“Not sure why this location has a lower rating than the other. I had a great time at both locations and I’m glad I went out of my way to pop into this one. If I was local I’d be a regular for sure! I sat at the bar top and enjoyed my coffee and people watching. The team work and way the staff interacted with each other made it known that it was a well run establishment. Great job, Babas!“

“Service and atmosphere is amazing, the pastries and coffee are always solid, the food can be hit or miss as its a bit on the sweet side sometimes could use spice or salt , and the quiche texturally has been a bit strange from time to time with the occasional charred cheese on top but never terrible.“

“Outstanding! When I booked this experience we were looking for a fabulous backdrop as we explored the city. What a hidden gem! The location, service and facilities made our experience memorable! The staff was very attentive to our party and we had to wait for nothing. The menu is top notch and offers different items than nearby establishments. Do yourself a huge favor and taste the grit bowls for starters. The crispness puts the fresh in their fresh fruit. We shall definitely return!“

“Great coffee and most importantly great staff. being in the restaurant business traveling from Sarasota to Charleston I’m so happy I found this gem. Talk about efficiency, staff is ready for crowds, everyday I went there there’s always a line which they seem to know how to handle efficiently and flawlessly. Now let’s talk about coffee, there’s a red hair young lady working the coffee machine (she’s a powerhouse) she pushes those drinks so fast without compromising the presentation of each cup along with the quality. My flats white (Australian style coffee equivalent to cappuccino with less milk) was so good I ordered a second to go every time.
Now let’s talk about the staff The Harmony between them is hard to find and from what I can tell resulted of them working together for a while (less employees turn over= good management or boss). Do yourself a favor and try this small cafe and I promise you won’t be disappointed. The only downside I noticed was the WiFi, it seems to be hard to connect to internet.“

“I hate having to give Alcove 4 stars, because the atmosphere is phenomenal! Unfortunately the “El Padre” breakfast burrito was SOAKED in grease and made me feel extremely sick after. The coffee was so yummy and the service was outstanding…but this menu item definitely needs some attention to prevent further illness in customers.“

“Went today to check out this new spot and it knocked our socks off. We got the Stoopid Good Sammie and it was THE BEST sandwich we have ever had. I don’t know how it could possibly be better.
The to-go fridge was fully stocked with beautifully vibrant meals, snacks, and healthy beverages. Everything looked delicious. A huge plus, they have plenty of parking! Needless to say i will be back regularly.“

“Stopped in here while walking to the ATM. Ordered the brown sugar milk tea with boba. Best bubble tea I've ever had (and I've had a lot of bubble tea)! Atmosphere is chill, staff is very friendly and the place is nice and clean. Definitely a place to stop if you want bubble tea or a bite to eat.“

“I had an amazing time at Drag Bingo hosted by the lovely Patti O’Furniture! The drinks were amazing! The prizes were awesome! All in all a wonderful time! Would recommend for anyone! Cozy atmosphere, top notch, and very clean. You wouldn’t even be able to tell there are cats there due to absolutely no smell! Support the cat cafe mission even if you have no intentions to adopt!“

“We were walking around Charleston and saw that this place had boba! When we saw it at first it was closed on a hot day, so we wanted to come back here when it was open.

The inside was very spacious and the menu had so many options to choose from, both for food and boba. Service was friendly.

I got the Oolong Milk Tea with boba, less sugar, and less ice. I normally say less sugar and less ice everywhere I go when I order boba, but I should've read the legend. Less sugar doesn't mean less than half sugar here, but rather more than half sugar. At first the guy at the cashier said it was too late to change it, even though they hadn't given me my drink yet. But the drink was fixed and it tasted good, not too sweet which I prefer.

I got the Chicken Bun Thit Nuong, and it was delicious. The veggies tasted fresh and had a great crunch. The peanut sauce was also amazing, it complemented the dish so well. I loved the chicken: it was flavorful, sweet and savory, and had a great overall texture. It was a very memorable meal.“

“My husband, Skip, and I popped a bottle of Dom Pérignon, for NYE, and I had two glasses... I do not usually go so wild. But, after my crazy night, I needed a little pick-me-up. I decided to try this new "Point Break." I went to the drive-through, and the most LOVELY and STUNNING young girl took my order. She said her name was "Mary Catherine." She was very sweet. She answered all my questions about the menu with ease. Clearly well-studied. I got a "Mochiatto", suggested by Miss Mary Catherine. It was delicious and was perfect to cure these New Year's Morning willies! LOL!! I will definitely be back to this establishment.“

“Amazing breakfast. The cheese grits are the best I’ve ever had! I doubt there are two matching coffee mugs in the place which is just one of the quirky hip details of this oasis of calm and wonderful food. The wait staff’s clipboards are actually assorted children’s hardback books - ours was, Dr Seuss…brilliant touch! We were there for breakfast on a Friday and the place was full with a small (four or five folks) but consistent line of customers. Next time we are in Charleston The Three Little Birds is our first and multiple breakfast or lunch venue.“

“Hello! I am hoping that somebody can help me? I was at the market on Monday August 26th in the a.m.. It was either the last open air market or next to last open air market facing where the cruise ship was docking. The vendor was in the last booth on the left. Nice gentleman selling necklaces, earrings, and the most beautiful adjustable bracelets made with a beautiful glass type of stone. I believe the bracelets were maybe $20? He had blondish hair and was wearing glasses, and gave me his business card, but I have misplaced it and am very disappointed as I am on my way back to Ohio, and didn't make it back to the market to purchase a few before leaving for home. If anybody knows who I am referring to, could you please send me a message or his website? He has beautiful pieces, and I had my eye on both the orange and purple stone bracelets. Trying to contact him any help would be appreciated!“

Parking: Not too difficult to find parking nearby. Usually can find a spot on street. If not there are parking lots nearby.

Kid-friendliness: Kiddos love the desserts!“
