“Had a lovely lunch here with my sister during the Christmas Holiday - December 21, 2023! Carmen and Juan both served our table, as well. The Carnitas reminded me so much of the great carnitas I've had in California. I highly recommend this hideaway in Mt. Pleasant. Be sure you check it out!!“
“Overall: A good neighborhood Mexican option. The good: We really enjoy the food the few times we've been there. The burritos are huge but still packed with loads of flavor. There are a lot of different ingredients packed in them, and it is worth the price. The menu is vast across the typical Mexican fare areas, with other offerings like the enchiladas being great as well. Service was friendly. The not-so-good: Our margaritas weren't strong at all. On a busy night, which seems to be often, the place loud and crowded. The space isn't huge, so everyone is crammed together with not too much space between tables.Food/drink: 8/10Atmosphere: 8/10Service: 8/10“
“My girlfriend and I are in town for a week and hit this spot randomly after a beach day with the dog. What a find! The jalepeno shrimp tacos are seriously the best shrimp tacos I've ever had, and the price is not super inflated like a lot of other "Street taco" style places I've been to. Margaritas were on point (prickly pear is hands down the best) and nice and strong. Even with all the choices we have around Charleston for only being here a week we chose to come here multiple times because of how good it was. If I'm ever back, there's no question where I'm coming again.“
“Do not miss out on this food truck. I stopped by after seeing it set up in the same spot every week. The plan was to take it home but I never made it out of the parking space. Housed 2 tacos and a tamale like I've never seen food before. I'll try to take a picture on my next “
“¡Dios mío! Absolutely the most authentic and delicious street style tacos I’ve had outside of DF! No joke…who would expect that in Mt Pleasant SC??? The staff were fantastic and friendly and everyone at my table left fat and happy! Can’t wait to come back and try more dishes.I’m going to be dreaming about these tacos!Kid-friendliness: They have great kid menu options for the chavalitos.“
“Food was Fast and Amazing and Jade our awesome waitress was just a joy and never missed a beat even though she was swamped !! Open late and absolutely the best guac and salsa i have had in any restaurant !! If your in Charleston you have to try this place !!JADE Thank you for turning our evening around by such a warm wonderful smile and sweet southern charm !!“
“I got a Cachitaco, a shrimp taco, and a fish taco. The fish and shrimp tacos were both on a double stacked corn tortilla. I know a lot of places that do this, but I'm just not a fan. The stuff inside was very good though. The cachitaco was AWESOME! 5/5, would eat again. They dip a flour tortilla in the rendered fat from the meat, then char it before filling it up with meat and cheese.“
“One of the best Mexican places in mount pleasant. Very good food for a reasonable price and great customer service. Great place to bring younger kids and they have a good kids menu for the kids.Dietary restrictions: If you have a dairy allergy make sure to double check with a chef because I have been told by one waitress that the rice has butter and another that it does not. So they are not fully aware of what they are not fully aware of the precautions of allergies and dietary restrictionsParking: Lots of spots in the parking lot. Berger have to worry about where to park or if there will be enough spots“
“We came for my sons birthday, and they gave him a treat and a sang for him it was so fun for him. Their chicken enchiladas are amazing, and you can tell they pull their own chicken and make it fresh, and their cheese dip is out of this world!!! We fed a family of 5 with drinks and cheese dip for under $100. I totally recommend this place.“
“La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant stole my taste buds and sped up my foodie journey faster than a speedy sombrero! Their food was so great, I contemplated doing a salsa dance with my burrito. And speaking of speed, their service was faster than a jalapeño popper disappearing at a party. I ordered a large beer, and boy, it was large enough to make me feel like a giant among taco-loving mortals. It was so big, I considered using it as a flotation device in case I got swept away by a river of guacamole! Overall, La Hacienda gets two thumbs (and a sombrero) up for the delicious food, speedy service, and their ability to make everything, including their beer, super-sized fun! Ole! ???“
“The food was amazing but it better have been for the price. The sauce on top of the cheese quesodillas was the kind you lick off your fingers. The staff was friendly but the prices were a little higher than my normal. A decent sized portion though.Vegetarian options: I got a cheese quesodilla and enjoyed it.“
