We had the Friday special and wing plate. Delicious.
Found this place based on reviews, it didn't disappoint. Had the cheeseburger and fried pork chops. So much food. Very good. Very friendly folks working, said they are descendants of the owners from 1945. Stop by and support old time business.

H & R Sweet Shop is a local favorite, just two blocks away, offering outstanding chicken, burgers, and pork chops. The fresh salads and friendly service make it worth every penny. The historical charm of the place, open since 1945, adds to the feel-good atmosphere. This is the oldest black-owned restaurant in the area, a true local gathering spot with a laid-back, slow-paced, and full of charm. Extremely affordable, it serves incredible Southern-inspired soul food, including whole wings instead of smaller party-style wingettes. The owner, Ms. Renee, is an absolute gem, and the staff is friendly.
