“Just a small place, a hidden gem, but a nice surprise with the food! Fresh and delicious! My grandson who attends The Citadel took us there. He had been before and she treats him to a free drink because he is in uniform. "Mama" Kim taking good care of our young people and feeding them well at a reasonable price! Thank you Mama Kim, we'll definitely come back next visit to Charleston!“
“This is a "cozy" little restaurant. I love Korean food, so I was very pleasantly surprised to find Korean food on the menu and not just Japanese food (which I also love). However, one must order and pay online by using a QR code on one's phone, and then select items without being able to ask the server about them. The Bulgogi was very delicious, as was the tempura shrimp (perfectly cooked and large pieces), and one side order of kimchee (not really enough) which does NOT come with the meal! And, they no longer serve the Korean "side dishes" which make Korean dining so nice. And, many menu items listed are not available - so why list them at all? It was very loud as well. Still, I cannot wait to return to try their other Korean dishes! I highly recommend Kanpai.“
“My partner and l live way in the mountains and don't get to many chances to eat amazing Asian food. This place did not disappoint and our server Ash was the best we could hope for. All the staff were attentive to us as guest and experienced in a little light banter. When we are back in the area we wfill def be visiting again.“
“We were a little hesitant due to the gas station location, but don't let it deter you from giving this place a try. It was busy with takeouts, and the interior is small and simple, but we got great service and the food was delicious! If I lived nearby I'd definitely be ordering takeout on a regular basis. Large menu and plenty to choose from. I enjoyed the Bulgogi and my daughter enjoyed the Pad Thai.“
