“We never miss coming here on our 5-6 visits to Little River/Myrtle Beach each year. The staff is welcoming, friendly, courteous and efficient. The restaurant is clean. The buffet is plentiful with a variety of southern specialties and the food is kept fresh by the attentive servers. Ordering off the menu is an alternative with daily specials for breakfast and lunch posted. We look forward to seeing the familiar faces each trip. Thanks. Evi and staff!“

“I usually never think too much about meals when dining out, but this one was exquisite. I had a lobster tail cut into 6 slices which were two bites a piece, encrusted in parmesan cheese and anchovies chopped finely with bread to enjoy the delicious sauce. For entre, had Chilean sea bass in a white wine, butter sauce. Fantastic meal! My wife had oysters Rockefeller for her appetizer and Sea Scallops for her entree. Service was wonderful by Paxton, would highly recommend the restaurant to anyone.“

“This is truly a "SPECIAL" place!! We had been wanting to visit for a while.We are truly impressed!! This is a "REAL BAKERY"!!Their Flan is perfection! Excellent texture,flavor and appearance! The muffins are large and tasty! The strawberry cake is a piece of Spring...light and full of strawberry ?! Outstanding Cake Pops and Macaroons. We still have a few items to try!!We saw one of their Special Occasion cakes being picked up...It was Gorgeous!!BUT...I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THEIR TAMALES!! REAL,HOMEMADE,DELICIOUS, AUTHENTIC TAMALES!! YOU HAVE TO ORDER IN ADVANCE...BUT SO WORTH IT!! WE ARE TRYING THE HOMEMADE EMPANADAS NEXT WEEK!!YUM!!This is a locally owned and operated business. The owners and staff are so welcoming and pleasant! Go! GO! GO!“

“Our family stopped in for dinner Tuesday evening, the food was EXCELLENT! (Especially the eggplant Parm) Our waitress was a hoot, great service with humor! We accidentally overstayed, they were trying to close and we kept talking and eating. Despite our rudeness, we had nothing but kindness from the staff. We will be back, and next time will be more considerate of the staff :-)“

“I ordered a cake for my wife's 70th birthday and chose Cakes by the Sea because of the reviews and the quality of their website. I attempted to call the store on a day they showed as open, but there was no answer. I used a link to send an email and a couple of days later I received an email response that stated they were closed for vacation and would not be open for a couple more weeks. In my opinion, this information should have been posted on their website so that customers are aware. I wanted to order a specialized cake for this occasion so I was happy to wait since I did not need it for some time. I went to the store and ordered the cake a couple of weeks before the pickup. The woman who assisted me was friendly and assisted me with choosing the cake and the specific decorations that would be added. Because this was a surprise I was not able to pick the cake up the day of the party and had arranged for a friend go to pick it up. When I placed the order there were a couple of specific things that I requested to be done. Many who read this will say that this may be a bit nit picky but the sea grass piping on the side of the cake was to be done in a brown icing and was done in white. They also were to add additional white chocolate sea horses, which they did. That being said, the cake was truly a hit with my wife and all those who attended the party. The chocolate cake was moist and delicious and the peanut butter butter cream was also very good. overall I was pleased with the cake with the exception of the seagrass color, which would have given the sides of the cake a little more texture visually. The 4 stars is given because the cake was not completed exactly as ordered and for a higher end cake it should have been correct. The other reason is due to the website not reflecting the lengthy closing for vacation. I have contacted the store and discussed for informational purposes the missed sea grass color and they appreciated the information. I would absolutely recommend this bakery as a place to have a cake ordered and will order from here myself again in the future.“

“This is my go-to place for our of town friends, as well as with other locals. The tea selection is amazing (today I had Tower of London), the sandwiches and treats for High Tea are amazing, the service is amazing, the atmosphere is amazing. And I get to wear my most outrageous hats every time!Treat yourself!“

“My family and I just finished eating pizza and meatball subs from this restaurant during our visit to N. Myrtle Beach and it is by far some of the best pizza I've had. Customer service is excellent here as well, from the time you walk in until you exit the doors, very friendly staff!! Definitely will be back the next time we vacation in N. Myrtle Beach as well as recommend to others!Parking: Easy to navigate in and out of parking lot.“

“Such a great spot for date night. Food was amazing, Jamie was a fantastic server and when I left my card they called me within 5 minutes of leaving. The smoked fish dip is the most amount of dip I’ve gotten anywhere. Get the yellow fin tuna, any special they have that night and if you’re really lucky, the chorizo soup will be the soup of the night. 15 outta 10!!!“

“Unbelievably Good!! Great portion sizes at a reasonable price. Super atmosphere. Everyone was knowledgeable and nice that we came in contact with, especially our waitress Caroline … took very good care of us (party of 3). Eat there, you won’t be disappointed!!“

“They are wonderful about accommodating allergies. My son has peanut, tree nut, and coconut allergies, and they have a chart readily available listing what items contain what allergens so he could choose something nut-free. They were so patient with him and opened up a fresh container of ice cream and a new pack of cones to ensure there was no cross-contamination. I can’t tell you how much this means to me as a parent with a child who has allergies and is constantly left out of things like cake and ice cream. Thank you so much for taking the time to accommodate him! I appreciate it SO much!“
