“I came here a few days back and the second I stepped into the deli, tears were almost brought to my eyes. I remember always going to Grouchos in Columbia, especially in my 20s with my grandpa and the same feeling that I got back then when I would enter the restaurant returned to me here. I ordered a reuben and it tasted the exact same as it did back then. That 45 sauce will never get old! The homey feel and hospitality that you are welcomed with inside this restaurant truly is one of a kind. I am not big on technology, given that I am coming up on year 75 and I usually don’t write reviews, but I think that everyone needs to know about this place. I envision grandpa seeing this Grouchos and being so happy and proud that the legacy has carried on. Groucho’s Deli Charleston, never change and I will be back.“

“Stopped in for lunch yesterday and had a great lunch. I ordered a modified NY Yankee that came with corned beef and pastrami with Swiss cheese on rye toast. I left the tomato and lettuce off and added Russian dressing and it was probably one of the best corned beef and pastrami sandwiches I’ve had in town. I had only tried East Bay on Uber Eats in the past and was consistently let down by how it travels. It didn’t do it justice. This was 100x better made fresh and so much cheaper than delivery. I’m glad I have them another chance and didn’t just base my opinion on delivery. The service was fine. Nothing especially friendly or standing out to me. The atmosphere was more of a family vibe with lots of tables with kids. It’s a pretty big space so you can get away some if needed.“

“No issues with Honey Baked Ham! I use them for my important holidays that require you to have Ham and Turkey! I love that I can order online and pick up in store and we earn points every time we order online. Mother's Day is coming up and I will be placing my order for some ham slices and Roasted turkey.“

“FINALLY GOOD PICKLES, you want real deli come here. The food took a bit to come out but we were there during peak time and it was definitely worth it. The burger club (I think that was the name) was really good, definitely recommend that with the chips. The key lime pie was also very tasty, it had the perfect tang. Overall this was a very enjoyable experience especially since my family has history with this place and I was able to listen to their stories about it. Definitely recommend here except you should plan around the wait for the food, but it IS worth it!“

“I was in town staying at the hotel across the street and looking for dinner somewhere close by that wasn't the typical fast food fare. The desk clerk recommended East Bay Deli and I'm so glad he did. I had the Club Calhoun and potato salad, both of which were delicious. The employees were very friendly and the atmosphere enjoyable enough I decided to stay and eat rather than take back to the hotel. I will definitely be making this a regular stop when staying in the area.“

Employees were very friendly and the food was absolutely amazing!!!! I had the Eggplant Parmesan sub that was stacked with such flavorful eggplant! My wife had a margarita sandwich and added eggplant. She said it was so delicious. We both got a small container of pasta salad, both trying different ones. I had the pimento cheese and chicken one that was out of this world with so many flavors going on! My wife said hers was in incredible also but I don’t know the name of hers. It was some type of rice mix salad. We will definitely be back!“

“I am so impressed with Buck's and their manager, Matt (although all the staff was amazing)! They make their coffee syrups in-house, and I tried their seasonal Blueberry Lemon Latte. It was incredible! By far one of the best coffees I've ever had, and I'm a self proclaimed coffee snob, so that's saying something. Then, because I mentioned to Matt that I couldn't wait for their PSL to come out, he made some pumpkin sauce while I was still here and I got to try that, too! The entire staff is fun, friendly, and you can tell they truly appreciate you being there. They are energetic and lively, which is PERFECT for this atmosphere. Both lattes I had were incredible! I can't say enough about this place! I will for sure be back, and telling everyone about Buck's!“

“I recently moved here about a week ago and stopped into this location as it was near work. I automatically felt overwhelmed with the amount of guest that were already in line ahead of me. Knowing that I had limited time I asked the woman that took my order to recommend something that was quick but also good. She suggested an in house favorite and advised that it would be out in no time. 20 mins later and two more refills of what was some really good sweet tea; I'm still waiting on my order. Now I will admit it was busy but I think I was caught up on the fact that I had expressed I didn't have a lot of time, I was new there, and that my order would be quick. That's when I met Taylor! I had no idea at the time she was the GM and only found out this morning. She came over to check on me and notice right away that while I was calm; I was getting antsy. She took it upon herself to call out my order to the back and get me an update and apologized for the wait. Moments later, not only did she give my food to to me herself, but comped the meal as well. This took me by surprise because you just don't find people who actually care anymore. This small act of kindness is what made me return to the restaurant this morning for a quick breakfast. Kudos to you Taylor for making my experience worth it and showing amazing leadership and kindness to your guest.“
