My girlfriend and I attempted to go to three different restaurants and all of them had an hour and a half wait after finally finding a place, We had our dinner. Dinner was finished around 7:30 and as soon as I finished it, I had to poop. I held that poop until we finished our ghost tour 3 1/2 hours later, I tried to go to multiple different places all of which the restroom was absolutely disgusting. I tried to go to a Circle K, which was closed. And finally Old Faithful. I stopped at the Waffle House. The beautiful yellow sign shimmered in the distance, like a medic in the heat of battle. The bathroom was absolutely pristine. The cold water was like a glacial spring, and the hot water was hotter than I’ve ever experienced. The soap was full and it smelled good too. The toilet was just freshly cleaned. I’ve never experienced a more inviting toilet in the moment and I don’t know if it was from desperation or just pure beauty. I didn’t even eat here and I was treated better than I was the entire evening by the town of Charleston. This waffle House made my crappy/un crappy day (no pun intended) a little bit better. I wish there was a special option for six stars for my circumstance. From 16 and hung over to 27 and needing to poop Waffle House has never let a homie down….”

“Sometimes what make us really come back to a place again is the costumer service. Went there this thursday 06/25/2026 at the northwoods mall with my son that had broke his jawbone. This really nice young lady stopped everything to explain how it works the menu and how we could adapt the drink so my son could enjoy his boba properly. She made sure the drink was cold with no ice because he couldn't have ice in his drink, she put it in a regular cup with no straw because he couldn't drink out of a straw. That is such a great way to raise your kids to be nice, helpful and respectful like that. Congratulations to her mom. Didn't had cash to tip her, but next time: 1000 tips for this girl! Amazing place, amazing drinks.”

It’s always sad to me to put cold sauce on warm meat … that never happens at Willie Jewell‘s BarBQ on University Boulevard! “I have a two-part review. First, the food: butter burgers are a mandatory food item for me every time I visit Charleston, and the Culver’s at North Charleston is my go-to. No matter what type of butter burger I get, it is always spot on. Definitely a treat! If you haven’t tried it yet, you have to!

But the service is just as important as the food, and I want to highlight the great customer service that Vickie, the general manager, gave me. She went the extra mile helping me find my misplaced cell phone, even going so far as to review security footage for me. She did this during a busy lunch crowd and while juggling an AC outage and a loss of CO2 for soft drinks. It would have been very easy for her to shrug her shoulders and say it wasn’t her problem, but she instead went the extra mile to help me, when she had every reason not to. The good food brought me to this Culver’s, but Vickie’s leadership and compassion has guaranteed me as a customer forever.”

“This school bus food stop shouldn't be passed up. No one paid me for this review I just figured I should share. I moved here a year ago this is a mile from my house. I finally said let's do it. They recently renovated and I was excited to see the new set up. The Shawrma is huge and so good. You'll eat until you're full and still take a bite. It's big enough for 2 but you won't want to share. The young ladies at the register are so sweet and very helpful. They will explain what's on the menu if you aren't sure. They sell food of 3 cultures so you can mix and match. The chef stepped off the bus and I thanked him personally because I've never had food like his and I've live in 6 states. Its a hidden gem and so worth it. Also they shop their food fresh, I often see them in my local grocery stocking up basics and it's across the street.”

“these are the best carnitas tacos and huecharas I have had in a very long time. Corn and flour tortillas are hand made. Carnitas are smoked and marinated correctly. Salsa Verde has just enough bite.
