A nice upscale / casual located in the heart of Forest Acres. A place I’ve dined several times over the years. Food has been exceptional every time. The seared rare duck has to be my favorite dish.Parking: Limited shared parking lot

Tombo Grille has become one of my favorite hidden spots. Richard introduced me to this hidden jewel a few months ago. It's back in the cut on Forest Drive and has a unique vibe. There's a bar upon entry and seating throughout. It's not a large space, which makes it more intimate for couples or small parties. They have daily specials, but also a full menu. I ordered a house salad, which was really good. The lettuce used was cut nicely, and the ingredients were fresh! My entree was the chicken parmesan, and it was delicious. The chicken was tender, and there was plenty of sauce and cheese, but not overbearing. Richard ordered the riveted, which he is a filet person, but the ribeye was very flavorful and tender even cooked well done. His sides were the collards and German potato salad, which he said was pretty good. We really wanted to try the salmon, but they were out.Our server was great, very engaging and attentive. Great food, great service, great atmosphere!

Always a favorite when we come to town. Fresh local ingredients. The menu is small so each dish is done well. We almost chose somewhere else tonight and I'm so glad we didn't as this was one of the best meals we've had here! Fresh heirloom tomato salad on a bed of arugula with feta and a balsamic drizzle. Mahi Mahi special with a lovely couscous and the best salmon ever.

We met some friends at Tombos last night. Everyone had a great meal and a great time. I wish I could remember our servers name because she was great. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

My friend was coming in from out of town and I was looking for a place to take him for dinner after I picked him up from the airport. My sister and I were going to go here but one of us was always busy when this place was open. Anyways, I took him here and everything was amazing. We both had the salmon and I brought home the meatloaf for my husband and it was fantastic!!! Definitely highly recommend! a little pricy but worth it!

Tombo Grille, nestled at 4517 Forest Dr. Columbia, SC 29206, is an absolute delight! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that will make you feel right at home. While it may appear small from the outside, don't let that fool you – once you step inside, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the spacious interior. We kicked off our dining experience with the delectable Chopped Salad, a delightful medley of romaine lettuce, juicy tomatoes, crisp cucumbers, diced egg, toasted almonds, savory bacon, sharp cheddar cheese, all dressed in a creamy honey mustard vinaigrette. It was a refreshing start that left us eager for more.Next, we indulged in the Korean BBQ Spring Rolls, which were a true culinary delight. While the hoisin dipping sauce wasn't quite to my liking, the spring rolls themselves were absolutely wonderful on their own—bursting with flavor and perfectly crispy. For our main courses, we had the pleasure of trying the Corned Beef Special for Saint Patrick's Day, a delightful nod to tradition that left us feeling festive and satisfied. We also sampled the Chicken Parmesan, featuring tender chicken smothered in lemon herb ricotta, pomodoro sauce, and melted mozzarella, served alongside angel hair aglio e olio. Each bite was a symphony of flavors that left us craving more.Overall, the food and atmosphere at Tombo Grille exceeded our expectations, making it a true hidden gem in Columbia. We highly recommend paying a visit – you won't be disappointed!

If you like to eat where the "locals" eat, Tombo is your place to enjoy fine dining in a local setting. The food is excellent -- too many favs to list -- the menu staples are always a good choice, and the weekly specials bring a range of variety so each visit offers a new experience.

Love the atmosphere, friendly staff and neighborhood vibe at Tombo! Fresh, yummy food that was perfectly prepared(pear salad w/shrimp), attentive service(Emma was wonderful!), and the cocktails were creative and delicious (Agave Maria) and just strong enough. Also love the variety on the regular menu as well as the daily specials. Always enjoy my time at Tombo!
