disappoint! Wonderful! I forgot to ask her name but the woman who waited on us was so sweet and attentive. The cake we ordered was HUGE! We knew it was tall but the slice size was so generous. Even after stuffing ourselves we took home so much. Thank you Gala for helping make her 15th birthday one to remember! We will be back every time we come to town.“

“Incredible. From the service, the atmosphere, the food, simply incredible. My wife and I had lunch here and shared 7 courses including dessert. The hardest part is choosing from all the amazing options on the menu! You seriously cannot go wrong. Our waiter was the most friendly person ever, helped us navigate the menu and wines like a pro. Had exceptional recommendations and was amazing. It is a small intimate atmosphere, very relaxing. Not loud.

Now for the food, every course was phenomenal. Truly. I think the two stand outs for me were the wine braised beef cheek and the sobrasada con queso. But honestly every course was exquisite in its own right. The beef cheek was unlike any beef dish I have had, literally melts in your mouth , has immense rich flavors of butter, collagen and bone marrow. Out of this world. The sobrasada is one of the best bread dishes I have had in my life, words can't explain the emulsion of flavors and how they all come together so well. Compliments to the chef.

We cannot wait to come back and try the rest of the menu. This is truly a gem of a restaurant. Every single person working there was making sure the experience as perfect.“

“Me and my daughter had been traveling all night (and looked like we had been). We stopped here because we were starving and needed to kill time until we could check into our hotel. The staff was so friendly to us. I felt like we were under dressed (it was Easter) but no one seemed to judge us for it. As for the food - amazing!!!!! I got the fried artichoke sandwich and it was sooooo good. The fries were also very good. This place has such a good vibe. I wish we were in town longer so we could enjoy it again.“

Currently sitting here and the baristas are laughing and enjoying their work, they have upbeat music playing in the background, the coffee shop is bright while keeping the AC at a great temp. “The most amazing food, everything was the best I've ever had. She crab soup and hush puppies stuffed with shrimp- I thought it couldn't get better... but then we had the filet mignon and a crab pasta and both of those were out of this world. Dessert was sort of a deconstructed lemon meringue pie, you must try ! Cocktails also wonderful- excellent margarita with a new star - Lalo tequila, and an “interesting find” wine- a Malbec was absolutely delicious. The service was perfection as it always is. Such a pleasure to dine here. Can't wait to return!“
