“Stopped in for take out tacos (steak, barbacoa, pastor), nachos (chicken) and tamales. All were excellent- also got some salsa & chips to eat thru the week. Good place for a quick bite!”

“The country fried steak was perfect! The Mac n cheese was a little dry, but it was end of lunch rush, the baked beans were really good. My sweet tea was a delightful mix and I had 2 glasses!
The baked potatoes needed just a little more toppings (butter) and maybe some sour cream on both sides. They were beautifully presented.
The banana pudding was a trip back to my childhood! Make sure you order some!
Again, towards end of lunch rush so things were winding down.”

“If you're looking for your typical, affordable, fast Chinese takeout, this is the place. I ordered sesame chicken, chicken lo mein, and hot and sour soup. I don't normally like sesame chicken but my partner wanted it and it was 10/10. Was fried well and the sauce was very savory. Lo mein was average and the hot and sour soup was really spicy and good! It only took them 15 minutes to cook everything on a Saturday night. Will be back”

“Typical Subway. The prices have increased since the last time I was there, but everything has, so . The menu has changed too. One thing I really do not like is, when you order a specifically named sandwich from their menu they ask you what you want on it. And then they have to look at the menu to make it. When I went this time, he still didn't put the correct items on it. The kids really liked the WARM footlong cookie!The restaurant was mostly clean. Crumbs on several tables from where people recently left.All the staff were friendly.

“One of my top 5 restaurants in Charleston. Quality and taste is EPIC and getting to chat with Kazu and Chris just makes the experience so much more intimate. Such a fantastic value for the quality and quantity of food - my main recommendation is to keep a running list of the dishes served because at the end of the meal, you get to order more of whatever you liked a la carte. If you ever get the chance for a hard to get reservation here, TAKE IT!!!!”

“Me and my daughter had been traveling all night (and looked like we had been). We stopped here because we were starving and needed to kill time until we could check into our hotel. The staff was so friendly to us. I felt like we were under dressed (it was Easter) but no one seemed to judge us for it. As for the food - amazing!!!!! “Excellent tapas experience on Valentine’s Day. We got the prosciutto-wrapped dates, sobrasada with chorizo, patatas bravas, and a grouper skewer to go along with a bottle of Tempranillo. The sobrasada and tomato sauce that came with the patatas were standouts in my opinion.

It’s very small inside and the tables are very close together. It’s not too loud or anything, but perhaps a tad cramped. Regardless, I wouldn’t hesitate to return.”

“Edmund’s Original is one of our favorite restaurants in Charleston. It’s the perfect mix of quality and price, with a team that always makes us feel right at home. I can’t speak highly enough of this place. Whenever someone comes to visit from out of town, we bring them to EO so they can get a taste of what we’re fortunate to enjoy regularly. The food is phenomenal - from the fried chicken to the burger to the steak, and everything in between. The beer selection is top notch. In-house developed cocktails are creative, while the classics are on point if that’s more your speed. The chocolate cake and an espresso martini are the perfect touch to finish it all off! “I was visiting my daughter in Charleston and we had dinner, the drink menu had great choices and I particularly enjoyed the Gold Rush, the crab stuffed cannoli appetizer was the perfect starter before the outstanding ribeyes we both had! The real star of the show here is the Assistant Manager Jacqueline, she was very accommodating and her smile and pleasant demeanor made you feel right at home.
