“A group of 6 of us snagged a last minute opening this past weekend and we could not have had a better experience. Brian (I think!?) took great care of us throughout the meal. Because we were all visiting from out of town, we also brought our 6 month old, which initially made me a little nervous given the size and vibe of Merci. This was a non-issue. The chef/owner came out and made a point to say “hello” to her. This small interaction was really meaningful and put my first time mom nerves at ease. Food and wine were outstanding. We’re still talking about the cabbage caesar salad! Thank you for a wonderful evening.“

“An excellent meal with outstanding service in this charming and elegant French restaurant on King Street in downtown Charleston. Every dish they brought us was decadent. The charred octopus and cider glazed carrots were the perfect beginners and two at our table ordered the Boeuf En Croute. Magnificent.“

“Two Bit Club crushed it. Jackie behind the bar was awesome, drinks were on point all night. Dave took care of us at the table and made everything super easy.
The tuna tartare was unreal and the crudo was straight up fire. One of those meals where everything just hits.

“My family celebrated my niece’s 21st birthday with you this past Monday (I missed out due to illness) and did nothing but rave about not only the food but the service! The staff individually and personally signed a birthday card for my niece, had a special dessert for her and a small gift and treated her and the rest of my family extremely well! They said the food was amazing! I am so disappointed I had to miss out but plan on making a trip to your wonderful restaurant the next time we visit Charleston!“

The atmosphere stands out warm, energetic, and full of personality. It definitely captures that fun “Ooh Là Là!” vibe that makes it feel like a night out.

Service was attentive and friendly, keeping things moving smoothly throughout the meal.
The food was comforting the French onion soup was rich and cheesy with great flavor though a few elements didn’t quite rise to the same level as the service and ambiance. Still, a good spot for traditional French fare in a vibrant setting.
