“Really cute, simple coffee shop. Focused on making delicious coffee. We went early on a Friday morning because we were at a conference down the street at Festival Hall. They were very busy because many people at the conference also stopped by. They were quick at working through the line, and the iced vanilla latte was perfect.

Edit to add: they put a copy of the morning paper on each table we think. This was not our newspaper haha“

“Not much space to eat, but you can order ahead and take to go. We saw that the line ended around 10:45 on a Friday morning so keep that in mind if you are really wanting to make this stop. Food was really good. My daughter, who’s a barista, felt her drink was a little weak, I agree. My iced coffee was good though. We also shared a banana bread that was to die for. I got a turkey sandwich and she got an avocado toast. My sandwich was so big I could have shared it for sure. Worth our wait in line.“

“Simply awesome. Alyssa was running this joint solo. It was pretty cool watching her do her magic. She moves so incredibly fast! My father had very very very very very very specific dietary needs due to his health conditions right now. She was extremely considerate and whipped up something tailored made just for him that was astounding. I will definitely be coming back over and over again. My only complaint is the salad my sister bought, was $23 before taxes! That is outrageous for a salad. I doubt the ingredients are so expensive that it would justify the price. If the ingredients really are that expensive, then perhaps use different ingredients.“

“On a mission to have breakfast today, without waiting in a long line, I stumbled on a jewel in the former location of soul food restaurants, Deacon Burton’s/Son’s Place in Inman Park. The Breakfast Burrito, Salmon on Toast, champagne, etc., were delicious and Complimentary!! Unbeknown to us, restaurant was having a “private intro” to the community and a staff training event. “I went to Broad Street Cafe the other day for breakfast. They had excellent bagel sandwiches - I opted for the standard egg and cheese on a Jalapeno Bagel toasted. It was delicious! The staff were super friend and I would definitely go back“

“Super cute spot! It really is a nook. Just got a strawberry matcha and iced latte. The espresso was very smooth and match was not overly sweet and tasted authentic, like grass. The girl thar helped us was very personable and actually had a conversation with us. Very small sitting area. Street parking.“

“Addended from prior: I had an excessive wait time(>40m) in the drive thru line on a busy Sunday. Owner reached out personally after the bad experience which goes a long way. Definitely will go back as smoothies are always great, but I would recommend ordering ahead or popping inside if the drive thru line looks long!“

The staff was very attentive to our party and we had to wait for nothing. The menu is top notch and offers different items than nearby establishments. “I have been a customer of Ted’s since 2007 and will continue to be a customer as long as Ted’s serves up carefully curated fare to the Lowcountry (and beyond!). Steaks, deli meat, cheese, wine, prepared food, sandwiches, and salads all crafted and made to order with care. Always wonderful staff, delicious meals, and did I mention bacon?“

“Delicious! We enjoyed the Toll House, pecan pie, & cheesecake. These were all solids! We didn't love the red velvet as much, it was much drier than we prefer (and honestly I'm a little snobby about red velvet). It's the one place we didn't make a reservation for and at 8pm on a Thursday- we absolutely should have 😂. We ended up taking it to go. Loved the atmosphere too! Side note- m-th it doesn't open until 2. Should we ever visit the area again, this and Frannie and Fox (just around the corner from here) are MUSTS!“

“I stopped into Petit Merci yesterday morning to see what they had to offer, and I was absolutely delighted. It’s a charming little French-style market in downtown Charleston, beautifully curated with an amazing selection of fresh breads, cheeses, meats, and other gourmet treats. The focaccia was perfectly soft with just the right amount of chew, the baguette had that crisp, golden crust you’d expect from a true French bakery, and the aged salami paired wonderfully with the fresh cheese I picked up. The roasted chicken sandwich was packed with flavor and felt like something straight out of a Parisian café. And the sea salt chocolate chip cookies? Simply divine—chewy, rich, and with the perfect touch of salt to balance the sweetness.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable, happy to offer recommendations. Whether you’re looking for a quick bite, a special treat, or ingredients for a beautiful charcuterie board, this is the place to go. I’ll definitely be returning for more!“
