I had a good lunch here. I had the shrimp sandwich on a hamburger bun. The loaded potato salad would have tasted great except that the potato was not cooked through, they were al dente. The waitress immediately offered to switch out my side dish. I chose the potato croquettes. They are wonderfully crunchy with a creamy mashed interior. They taste as if they are made without salt.They charge an extra fee if paying by card, which is fair. Remember to bring cash if you'd like to avoid the fee.

My girlfriend and I stopped at the Angel Oak Restaurant for lunch as a random choice after experiencing the Angel Oak. We were both so glad that we did!The food was absolutely delicious and prepared in unique ways. I had the shrimp and grits with fried green tomatoes. I keep trying shrimp and grits at different places and those that I had here were among the best. We chose beignets and banana pudding for dessert. Again. Both were wonderful. They serve very good coffee and ice tea as well.The wait staff was knowledgeable, friendly, attentive and helpful. The atmosphere was comfortable and pleasant.I will gladly go back there if I'm ever in the area.

Great service. Great outdoor seating options. Fried chicken was the juiciest I’ve ever had, though it could have used a little salt. The shrimp and grits was delicate and delicious with perfectly cooked shrimp. Your server makes your cocktails which means faster drink service. There is a “speakeasy” cocktail lounge behind the main restaurant that seemed to be packed with locals. Cons: Small dining room with crazy-uncomfortable seating. Not to mention you’re very close to your neighbors. Beware the locals who do not treat this with the respect it deserves, especially the obstructive elderly and couples with young children.Parking: Overflow lot in an adjoining lot

Great service and food. You really can't go wrong with a regular menu item or chef special. I had the lobster, ricotta stuffed ravioli with a shrimp old bay cream sauce. Yeah it was way better than it sounds!!!

The restaurant is right off 17 and convenient on the way to the airport. I had the shrimp buns and mac and cheese; it was very good. My wife and daughter had the fried chicken and grits; excellent.

This place is amazing. Their mushroom soup was probably the best I've had. Their salad dressings are super good and their salad ingredients are fresh. Shrimp and grits was pretty good. I would have liked better shrimp but the grits were on point and the spicy sauce was pretty good. The fried green tomatoes (with shrimp and grits) were outstanding.I tried a bite of the crab cake and it was full of crab. Lovely breading. Good size.Also did the Hush puppies. They were ok. The slaw that they came with was good. And the sauce on top of them were good. Otherwise I wasn't over impressed by them. I am picky though and prefer a sweeter dough.Atmosphere is super cute and homey. Service was top notch.I highly recommend a stop here.
