“We have been visiting the southern for over a decade, and it remains one of the last few great Mt P dives with an excellent kitchen. The staff has always been amazing and attentive, even when things get a little wild late night. The fresh squeezed grapefruit and orange drinks are some of the cheapest in town, and they make one of the best cheesesteaks in the area. Highly recommend a visit if you like unpretentious spots with that local vibe. It looks like the business is being targeted by trolls who have never visited, but we can clearly say you should trust the locals. I have never been uncomfortable in there, but don’t walk in expecting a Hall’s experience. It’s a bar first, just with good food options.“

“Short and sweet visit to Charleston found us eating and drinking here 3x over 5 days! Bravo for a great atmosphere, very tasty bar food, especially loved the smashed crab cake, skinny margarita, fish fillets and burgers! Slammed over the Memorial holiday weekend. But these people are pros and just kept it moving. Fun outside rock music - the guy in Saturday night of Memorial weekend was fantastic!“

“Smugglers is the best. I got my staff food from there the other day and it was fresh, tasted great, and really hit the spot. My team agreed 100%. The beer cheese pretzel ie a definite win. Crinkle cut fries are fresh. Bartender and owner were courteous and I will definitely be back to cater lunch for my team soon 👊 💯“

“Where do I start? I went looking for a pool table while in town for two days. Found 3 here. Everywhere I go I search 'dive bars near me with pool tables'. Nailed it! Being a billiards enthusiast, I always scope out the best players. Forgive my memory with names, but the bar back with the white backwards hat, the owner, and some dude Tyler put up the best fight. 💪 Had such a good time! I had the Savannah bananas jersey on. Thank you for the Southern hospitality!! I was telling another guy that I shoot with back home just outside of Philly and he knew exactly where I was talking about. Cannot wait to come back! Much love from Philly 💪❤️“
