“Greens were a little salty. Broccoli salad was so good. The trout was crazy good. This was my first time going and it won't be my last. I loved the cornbread, too. This was a real southern experience. Perfect for Charleston. I want to try the bread pudding.Parking: There was plenty of available space but we arrived a little late. The lot is a little tight. Of the restaurant had been full it would be packed.“
“My only complaint about this place is that when you walk in, you don’t know what to do. No one greeted us and we didn’t know what to do. After asking, we learned its first come first serve, so you literally have to stand and wait for a table and rush to it before anyone else. Other than that, the food was excellent. The service was fantastic. The atmosphere was great. And the drinks were the best. Every time we visit the area, we will be back.“
“Worth the hype. So good, went for the first time last week and had to get it again two days later because I was craving it. Huge sandwiches worth every penny. Only two tiny tables outside so better for takeout! Shoutout to Carolina Kettle - the dill pickle and salt+vinnies are the best!“
“Okay, so I lived in New York for almost four years & after moving back home, this is the closest I can get to NYC pizza. It is absolutely DELICIOUS with top-notch ingredients —that baked with love and care — and genius parings. My co workers got the BIG CHEESY pizza as my going away present.Needless to say, it’s LAST MEAL WORTHY! Keep up the good work & CHARLESTON KNEADS D’ALS!!“
“El pollo guapo is a newish addition to the Folly Road restaurant options and I have had a chance to try it out a couple of times. The concept is easy: order at the counter, grab a number and pick your table. The food items I have tried and recommend are: - Chicken bowls: I had the Almost Legal bowl which has slaw, avocado, plantains, queso fresco , and of course their delicious rotisserie chicken. It was very good, but made on the healthy side, so the chicken skin was removed. If you are like me , ask for them to keep the skin. - Chicken nachos: Very good and different combo with notes of lime on the crema and the tajin sauce. It was weird at first but could not stop eating them after - Churros: ABSOLUTELYUT MAGIC. They are filled with dulce the leche and cooked perfectly. i like that you can order a single churro for cheap and dont have to get a full order like in other places. Great chicken and great times!“
“Every once in awhile you have a sandwich that makes you realize that to get a sandwich just right is kind of an art. There’s a lot of thought that goes into making it just right. This place nails that art, and not in a generic kind of way. It was unique, but they just nailed it. I was caught off guard. I got the pastrami sandwich.“
“Little Jack's Tavern is truly a gem. The staff was so lovely and the atmosphere was perfect. While I thoroughly enjoyed my black bean burger, I couldn’t help but feel a little jealous of the religious experience my boyfriend was having with his double tavern burger across from me. Do yourself a favor and visit this place… and order a margarita while you’re at it.“
“Ran over the other day right before close, had no idea what to order and couldn’t read menu, the print was a tad small. Young man working the register ran through all their offerings and welcomed us to sit and eat inside even after their business hours. Absolutely recommend if you are around the hospital area.“
“I’m a sucker for good customer service :) I’ve been here several times. I told a friend you could eat off the floor because it was so clean inside which is huge to me. I have enjoyed my meals, but the one thing that took me over the top was their coco bread. If you only try one thing please let it be the coco bread :) no regrets I promise. I got a side of Mac & Cheese and the side is huge and priced real good! Oh, my review wouldn’t be authentic if I didn’t mention that I wasn’t a fan of the Rasta pasta…trust me I really wanted to be, but it was new to me, and my taste buds said no thanks. The pasta and sauce combination were off but I have no clue if it’s suppose to be that way (more pasta than sauce…the flavors didn’t hit for me). Definitely coming back to try more items on the menu!!!“
“We make a point of coming here for lunch when visiting Charleston. It is right across from the market and very convenient to stop in for a break. There is something for everyone here. From just grilled cheese to great club sandwiches. She crab soup and chowder are also really good. They have a pretty big selection. We usually arrive a little before or after the lunch rush and always find a table. And we never wait very long for our food.Kid-friendliness: Several items on the menu for picky eaters - aka kids.“
“Holy moley y'all. I'm so jealous of this idea. This place is literally next to Music Farm and close to a Sharehouse, Bodega, Charleston Music Hall, etc. Perfect lil spot to guarantee to sell out. I found this place on Yelp (duh) and it had 5 stars. Looked on Google and it also has 5 stars. So naturally we take a trip downtown, park a little ways away due to all the events, and walk right up to a literal window on the side of a building (walk up ordering). Service was friendly. They just sold out of the burgers (so we must go back again) but we got the spicy chicken sandwich and fries. Where has Tullys been all of my life? This chicken sandwich is so damn good. Im also somewhat of a fry snob and usually never go back to a place for the fries....but Tullys I will return for both the fries and the main course. Highly recommend if you want QUALITY fast food!! I woke up this morning thinking about the whole shebang. We knew this would happen so we have one in the fridge so I don't have to wait until they open at 5p!!“
“UPDATE: Salad is still amazing. Come here regularly now and it is always consistent and delicious!!Also love the crispy smashed potatoes. One of the best salads of my life. Greek salad add roasted chicken.Everything about this salad was perfect. The thought that went into the topping preparations shows in every bite.I loved the textures of each bite. Each topping was chopped at the perfect size and each topping was the perfect portion adding perfect amount of flavor to the salad, not overpowering anything. The chicken being chopped into the cubes allowed chicken to be in each bite. The pita bread! oh wow was it soft, and it was perfectly warm.I am not a dressing pourer kind of person, so the consistency of the dressing was so so nice for people like me who dip the bite. But I ended up just using the pita in the dressing for each bite.I usually went for it in a wrap with the bit chunks of feta in there but this salad was. so. good.I will continue to come here.Place is clean, friendly service, delicious food, quick service. It is a perfect lunch spot!Give it a go! And to the chef and team there keep up the wonderful work!!Vegetarian options: Tons of vegetarian options, salads, wraps.Kid-friendliness: they have items for children as well.Parking: It can be tight depending on time of day but there is a side lot as well so it works out.Wheelchair accessibility: Tables have removeable chairs. The front door is wheelchair accessible. Plenty of room between tables as well.“
“Visited on a Thursday afternoon with 2 guests - restaurant wasn't very crowded (just a few other guests).Wouldn't describe staff as necessarily friendly - just did their job.Nice, clean atmosphere in a cute little tucked away location. Would recommend for a casual, quick meal with very decent prices.-Broccoli Cheddar (Average)-Greek Lemon Chicken Soup (Good)-She Crab Soup (Good)-Grilled Turkey Sandwich (Good)“
“A small but quality Chick-fil-A on The Citadel campus. This one is located within The Citadel Canteen building beside Mark Clark Hall. No, you do not have to be a cadet to go eat there as it is open to the public. The dining area is always clean, and the food always comes out great. They are usually busy serving cadets, but the line is always served quickly. Overall, it's a great little fast food restaurant.Parking: Free parking lot just behind the building.“
“Recently discovered this spot, the options are endless to be honest. There is a something for everyone…food is amazing, plus who doesn’t like an ice cream??Parking can get kind of hectic during lunch rush because it’s in the plaza but other than that? It’s so good, wish they had one closer to my area.“
“This was our first trip to Charleston and asking around were to go for dinner several people recommended Magnolias. We were not disappointed. The service and food were top notch. We started off with the Brussel Sprouts for an appetizer, they were fantastic, (wrote down the recipe to make these at home). My wife got the Buttermilk Fried Chicken and I got the Blacken Catfish. they both were great. If you want a good Southern dinner this is the place to go.“
