A friend that we met recently is from up north and told us to try . Today we stopped in and thank GOD we did!! Literally our prayers have been answered. Soft bread , delicious meat , melty cheese. Authentic Philly food! We got a cheesesteak , Italian hoagie and turkey hoagie. If you’re looking for soft customer service , this may be alittle hard core for you as in normal Philly fashion , we loved it ! This is a MUST!! GO BIRDS!”

“Leon's is literally in my dreams! My boyfriend and I went there for the first time three years ago. It blew our minds! Affordable, delicious food, and such a fun atmosphere. We returned a couple of times on the same trip. We live in NJ... and set up a trip last year JUST to go to Leons. I am actually scared to post a review because I selfishly want to keep it a secret for my boyfriend and I. Man, if you like chicken and oysters... you cannot go wrong. “One of my top 5 restaurants in Charleston. Quality and taste is EPIC and getting to chat with Kazu and Chris just makes the experience so much more intimate. Such a fantastic value for the quality and quantity of food - my main recommendation is to keep a running list of the dishes served because at the end of the meal, you get to order more of whatever you liked a la carte. If you ever get the chance for a hard to get reservation here, TAKE IT!!!!”

“We absolutely LOVE this place. We have always eaten at the bar in the tavern area and have no interest in sitting elsewhere. We discovered Lowland a while ago and it is now our most favorite food spot in Charleston. The drinks are outstanding, the service is excellent and the food is divine. The food is fresh, the flavors are unique and the recipes highlight authentic lowland food. This latest visit we tried the celery salad, the burger a the biscuit with a red pepper jelly and potted cheese. The celery salad was simple yet AMAZING. Simple blanched celery with chopped mint and some incredible white cheddar cheese from Wisconsin. I eat burgers almost everywhere I go but this one is truly THE BEST. The meat was perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked and the perfect size!!! Wish I remembered our bartenders name but he was GREAT on a Sunday night. Cannot wait to go back next month and bring our son who will visit from London!!”

The peel & eat shrimp so plump and served ice cold I have craved them since I had them. The service was above and beyond. The atmosphere encouraged private chatter but also conversation with next table easily. Friendly and cheerful and above all excellent food served with smiles, suggestions, and ease. I will never visit Charleston again without making sure to dine here. (Do not eat the soup. I actually sent it back to the kitchen. “Me and my daughter had been traveling all night (and looked like we had been). We stopped here because we were starving and needed to kill time until we could check into our hotel. The staff was so friendly to us. I felt like we were under dressed (it was Easter) but no one seemed to judge us for it. As for the food - amazing!!!!! I got the fried artichoke sandwich and it was sooooo good. The fries were also very good. This place has such a good vibe. I wish we were in town longer so we could enjoy it again.”

“Excellent tapas experience on Valentine’s Day. We got the prosciutto-wrapped dates, sobrasada with chorizo, patatas bravas, and a grouper skewer to go along with a bottle of Tempranillo. The sobrasada and tomato sauce that came with the patatas were standouts in my opinion.

It’s very small inside and the tables are very close together. It’s not too loud or anything, but perhaps a tad cramped. Regardless, I wouldn’t hesitate to return.”

“Edmund’s Original is one of our favorite restaurants in Charleston. It’s the perfect mix of quality and price, with a team that always makes us feel right at home. I can’t speak highly enough of this place. Whenever someone comes to visit from out of town, we bring them to EO so they can get a taste of what we’re fortunate to enjoy regularly. The food is phenomenal - from the fried chicken to the burger to the steak, and everything in between. The beer selection is top notch. In-house developed cocktails are creative, while the classics are on point if that’s more your speed. The chocolate cake and an espresso martini are the perfect touch to finish it all off! Oh, and don’t sleep on the special events they host! When the chef teams up with other chef’s from around the state, they always deliver a unique and delicious experience!”

“We went for lunch, there were so many great choices! We had the Pimento Cheese for an appetizer and it did not disappoint. My friend and I shared the Chicken Tenders and Classic Vegetarian plate full of great southern veggies. Delish! The atmosphere was inviting and the service was great. Definitely highly recommend!”
