I can be creative with my picks while still meeting my goals because of all of the options. There's usually only one or two people working when I go, so don't expect it to be fast. Definitely expect it to be good! Also note that if one person is working, they may be in the back grabbing supplies for a customer order and customers will go sit down. So, if you walk up and don't see anyone, then give it a few minutes before you leave! I hope they get a sign in the future so people know!”

My girlfriend and I attempted to go to three different restaurants and all of them had an hour and a half wait after finally finding a place, We had our dinner. Dinner was finished around 7:30 and as soon as I finished it, I had to poop. I held that poop until we finished our ghost tour 3 1/2 hours later, I tried to go to multiple different places all of which the restroom was absolutely disgusting. I tried to go to a Circle K, which was closed. And finally Old Faithful. I stopped at the Waffle House. The beautiful yellow sign shimmered in the distance, like a medic in the heat of battle. The bathroom was absolutely pristine. The cold water was like a glacial spring, and the hot water was hotter than I’ve ever experienced. The soap was full and it smelled good too. The toilet was just freshly cleaned. I’ve never experienced a more inviting toilet in the moment and I don’t know if it was from desperation or just pure beauty. I didn’t even eat here and I was treated better than I was the entire evening by the town of Charleston. This waffle House made my crappy/un crappy day (no pun intended) a little bit better. I wish there was a special option for six stars for my circumstance. From 16 and hung over to 27 and needing to poop Waffle House has never let a homie down….”

“Just moved here from Cincinnati, Ohio, and this was my first time checking the place out. Honestly, they do service the right way here. The bartenders and the owner have such great personalities, I felt comfortable right away. I tried the Negroni and wow—it was one of the most well-balanced ones I’ve ever had. Crazy thing is, it was on draft, but it tasted like it was made hand-to-hand. Easily the best Negroni I’ve ever had.

I didn’t eat food this time, but everything I saw coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled amazing. The chef clearly knows what he’s doing—pumping out beautiful dishes nonstop. Definitely feels like a safe space, and they sold me on the very first visit. Can’t wait to come back!”

All the meats are excellent AND the sides are flavorful and quite varied, including daily special sides. The portions are generous and one of my favorite things about dining in is that all the sauces are WARM and available in a large pump dispenser. It’s always sad to me to put cold sauce on warm meat … that never happens at Willie Jewell‘s BarBQ on University Boulevard! The restaurant has an old-fashioned and lighthearted atmosphere and the staff are pleasant and efficient.”

“Decaf espresso. The shot was well balanced with a very slight note of bitterness that sat well on the tongue. It didn’t have many sweet notes but the flavor was top notch. Nicely done.
Decaf Cappuccino: the coffee was great. The foam could use some improvement. The bubbles were too large and didn’t have the silky texture on the tongue. No art attempt. It tasted good but the foam was a let down.
Pastry was good and went well with the coffee.
The vibe is rustic and a very young crowd. Fun and vibrant with some coffee shop appropriate chill music.
Pet peeve, only paper cups. Such a good espresso should be in a real cup with some water to finish it off.

“This is THE PLACE TO GO, I was instantly greeted by a young hispanic guy who was able to assist my mother who doesn’t speak english in spanish and explain to her the type of drinks they had, and then as soon as we paid, our drinks were already there and ready for us to take, i’ve tried a bunch of coffee shops but this place takes the cake.”

The green beans were delicious and the pot roast I had was so flavorful! I also decided to get a strawberry shortcake cup which was so good I didn’t even get to take a photo!”

She completely made my day by going above and beyond with helping me google the type of yogurt I was purchasing to make sure I knew was it was and gave me a bag for my Starbucks items.
