Snafu Brewing Company Brewery • $$
3280 Industry Dr, North Charleston

“Snafu has quickly become one of my favorite places to hang out, drink the best sours you'll find anywhere, and have fun with all the events and trucks they have visit. The staff is one of the biggest bonuses as is the brewery dog she is the sweetest. The rotation of sours is always bringing me back weekly if not more and the price for a crowler can't be beat. More pictures to come but for now I'll show off the food from the seol ahs truck they have about weekly“

Wind & Waves Brewing Brewery • $$
4427 Spruill Ave, North Charleston

“Trying out this place for the first time, and I am loving it! The beer is very flavorful and the atmosphere is chill. The coconut stout is amazing! It's not too loud, they have card games on the tables, and you can actually have a conversation without being drowned out by noise or music. Great place to unwind on a Friday night compared to many other bars or brew pubs!“

Freehouse Brewery Brewery • $
2895 Pringle St B, North Charleston

“My wife and I were looking for someplace to get a beer after visiting Magnolia Plantation. We found this place on the internet and decided to try it. There are absolutely no signs to lead you into the place, you just have to trust your GPS! Once you find it, you will love this brewery. With a fantastic view of the Ashley River and great tasting beer at very reasonable prices, you can't go wrong. If we lived locally, this would be a weekly hangout.“

COAST Brewing Company Brewery • $
1250 2nd St N, North Charleston

“Now that the new building and kitchen is up and running, I can tell you the food here is as good as anywhere in Charleston. They offer snappy small plates and elevated finger foods, perfect with a beer or craft cocktail. A full bar and unlimited beer on tap to go with great bartenders and a chef that takes it to the next level will bode well for their future here considering the areas new redevelopment plan on the horizon.“

“This place is awesome! Friendly bartenders, great beers, I mean... who makes their own soda? These guys do. The nostalgia of the video game systems, the great space, it's a perfect mix. I've brought several friends here and will be coming here as regularly as possible.“

Tideland Brewing Brewery • $$
4155 Dorchester Rd Suite C, North Charleston

“This place was an excellent find. Looking for lunch, came across it for beer and they ended up having satisfying food. Big menu for a brewery. Shared three items, and we liked all of them. The cucumber salad was a huge hit with both of us. Also the meat sampler platter was HUGE. Easily could have served 4. I was hesitant about the smoked cream cheese, and its the thing I ended up liking the most!! Unique and really good. Don't miss it when you are there. Served with the pita chips it can be a meal in itself. Pickle chips were exactly what you think a fried pickle chip is. Beers were good and worth the 3.79 overall brewery rating on Untapped. Good draft variety, offerings of wine and cider as well for those who don't like/can't have beer. Was quiet the day we were there, but certainly can see it getting busy and loud. Recommend for lunch, absolutely. Wish I could give 4.5 stars. It wasn't quite 5, but it is better than 4.“

LO-Fi Brewing Brewery • $
2038 Meeting Street Rd, North Charleston

“My wife and I were visiting Charleston for the first time this past week and found our way over to Lo-Fi brewing on Saturday night. It was a fun time and the Blueberry Wheat and the Farm Pils were great beers. It was a quiet evening at the time and we found ourselves having a blast talking to the bartender and a couple of other patrons.I wanted to thank our bartender, Britney (I think that was her name. I'm sorry if I got that wrong), and the other two people there that night (I'm sorry I also forgot their names). They were friendly, welcoming, and fun to talk to. They told us all about their beers and the brewery. Moreover, as we talked to them about our trip so far, they gave us a list of other great restaurants, bars, and activities to check out during our trip to Charleston. I can't thank them enough for chatting with us and sharing great ideas for things to do in Charleston!“

Commonhouse Aleworks Brewery • $$

“The brewery here is good not great. The beers like many other breweries need to go down smoother, ipas can be smooth and hoppy- not mutually exclusive. However, the new BBQ purveyors here are absolutely top notch! Swig and Swine now provides their amazing meats (and salads).“

Holy City Brewing Brewery • $$
1021 Aragon Ave, North Charleston

“I can't believe I haven't done a review yet!! I love this brewery - its vast outdoor space, variety of seating, offerings of beer, wine, mead, kombucha, nonalcoholic drinks. It's great for groups, mini parties, families with kids of all ages running around playing. I like to bring my puzzle here because the picnic benches are a'plenty so can usually find one out in the back area where you don't need to wait on an attendant. My friend got us some coconut shrimp and juicy mozzarella sticks. I tried the s'mores stout and f..fruit the pain away a tribute to the singer Peaches (RIP). Love the atmosphere here and ability to find a seat amongst the vast crowds!! The marshland views are also a treat.“
