“I only put one star for food because every time I go they are not serving food but the service is excellent the bartender there she is amazing. Atmosphere for me is also a plus there's sometimes you go in theaters about a handful of people which is great because that gives me easy access to get my bmarriages you can sit at the bar are at the table also there are 2 pool tables which when it's not too crowded you can always get to play there's also sitting outside“
“The place is in a private resort area. They definitely had resort prices.The atmosphere is fun and inviting. They have the huge Adirondack chair for photo opportunities. There was a fire pit. A couple of outdoor bars on the sandy beach style are.This seems to be a fun environment. There is a parking fee to get out, though. So plan to stay long enough to make it worth the parking fee.“
“Great atmosphere, awesome band (High Strung), food was good, and overall it was a great time with a packed house. We did have an order that was missed for one of our friends and was too late to have it reordered so I felt bad as he was an out of town guest but it was a packed house so understandable I guess. It was our first time and it’s definitely a place we will be back to visit.“
“The service was excellent. The fried pork chop meal was excellent. The women's restroom was horrible. Toilets were not working properly and the flush handle spun around in a circle when trying to flush but would not flush. The other stall had toilet paper all over the floor and stopped up toilet. The restroom door was very heavy to open. The ladies room needs some repair aside from that it was a pleasant experience.“
“We came to The Shelter for my daughter's birthday. David and the staff were incredible. Our waitress Megan was on point. She was fun to talk to and engaged in conversation with everyone at the table. David got us a T shirt, and I asked him to have everyone sign it that was working that night as a birthday present for my daughter. Plus, the food was amazing. The Shrimp n Grits are the best I've had so far. We will definitely be going back to The Shelter a lot!!“
“Great local bar. We went to see the band. Wanted table service but at 730 a girl told us that it ended at 8 ?. Ok...but it's 730. Had to order at bar- they were busy. Very unorganized process, but they were nice. At 830 I saw a guy taking an order next to us..hmmmBand great, just too loud for that small of an area.Food was good. Onion Rings were the best I have ever had!“
