“This was a dinner date and the service and food were spot-on! The server was very observant and left us alone unless she saw a need! She made great suggestions for wine pairings. The food, the wine, and the atmosphere made for a great evening and date.”

“Black Rooster is in a great location just across the Gervais St bridge. There is plenty of parking next to or in the free public lot behind. The ambience is very crisp and cute without being tacky. The “doodles” on the wall are fun to look at while you’re there. We had the roasted beet appetizer, the whipped ricotta appetizer and the escargot appetizer. All three were delicious. I’m not sure which was my favorite. I had the Fields of Benevento cocktail which was light and really delicious. The chicken Parmesan was enormous and served on a plate with broccoli rather than baked. The flavor was a little bland but still enjoyable. The Royale with Cheese was a big hit with the other two diners (though they both said order extra Dijonaise with it). We tried the pistachio crusted ricotta cake and the butterscotch pudding for dessert. Both were delicious. The ricotta cake is flourless and not very filling. It comes with a scoop of sorbet as well. The butterscotch pudding was heaven but very rich. I recommend multiple spoons for the desserts. Our service was absolutely incredible. Drew was our server and his personality was amazing. Very attentive without being annoying or hovering. He definitely made the experience more enjoyable. (I forgot pics of the appetizers)”

“Great atmosphere and service, exquisite food and drink on the roof. We arrived at the 10:30 opening when a manager explained that food would take ~20 minutes, if the response time reached 40 minutes they would stop taking orders until the kitchen caught up. The taproom and outside tables were busy with lots of happy kids and doggies. 4/18/24 update: popular place, great beer and good food. If you're sitting outside, you can order food from the restaurant window and get your drink (beer, wine, whiskey, whatever) at the inside bar.”

“My stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Columbia Airport was exactly what I wanted and needed after having a very hard, stressful week. One of your employees, Jalan Nelson, was very professional, respectful and overall an awesome person!!! He makes guests feel welcomed and not like we're just another guest checking in to the hotel. My experience at Hilton Garden Inn Columbia Airport was great and I will definitely stay there again and again!!!! “Stopped there around 9:30pm after flying in to the Columbia Airport. Although the kitchen was already closed, Jacob was so nice to make us some delicious food. Jacob and the bartender Julia went out of their way to make me and my friend comfortable and welcome! We really appreciated the wonderful service and hospitality! Such a great place to go! “I was in South Carolina for little more than 12 hours and was eager to eat some southern BBQ. The BBQ pit at the Columbia Airport was my only real option. Fortunately I was not disappointed! The BBQ and the fried chicken were both very good. The collered greens were also tasty. The roll was a bit of a disappointment. All in all pretty good airport food.”

“10/10 definitely the new go-to coffee spot. This was our first time and the atmosphere was very chill. We tried the white chocolate raspberry iced latte, dirty chai latte, caramel macchiato, dragon latte, the apple fritter, caramel doughnut, and cream filled coffee cake. All of which were drool-worthy and delicious. Parking wasn’t difficult and the prices are very comparable to other coffee shops in the area. The barista was super friendly and patient with us. “What! As a patron way back in the Food Lion strip mall days, this was hands down the best buffet in town, & sad when they closed. I watched when they broke ground on this new location. I couldn't be the first to enjoy since now I have an autistic child of habit, new isn't easy for us. Using my Super Mama powers, we went for lunch on his birthday in January. I do not have enough room on here to describe the ambiance, cleanliness, kindness, etc... Lucas & I will NOT EVER eat out anywhere else, not even fast food joints kids are attracted to. You get your own hibachi chef, sushi buffet with chef, "traditional" American foods, full salad bar, bars full of Chinese & Chinese-American foods, soups, desserts, superior service, a really undescribable without experiencing for yourself just daily lunch. So much deliciousness to even attempt to enjoy in a 2-hour visit for the price of chicken nuggets, fries, drink, & shake at fast food joints! If the lunch is mind (gut) blowing, supper must be out of this world! Soon. I have to judge many places by staff because of my son, who not only rolled out the red carpet for him/us, but innumerable amounts of other-abled folks, which is important to me. I have traveled & eaten at many places. I now have built-in ADA EYE. My eyes have never, ever, laid eyes on wait staff, or owners, who help a blind person or someone in a wheelchair get tabled and then helped with food selections, plating, and seated to enjoy. Care, respect, not enough words for this either. I have heard the owners waited 15+ years, raising $1,000,000 to create a dream for themselves and their patrons. Where in Columbia, Lexington, Orangeburg, Sumter, Charlotte, Augusta, Greenville, Charleston, Atlanta, and so on, can you get the same? Send me a Gmail & we will talk! “Been meaning to try this place out for quite some time and finally got the chance. Just wish I’d tried it sooner - this place is great!! Friendly and attentive waitstaff. Started with the salsa bar, which was nice. Lots of choices on the menu. Food came quickly and was delicious! This place is definitely one of the best restaurants in the area for Mexican food. Highly recommend!!”

