Fantastic food! Excellent service. I had the fried chicken, cabbage, cornbread and Candi Yams. Not sure if the air condition was running. I sat down and ate my food and they had plenty of fans so I wasn't hot. The selling point of this place is definitely the food and service.
This is it the best soul gullah food in Charleston. Been eating here 38 years maybe a little more. White baby limas seasoned with pig tails and smoked hock is the absolute best I ever put in my mouth. Okra soup is perfect red rice, baked chicken, fried pork chops, and my favorite fried whiting. Three generations of beautiful ladies have grown up serving what I consider the best that Charleston has to offer.
