“It was my first time here. It definitely gives family vibes. The food was good. I had white rice, sweet kennel corn, bbq ribs and yams with a sweet tea. My only issue was the yams were hard and undercooked.

As for the location the parking lot was small and shared with another business/church. On a busy day I know it's hectic so go on a slow day if your eating in.“

“Okay honest review time---(4.8 stars out of 5- but we can't do partial stars) I got the garlic parmesan wings and fries with the pineapple lemonade. The lemonade by itself is 10 stars, nice and sweet and refreshing!! The wings were great too, super flavor packed and crunchy!! The fries were the only real food complaint, cooked really well but no seasoning, not even salt. They tasted okay but I ended up dipping them in the garlic sauce to make them taste better. They also threw in a plantain and it was good too! Atmosphere is effected bc its a food truck but the lady in the truck was friendly and so polite!! Definitely recommend this place, so good!!“

“If y’all need a good southern home cooked meal this is the place to go! We got a meat, veg, and rice plate this perfectly hit the spot! The green beans were delicious and the pot roast I had was so flavorful! I also decided to get a strawberry shortcake cup which was so good I didn’t even get to take a photo!“

“Amazing food and service! We ordered catering from them for an employee meeting. Everyone loved it! The delivery was great. They set everything up for us. The even brought utensils and plates. The gentleman explained which pan was what before he left. Food was delicious! Something for everyone including vegetarians! Great pricing also. We will definitely be ordering again from here. “I booked Chucktown Mobile Seafood for an event I did with my sorority at CofC. Kevin was extremely helpful, communicative, and accommodating for our event! He put a lot of care into the service and menu. Their team arrived early and set up efficiently, the service was amazing, and the food was delicious. We have around 200 members and all of of them had great things to say and many went back for seconds. Would definitely recommend working with them if you are looking to plan an event!“

“While in Charleston we looked for a restaurant where local people eat that took us out of Charleston. The H & R Sweet Shop, only 15 minutes away over the bridge in Mount Pleasant, was charming, friendly and the food was great. What a shame it is closing as of October 14, 2026“