“Sunday Sunshine and BBQ today in Cola..I have had City Limits on my list to visit and today we had the pleasure of having an amazing lunch there. Don't let the line discourage you, it's more than worth the wait. Robbie did not disappoint with everything we had. We arrived about 45 minutes after they opened, and unfortunately the large group in front of us cleared out the chopped bbq and spare ribs...but the sweet guys managing the front gave us the last two ribs and a few slices of pork belly to try. We got the brisket dog,made in house of course,Sally's style with jalapeño coleslaw and brisket chili. We also got shells and cheese, Frito Pie, Brunswick stew, and a Pork Belly Banh Mi. I think I will probably dream about that pork belly. It was cooked perfectly and melt in your mouth tender. The honey cornbread literally tasted like dessert. I can't say enough great things about them and we can't wait to come back on Saturday to try all of the different bbq. They are only open Saturday and Sunday so come early before they run out!”

“Service and atmosphere really don't apply here. This is a business that started as a food truck, so you come here for the food. Pupusas are made to order. Mine took a while, but in their defense, they had just opened. Also, they were worth the wait. I had 3, which was a good amount of food and it was only $12, including Horchata (also delicious). They have lots of protein choices. For the more adventurous, they have beef head (I'm assuming mostly cheek), beef tongue, and tripe. They also have a nice selection of baked goods and some donuts that looked good.”

“I sampled some of their Cinnamon loaf at a family member’s house over Christmas holidays, YUM!! So today we took a Sunday afternoon drive to find them. Not only did I snag a full Cinnamon loaf for us, we tried a new offering, personal sized Napoleon! It was the perfect sweet snack for the 2 of us on our afternoon adventures. “Very good restaurant hidden in a small shopping center in Cayce. Aren’t the best Thai restaurants in places like this. I’m glad I tried it. Wonderful. I had the Pad Kee Mao with Chicken (Thai Hot) and Vietnamese Eggrolls, and Hot and Sour Soup. All fantastic. The noodles were thin rice noodles. I’m used to thick rice noodles for this dish, but it was still great. The Vietnamese eggrolls were amazing. Thin rice noodles with Chicken. Strong recommendation from me.”

“Mai Thai is one of my favorite sit-down Asian restaurants in the area. They have a very calm, relaxing atmosphere and the food is delicious. The service was slow on my most recent visit, but I wasn't in any rush to go anywhere afterward so it wasn't a big deal to me.”

“I had a nice lunch here recently. This is a very clean and efficiently run establishment. The decor is a little dark, but is warm and inviting. I was seated promptly and told about the day's specials. I chose the Gyro platter. This comes with a serving of gyro meat, pita bread, rice and Greek potatoes. Tzatziki sauce is served on the side. They were not busy that day and the wait for the food was longer than expected , but the result was a satisfying and tasty. Check it out!”

The brisket, specifically, was so tender and smokey.The surprise standout was actually a side, the Sweet Potato Casserole! I didn’t realize sweet potato could be so good. It was topped with a brown sugar crust and pecans and I could have, and should have, eaten 3-4 servings. Would go back just for that.Service was so quick. Make your order at the front, pay, and they brought out the food within minutes. I have come to the South a handful of times and it is not quite known for speedy service, but Maurice’s is an exception to that and I couldn’t be more impressed by how quickly they had the food ready.”

“Today is our 18th anniversary and we decided to come have breakfast here. We tried this restaurant in Boc Raton on our 10th as well. Our waiter Bobby was amazing. So friendly, gave great suggestions and paid close attention to detail. Couldn't have asked for better service. Our food was 10 out of 10! So many things on the meno sounded great! Didn't get a picture of my lobster and brie omelet but hubs snapped a pic of his Creole Benedict! Coffee was great and plentiful. We will definitely be back.”

“This place is fire best Chinese food that I’ve had in a long time. Menu is very simple but I recommend the Super Combo that includes fried rice with your choice of protein, 2 wings, 1 egg roll and sweet tea.. The portions are great! The egg roll is big one of the biggest egg rolls I’ve had. The fried rice is very good I had them add some chili paste to the fried rice and it was incredible. This is going to be my new go to spot for Chinese. One final thing the prices are very reasonable the combo was less than $10. You’ll be full with that plate!”

I get the General Tsos Chicken, steamed dumplings, crab ragoon, beef lomein, and chicken with vegetables. The shrimp fried rice has plenty of shrimp. I am glad I found them.”

My only quirks were it is very dark in the front and needs a neon sign or lights in the front to brighten it up. That is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. “Having watched the Golden Arches being constructed fifty years ago (cheese burgers were .15 cents then) I can assure you the food prepared there is safe because I’m 72 years of age now. At that time they advertised that over two million were sold and look closely at the sign now. I still get a double cheeseburger and fries weekly but the cost has gone significantly up!”

“Have always wanted to try a Firehouse sub restaurant but the aren't any around where we live. So when we were on vacation and saw one we tried it and we're not disappointed. I had the pulled pork coleslaw on Hawaiian bun. It was so delicious. My husband had an Italian and was very happy with his also.”
