“The bowl of pho that I had was excellent! A large bowl of steaming hot broth, a generous portion of beef, chili oil available on the table for those that enjoy spicy food and the Thai tea was sweet and flavorful. We need this place in Columbia “

“Old School Italian in Every Way

This place is a hidden gem in North Chuck, and damn, it is so perfect. The interior is dated as it should be, with tables covered in red and white checked clothes. But that is not why you come here - it's the food - every last item we ordered.

So, let's start at the beginning. The drinks are well made at great prices. The wine list covers everything from sweet red wine to an affordable Barolo. It's not a list for wine snobs, so bring your own and pay a corkage.
The Zucchini Fries and Calamari Fritti were lightly breaded and plentiful. The Arancini were massive and the best I have had since being in Sicily.

The Pasta is housemade. The Pappardelle is ribbons of love. The Zitti and spaghetti were on point. The sauces (and every Italian sauce is an option here) are Grandma's recipes, and Grandma knew how to cook old school. The chicken and Eggplant Parm are superb. The highest-quality chicken is used, and you can taste it. The eggplant is sliced thin and crispy.
Baked Ziti, Papparadelle with Puttanesca, and the Salmon special, each thrilled with every bite. (I know, Salmon at an Italian joint - go figure - prepared with an Italian white sauce with pasta on the side - yum!)

The housemade Limoncello was also the best I have had since Sicily. I wish they bottled and sold it.

Come as you are, and you will be welcomed with a smile. You come here for the food made from Grandma's recipes. You will get attentive, friendly service. And you will get it all at a fair price.

Come here for Old-School Italian dishes prepared with love in a cozy, unpretentious setting, and you will leave happy and well-fed.

Parking: The lot is small but the businesses around this place are closed after 5pm so ....“
