The drinks they serve is also amazing the Pina colada is made from scratch and it is the best.“

“Tacos were amazing!! Chorizo dip was amazing! Salsa was some of the best I’ve ever had! Margaritas were also great! Staff were friendly and patient! Super clean! 10/10 recommend!“
“these are the best carnitas tacos and huecharas I have had in a very long time. Corn and flour tortillas are hand made. Carnitas are smoked and marinated correctly. Salsa Verde has just enough bite. Located in North Charleston on the corner of Ashley Phosphate and Stafford Road. Right across from a baseball field. Next door to Country Inn Rooms and Suites. Bon Appetit! R. “This little hidden gem is so good. The tacos taste fresh as well as the meat used in my caldo de res ( beef soup). Only thing I would change is using fresh veggies instead of frozen. The enchiladas Verdes are really good but if you cant stand the heat get out the kitchen.“

“Man oh man when I say this brings all the flavors I mean it , everything is cooked to order very authentic flavors & they are so nice ! I make sure to stop by twice a week , Thank you for embracing your great food with us ! Sincerely a loving customer !!“
“This is the best Mexican food in Charleston hands down! Homemade tortillas, and salsas. The tacos have plenty of meat and the meat is flavorful. This is the place with the sabor! Go here, you won’t regret it. The price is good and the food is great. It also has a nice sitting area and the truck itself is very clean. This place is bueno, bonito, & barato. I tried it once and couldn’t help myself from going back a second time in the same week. Hands down the best.“

“servicio y frescura en los productos,“
“Day 1: Got the Carne Asada burrito and two tacos, lengua & carnitas. The portion size for the tacos was beyond generous! They were very delicious as well, first time for me having the Lenguas. The burrito was equally generous in size and the flavors were amazing. The red sauce and green sauces were very tasty and the red sauce has a little heat which I liked.
Day 2: Got the Cabeza Torta. The portion size was huge, and the meat was so tender. The flavor was very good as well. Definitely will be returning for lunch soon!
I felt the $$ I spent there was appropriate for the amount and quality of my meals.“

“My Family first tried the North Charleston location a few months back, and as non meat or dairy consumers, we were pleasantly surprised at the variety that Azul Mexicano had to offer. As a lover of Mexican food that is authentic, I definitely recommend this place for food, service, and atmosphere. The next location was James island which was even better! Our server greeted us with a smile every time that she approached and made sure to check on us often. Although the music was quite loud inside(even in the restroom) we had the option of eating outside on a beautiful day. The bugs were pretty much non-existent, and the traffic noise was no issue as we sat and ate. The food was also perfect for two children ages 6 and under.“

“Went here while staying in North Charleston. Danger-hiked as a white guy from the hotel against the advice of the hotel staff. Just the usual beggars asking for stuff along the way.
Got to the restaurant, found the correct door to enter, then stood there being ignored for about two minutes. Finally asked in Spanish if they were open and if so, could I get a table? They magically noticed I existed. Once seated I asked if they had any beer? The young lady replied that all they had was teas. So I ordered a Tamarind Tea which came out in a half pitcher with a straw. Tasted interesting. When I asked for a menu she said they didn’t have one. At this point I’m committed since I was lucky not to get robbed walking there and I still had to get back home so might as well get something for my potential last meal. I asked what they had to offer and she said she’d be right back. Up walks an Abuela with an apron that tells me they have Tlayudas y Tortas that night. So I ordered one of each. The food came out in about 15 minutes and it was delicious. When I got done I went to pay and she rang me up for $20 for the whole experience. I tried to tip her but she got nervous and looked around and then told me not to tip. By now it’s dark along Ashley Phosphate road and I’m walking back to the Residence Inn as a lone white dude. Don’t do that unless you are adventurous or looking for a reason to fight. Made it back to my hotel and noticed I felt funny. Turns out that tamarind tea had to have some cannabis in there somewhere because I was high af like I took a 10mg edible and it wasn’t just the euphoria of surviving a late night stroll through little Mexico. It was easily the most entertaining part of my two weeks in Charleston. 10/10 would recommend, but seriously, if you don’t speak Spanish and are one of those people that expect… literally anything that people complain about in these reviews, just go eat at a Taco Bell or something.“

“My husband and I went to Dashi last night and it was PHENOMENAL. Kaitlyn (sorry if I spelled it wrong!) was so personable and wonderful—she truly made our night. The Jiggly Caliente drink was delicious, and our food was amazing. Can’t wait to go back!!“
