All the meats are excellent AND the sides are flavorful and quite varied, including daily special sides. The portions are generous and one of my favorite things about dining in is that all the sauces are WARM and available in a large pump dispenser. It’s always sad to me to put cold sauce on warm meat … that never happens at Willie Jewell‘s BarBQ on University Boulevard! The restaurant has an old-fashioned and lighthearted atmosphere and the staff are pleasant and efficient.“

My out of town visitor had a really good experience and meal. We really appreciated her pleasent positive attitude. The food was really good we will return.“

“This is a great place to eat. We were a little skeptical because of past experiences with Hotel Restaurants (being over priced, with small portions) this is NOT the case. Very reasonably priced and just the right amount on servings. Waitress was so friendly !!! The food was absolutely delicious!! Worth the stop !! Ohh and the Fried Green Tomatoes on point !!!!“
