The Charleston Crab House was great I got the low country shrimp boil. The shrimp tasted fresh and was seasoned well. The sausage was very good and so was the sweet tea. The prices are pretty high but if you get shrimp it will be a lot cheaper than crab.
I am from MD, and I have come to the conclusion that you cannot compare seafood between the two states. So saying all of that, the crab house has the best seafood (with fleet landing) here in downtown charleston. We got a whole bunch of steam pots (which is what they are known for) along with a couple sandwiches. It was good. The prices are solid here for what you get, no complaints there. Delightful crabhouse right by Market St. We were seated upstairs and loved the ambiance. Started with hush puppies, which are definitely a must! They come with honey butter. We also shared the shrimp with grits and cheese along with the shrimp po boy. Both dishes were terrific. Although, the po boy was a little small for the price.
