“Martin is THE BEST server I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet. This was our second time dining in and, while the first time was fine, Martin absolutely made our experience much more enjoyable, even when his section got busy. He made recommendations that felt authentic and made our friend’s first time at Ranch Lewis that much better. We even talked about him on the way home! He is an amazing asset to the restaurant.

“I held off eating here because of the reviews. I’m a Texas gal living here in Charleston and I’m particular about my Tacos! Had some friends stay at an Airbnb across the street and it was convenient so I finally went. I’ve now been twice in less than a week. Everything is so fresh. Well flavored. Delicious. Cocktails are lovely. Staff was helpful and attentive both times. I also learned that some of the bad reviews here are dishonest. I’m here to say- ignore them and go. Casual, fun, and yummy for my tummy!“

“This was our second time coming to Maya before going to a show with some friends. Every single bite we had was delicious. The shrimp skewers and empanadas were just a few of our favorites. Also can forget about the watermelon margarita with a tajin rim, it's a total must have! Our server Hailey was also amazing and remembered us from our last visit. “Lot of vegetarian choices. All of the menu can be made vegetarian and then you can add your meat to the dishes. Being vegetarian that was very nice to see. The place is really small and the parking upfront is limited but since it's in a shopping complex you can park there and walk. We ordered Santa Fe and California burrito and both tasted good. We ordered chips and salsa and it was good too. Service was good. Food came out in good time.

“We visited Taco Boy during our vacation in Charleston. Taco Boy was recommended to us by one of the vendors at the city market. Our food was insanely good. Their queso is amazing. “The food was typical Mexican food. The queso was a bit watery but still had great flavor. For tourists, it's hard to know which door to go into. Only the "out" door is labeled. Overall, it was a good experience.

Kid-friendliness: There were multiple kid menu options. Typical food and Mexican food options also.“

“My kids and I go at least 3 times a month! Such good food!!! Their food is like eating back in Mexico at your abuelitas house. So yummy!
Not to mention the service! They always take care of their guests and check in multiple times! Sandra, Mari, and the dude behind the bar have the best service!! Not to mention that the lady that does the cooking gets right to it, serves everything nice and hot, and gives you plenty on your plate!

“Overall a great local spot. My buddy’s family lives in the area, and so a group of us went to check it out.
Very quick service, besides a couple minor issues. Our server was very wishy washy. When he was here to help, we did a great job and was very quick, but when we didn’t see him, he was very much gone and we were unable to get a hold of him, which resulted in some longer wait times.
The food was good quality, but was a tad too expensive for the size.
The vegetarian quesadilla was fantastic though, and I highly recommend it!
Very good environment, well done to the decor.

“This is a fantastic Mexican restaurant. If you like Mexican food, you've got to try it. It has an intimate atmosphere with a nice bar. There's also some covered outside seating.

“My second time dining here and I was very impressed! We arrived 30 minutes before closing time and honestly we were leery that the staff would be tired and upset and that it would reflect in the quality of the food. But that was not the case. The entire staff was so friendly and professional. The food was hot and absolutely delicious!! We did not feel rushed at all and the restaurant was so pretty and cozy. I had to write a review! I forget our waitress’s name, but she was amazing!! Thank you for fantastic service and delicious food. Five stars!!“

“The Press is a burrito specific restaurant. You order from a window in the front of the building. There is a small patio to eat in the back. The burrito and a diet coke was $20. Anywhere but down town I would say that is too high but being down town that seems about right.
The burrito was excellent!!!
